Lantern Theatre
Lantern Theatre is a professional theatre company based out of Dana Point, California. All of our works are written in house and performed by professional actors.
The characters in our plays revolt against laws of physics, the objectivity of memory, historical facts, and even the constructed reality that the playwright has set forth for them.
Their struggle is that they must learn to deal with the consequences of their transfigured world: the reinvention of rules, physics, memories, histories, and technologies.

The Goat Walk (Part 2)
A poet, aspiring to obtain omnipresence, attempts to alter the laws of nature, only to find himself metamorphosing into a goat and being drawn into a loveless marriage.
FULL SYNOPSIS: Catullus, the poet, desires something unobtainable: Omnipresence, to be everywhere at once, to move faster than the laws of nature will permit so that he can establish an experimental form of freedom: sovereignty through motion. Using his words, the poet manages to alter the laws of nature and demolishes boundaries. With the boundaries of his form no longer containing him, the poet begins to metamorphose into a goat, and he starts developing an intense lust for his former lover, Melipryma, a territorial capitalist who wishes to convert her father’s arms company into a sovereign nation, and contain the man who she intends to serve by her side as CFO and King. Catullus must overcome his desires and overcome an inner conflict with a mentor from his youth, the machiavellian John Holder, if he wishes to fulfill his Omnipresent destiny.
