What happens when you stop trading endless hours for mediocre results and switch to a service that actually gives you your time back?

In this student spotlight episode, I'm chatting with Natasha, a mom of two from Los Angeles who spent seven years in the online space doing branding, web design, and, most recently, Pinterest management. She was working hours upon hours for clients paying $775 to $997 a month and couldn't even see clear results from her efforts.

Then she joined Conversions for Clients, landed two ad clients within two weeks at $1,000 each, and made her entire investment back before the 45-day mark.

The best part? She went from not being able to track her time because she was always working to spending maybe 10 hours a month on her ad clients. Same money, fraction of the time.

In this episode, we cover:

  • Why Natasha was so frustrated with Pinterest management (and why organic services can burn you out)
  • How she landed her first two ad clients from her existing client base
  • The pricing and contract structure she used to transition clients smoothly
  • What it actually feels like to go from constant work to 10 hours a month
  • Her 90-day goals for phasing out Pinterest and going all in on ads
  • Why ads might be the perfect fit if you have both a creative and analytical brain
  • The unlimited opportunities available when you learn ad management

If you're a service provider spending way too many hours on organic content and not seeing the results you want for your clients, this episode is your sign that there's a better way.

[00:00:00]

Brandi: Welcome, serve, scale, soar family. Oh my goodness. I am so excited about today's episode 'cause I love our student spotlight episodes, and I have a brand stinging new member of Conversions for Clients joining me today.

So, Natasha, tell my listeners who you are as a person about your life and then about your business.

Natasha: I am so excited to be here and have just been so happy with conversions for clients. So I'm so excited to chat with you about everything, but my name's Natasha. I am a mom of two. I live in Los Angeles area, and I've been in the online space for about seven years.

Brandi: Okay, so seven years. What have you been doing in the online space for the last seven years?

Natasha: I feel like I've done a mix of things. I started with branding and web design, and I did that for the longest, and then most recently in the past couple years, I transitioned into Pinterest management. So I've been doing that lately.

Brandi: Okay. And now we've made another pivot. Yeah. [00:01:00] Into ads. And one thing I always tell people is like, when it comes to naming your business, always just use your own name because your business will evolve over time. Like you've went from branding to Pinterest to now meta ads, and we wanna make sure that our business has room to breathe, because how you start is probably not where you're gonna be seven years from now.

Natasha: Exactly, and I have changed my business name so many times. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to like refile things and just, it's such a mess. So that's really great advice that I wish I would've listened to.

Brandi: And the funny thing is when I started, I love a good alliteration, conversions for clients strategist society.

Like we're all about serve, scale, soar. We are all about alliterations. And so when I started my business, I, I was doing social media, like organic social media. And I called myself brand by Brandy Thinking it was like, oh, it's like all about like your online brand. No, everyone came to me for website graphics [00:02:00] branding and I was like, that's not what I do at all.

So just like using your name is always a really good option.

Natasha: Yeah. That's so funny that you say that because my current business name is Brand Theory Studio and I'm like, oh, I don't know. Do I wanna change it again? Do I just wanna go with it?

Brandi: No, just go with it. It's totally fine. It's totally fine. Just go with it.

But Natasha, so I, it's funny because we started doing where. I'm really paying attention to the group, seeing who's doing what. And we always say in conversions for clients, share your wins. And you're someone who's coming out of the gate hot sharing your wins. And I love that 'cause it lets us see what people are doing and then you can help other people who may be not.

As inspired or maybe they're scared or something's holding them back from take action. But when you come in and you're sharing your wins, it helps other people go out and do the dang thing as well. And so you came in the group pretty hot, sharing the wins and I love it. And that's where I found out like, oh, Natasha, we gotta get her on here and talk with her because [00:03:00] you made a post and you were like.

Within two weeks, I've already made my investment back in conversions for clients. So tell us what has, because you've, as we're recording this, it hasn't even been a full two months yet. We're like less than like 45 days into the program. You've already made your investment back. You're doing the dang thing.

So tell us what that's looked like for you since you've joined.

Natasha: Yeah. Well, I so agree. I love seeing other people's posts and I love that the Facebook group is part of the course because it is really helpful not only to see people's wins, but to also ask the questions and to see people who are a lot further along than I am.

It was really helpful and really motivating too. So I am not honestly a big sharer. So when I joined the course I was like, I'm in the course, I'm gonna go full throttle and I'm sharing every single win. And it kind of helped keep myself motivated, like even for as much as I want other people to see it, it was really for me to [00:04:00] be like, wow, this is working.

And I'm like writing it down and I can see it. But the entire course, like. It's been a whirlwind of everything happening so fast for me, and it's been really exciting. Um, I think when I joined I, funny enough, I joined at like 10 o'clock at night one night. I like just happened to see your email and I had to go back and look at my emails of when I even found you and I took like a course of yours back in July.

Of 2025. Okay. And then I was just so busy with work and I was like, I wanna do this. I know I wanna do this, but not right now. And then I saw your email like at the end of January and I just decided to sign up. And from there I was like, I'm doing this. I love what she's saying, and I know that it's possible and I know that I can do it, and I know that I'm gonna have everything that I need.

Inside the course, and so I [00:05:00] just did it. Like the biggest thing that you said that helped me was like. It's, it might take a while to get clients, so like, why not start asking, start reaching out immediately? Because by the time that it normally happens, it's not usually a week later or two weeks later. Um, so I really just like ran with it and I just started asking, and I was lucky enough to have existing clients and those are who my ad clients are now.

Um, but. I really just listened to everything that you said and didn't listen to myself in that moment because I trusted what your advice was and knew that it might take a little bit longer.

Brandi: And I think that's the thing we always say, like on average, have all of our students to land your first client if you're following the marketing minutes, 45 to 60 days.

But then I preface that with, if you already have existing clients, you can make this happen quicker [00:06:00] because you have that know, like trust built into clients, but also. If you can land clients for one service, you can land clients for another service. So you've already built that skill where someone just starting it.

It may take the full 45 to 60 days to find a client, but you already had those skills, which is the perk of transitioning from one service to another. And so with the current clients that you have and that you landed, you landed two new clients, right? For ad services?

Natasha: Yes.

Brandi: Okay. Awesome. How much are you charging per month for them?

Natasha: I charged a thousand for them each. Okay. Because that was on top of what I already was charging them. Yeah. So I was a little unsure, but I went with a thousand and I felt good about it for just starting out.

Brandi: I love that because it's one of those things where you're elevating the lifetime value of clients You already have.

So sometimes giving them a little bit of discount is okay when you're getting started. I love that you didn't go below the thousand 'cause that is one thing I'm very adamant about is no one should be charging less than a thousand. And you did the thing we always say, it [00:07:00] only takes one client for two months, or one client, or two clients at a thousand dollars for one month.

And so did you sign on a long-term contract with them? How's the contract structured? So what happens after the first month?

Natasha: So right now we just did a month, and that was kind of me being like, let's test it out. Not even for them, but for myself as well. You know what? If it's something that I, I, I've changed my, you know, niche so many times.

What if this was something that I didn't, you know, end up wanting to do, but I wanted it them to be. I have no pressure. Great. So I said let's start with a month, and I am honoring three months of that discounted price. So if you wanna continue on for three months, I'll give you the rate of a thousand dollars.

After that, we're going up to 1500. So that was kind of how I prefaced it. So I'm hoping that they will stay on, but I really just wanted no pressure for myself and no pressure for them. So it's just a month. [00:08:00]

Brandi: I love that. I always tell people, worst case scenario, you get in, you get one client at a thousand dollars a month for two months and you make your investment back.

And then after that, if you like hate doing ads, you never have to do it again. But you made your investment back and that's exactly what you've done. You've got in within two weeks, made your investment back and now everything else is just icing on the cake.

Natasha: Mm-hmm.

Brandi: So you've been working with your clients and I love that you like did the risk reversal method and gave it your own spend, like with the.

We teach the 30 day contract. No pressure, but then you said lock 'em in for three months. I love that. And so now that you're actually in running ads, how does it feel? What's going on?

Natasha: I loved it. I really love the aspects of ads because I have the creative side from the branding and web design, but I also have the analytical side that I love.

I, in my career before the online space, I was an accountant, so I love the stats [00:09:00] and the strategy behind it all, and I think it's a really great combination of both. So I've had the best time just in the past couple weeks, like it's been so fun.

Brandi: Okay, I love this. So now that you know how to lay in clients, are you actively still doing your marketing minutes?

Natasha: No, I'm not.

Brandi: So that is where our next focus is because one of the things that we see is when new ad managers come in, they land their first few clients, they stop their marketing. Mm-hmm. And I'm like, no, you gotta get to the first three. Don't stop. Get to the first three. Yeah. So, awesome. Okay, so now that we have, we have two ad clients, you also have your other clients, what are your next goals for the next 45 to 60 days to 90 days?

Natasha: My goals are to really phase out my Pinterest management services. That niche and that service is very time heavy, and not only for myself and what I can make for the clients, but I am actually really [00:10:00] unhappy with what the clients are also seeing. So. I wanna do work that's providing an ROII. It's very exciting for me.

I love the online space and I love what people can do, but I don't wanna do a service that is lukewarm or mediocre results. So with the ad management, I feel like it's so much more tangible and. These clients can transition with me into ads. We can have, you know, new clients, but my goal for the next 90 days is to phase out that service and to just go all in on ads.

Brandi: I love that. So I don't know if you knew this, but I actually started, when I transitioned from social media to ads, I was doing mostly Pinterest.

Natasha: Oh really? And

Brandi: it was when Pinterest ads just kind of got released to everyone. So I had organic and paid ads and I was like so frustrated. With like not being able to see the actual results.

And that's one thing that drew me to [00:11:00] ads is like I could see the results right away. It's the same thing with organic social media, whether it's Pinterest, Instagram, whatever. There is this, like you don't know if what you're doing actually makes a difference with ads, you know Right away. Yeah. Does it work or does it not?

And that was something that really attracted me. So can I ask, how much does one of your Pinterest clients pay you?

Natasha: They pay anywhere from 7 75 to 9 97 a month.

Brandi: Okay, so the ones who are paying 9 97, how many hours a week do you think you spend working on their accounts?

Natasha: It's a lot. It's a lot to where it's, I couldn't even track it because I, I would be tracking my time not working.

That would be better tracking because it was just hours upon hours. And really for what I'm putting in, for what they're paying me, it just wasn't worth it.

Brandi: So I like this comparison because for a thousand dollars of Pinterest, now you're running ads for a thousand dollars. How many hours a week do you think you're working on clients' [00:12:00] accounts with ads?

Natasha: Oh my goodness. I was just telling my husband about this. I'm like, 'cause let's go to the beach tomorrow. Like I am checking in, letting it run. I'm not clicking too many buttons, as you say. I'm just letting it do its thing. And I probably have spent. Maybe 10 hours in the last month.

Brandi: Yeah.

Natasha: Working on the ads in the, in the month.

Yep.

Brandi: Yeah, so that's the big selling point of going from organic social or Pinterest to then ads. You make a whole lot more. You can charge way more and you work like. Uh, minutes compared to the hours you spend in doing organic. And it's such a different mindset, especially when you're coming from something where you have to be on all the time and you're not making great money to making amazing money and not being on all the time.

It kind of like makes you feel like I'm not doing enough. So have you had any of those thoughts come up yet? [00:13:00] Like, oh my gosh, what is this? Like, are you seeing how your business can morph into something else now?

Natasha: I am seeing it and I am in the process of trying to catch up with my Pinterest clients so that I can reap more of the benefits of the ads.

I wanna get my Pinterest stuff out of the way and then start doing, you know, my marketing minutes again and start building up that side because it's just really crazy, the difference in my time.

Brandi: And that's, I mean, to me, once you have your safety and security net of like, Hey, I got the amount of money that I need to survive and everything, then money doesn't become the priority anymore.

It becomes your time. Right? And, and so for me, I'm always looking how can I get the most bang outta my buck for the amount of time I wanna lurk? Work the least and make the most. That's like always my goal.

Natasha: Yeah.

Brandi: What can I do to work the least and make the most, and that's exactly the transition that can happen when you go from organic to paid.

So Natasha, what do you think has been the most helpful thing for [00:14:00] you in conversions for clients?

Natasha: I think the most helpful thing is the way that you present yourself online. I feel like I really trusted you and. Th I knew that you had, like, everything that I needed was there. Like I didn't, I didn't like overthink it.

I was just like, she knows what she's talking about. This course has everything that I need. There's a Facebook group I didn't even realize there was weekly calls as well, and I'm like, why? I can't fail. Like if I actually do it, this is everything I need. There's no excuse besides me not doing it. So it just felt really comfortable.

Joining with you. I think that was really the biggest thing.

Brandi: And so one, I just want everyone to know, it's not supposed to be weekly calls. We don't promise weekly calls. It just happens that like. I've just been doing weekly calls. We do, typically, I've looked at the rest of the year. It's at least two calls per month.

, In the summer we do go down to two, but [00:15:00] like I way over deliver. I looked at Janess and I was like, why am I doing weekly calls and conversions for clients? She was like, it's the schedule you gave me. And I was like, okay, we'll go with it, whatever. So, , but that is not part of the promise, just so everyone knows.

, But we do have a lot of calls and so. As you were like, it's gonna have everything now that you're actually in it. Mm-hmm. What do you think has been the most helpful?

Natasha: I really love the system that you're using.

I love that I can search and find things specifically with the call replays because there's always so many random questions in those calls, and it's things that I've come across already that. I just wanna hear like your opinion or I wanna hear somebody else's scenario and see like, does that, is that the same as what I'm dealing with?

So I really liked it and there is a lot of content. There's a lot,

Brandi: a lot

Natasha: to where I was like I, I think having experience in the online space, I underst. Stand [00:16:00] now that I don't need to go through all of this. Yep. It's just there for me when I'm ready, because I've done that before. I've done, you know, getting the website ready, getting everything ready before you even like, mention, you know, or launch a service.

And it never matters, like ever. So I knew that everything was there when I was ready, like it was there to support me. It, I just really loved the, the entire backend is really great.

Brandi: So, yeah, so she's talking about our hub, our platform where you can search for everything. And what we tell people is there is a lot of content.

I'm literally not only teaching you a very complex skill like meta ads, but I'm also teaching you how to set up a business, run a business, find clients. And so we say it's not an A to Z course, it's everything you will literally need to be successful in your business. But it should be treated like a library.

You don't need to go and read every single book. When you go into a library, you get what you need, you get out and you come back and you get the next thing. And that's why we do give lifetime access, because we [00:17:00] don't want you feeling like you gotta cram it all in in 12 weeks or whatever. Okay. So Natasha, if someone's sitting here listening to this and they're like, I'm on the fence, I don't know if I should join conversions for clients, what would you say to them?

Natasha: I would say do it. I have been so happy with just, it's barely been over a month and what I've accomplished already is, it's been insane. I actually didn't tell my husband that I signed up for the course until after I made my money back because I was so confident in it. I was like, I don't need to bother him with it because I'm gonna make my money back.

So if you have confidence in yourself, like Brandy is there. When you're ready, like just sign, just do it. Because I wish I would've done it over the summer. My entire LA like half latter, half of last year would've been so different.

Brandi: I love that. And the thing is, if you don't have confidence in yourself, I, you can borrow my confidence because I will have confidence in you to do the [00:18:00] ding thing.

So Natasha, thank you so much. Do you have any last thoughts for anyone listening or anything you wanna share about your next goals so we can cheer you on?

Natasha: I think that. I would, I wanna share that there's so many opportunities when it comes to ads. There are a lot of things that you see online with ads, but the different businesses and niches and ways that you can go after working with clients is really unlimited.

And that's something that was kind of opened my eyes inside of the program. I'm used to the online space. That was where I initially thought, but there's local businesses, there's e-commerce businesses, like there's just so many different ways that you can find a niche that you really would love to work in.

Like there's so many options for you.

Brandi: I love that. Thank you so much, Natasha. Thank you for sharing your story 'cause I know it's gonna inspire other people to get their business started. So thank you so, so much.

Natasha: Thank you for having [00:19:00] me.

Brandi: Student spotlights are literally my favorite type of episodes because we get to see people from all different backgrounds, different ways that they're landing clients, different experiences, and Natasha shows us that if you're offering another service. How easy it can be to transition into ads, especially when you're spending so many hours doing organic content, creating and posting and all this, and you're not even able to see exact results for your clients.

And how's the transition from Natasha going from Pinterest to now meta ads? Has not even been easier sell to her clients, but she's got so much of her time back. And so if you're listening to this and you already have a service you're offering, but you're overwhelmed, you're tired, you're exhausted, and you can't even actually see the results you're getting clients then adds may your next right move.

And if you're listening to this and you're just thinking about getting started. [00:20:00] I want you to see the possibilities. Natasha, within two weeks was able to make her investment back and fall in love with ads. And one of the things that I love that Natasha did is she just trusted the process and did the dang thing.

And when you do that, it's hard not to get results, as she said. So if you're sitting here and you're like, Brandy, this is exactly what I need. This is what I've been looking for.

I want you to go to brandimowles.com/100K and register for one of our upcoming workshops. It'll either be live or on demand, depending when you're listening to this. So we can show you what's possible for you and your situation and your business, but I'm so excited that you got to listen to Na Tasha's story and see how she has been able to get more time back with still running a service-based business.

So until next time, my friends go out, serve your clients, scale your business, and sort into the success you deserve.
