About the host: Jerrica Aiken is a multi-business owner who balances being a leader in women empowerment, mom of 5, PTA parent, sister, daughter & friend! She has had her own share of experiences from being a teen parent, single parent, survivor of sexual assault, a pastors wife and so much more. Miranda Burton is the Founder/President of a nonprofit organization called Marion`s House and has been for the 10 years. She is a Site Coordinator in the Greenville County, former Vice Chairman, and current Board Member of Greg Mathis Charter High School. She was a Parent Advocate in Charleston County, Previous Assistant Middle School step team coach, and a Ketogenic Health Coach. Miranda was born in Louisiana and stays true to her Cajun Culture. She has two God-Children that she keeps very close to her heart. Former Coker College (Now University) Graduate. She has a Psychology Degree and MBA in Organizational Management and Leadership. Miranda is a Certified Darkness to Light and Parenting Partners Facilitator. She has over 12 years of experience working with children and families, through the school system, community centers, nonprofits, and youth servicing organizations.


Miranda Burton is a two-time survivor of child sexual abuse, by both a male and a female. She states, “It is my duty to help in protecting kids from becoming preyed upon and also, making adults aware that it is their responsibility to protect a child.” Through Marion’s House, she gives an E.A.R. (Empowerment, Awareness, and Recovery) to those that have been or maybe impacted by the cycle of child sexual abuse. 


She has been featured in several online and paper publication such as, Top 20 under 40 for 2022  Class of SC Black Pages, April 2021 Pulse of CCSD for Charleston County Schools, video cast, print magazines, Charleston Post and Courier, as well as radio shows, and ABC News. July 2022 she was awarded a Global award from Trinity Vision Global for Women Empowering Women, Recent Charleston Social Entrepreneur Nominee. She has serviced over 1600 youth and trained more than 600 adults in prevention of CSA since 2012.
