Hey guys, welcome back to the Adventure Paradox podcast. So today's adventure is about health. What are you putting into your body? Where is it coming from? Is it working for you? How does your body work? We are going to talk to someone who's gonna bring a little humor in, but is also a scientist. I am so excited to welcome Chris Burress to the show. I'll give you a formal introduction in just a moment. But first of all, Chris, how are you and where are you coming in from?
SPEAKER_01Kat, thank you so much for having me. It's another day in paradise, and I'm coming to you from Houston, Texas, where we were kind of talking before we got started that it's a little warmer here and about to get a whole lot warmer and a lot more humid, which I don't look forward to, but at least I can still go outside and exercise. I do enjoy that.
SPEAKER_00Love it, love it. And you're preaching the choir. We've got lots of outdoor adventures and enthusiasts in our audience today. For those who don't know, Chris is a published author. He is host of the Uncovering the Secrets to Longevity Health Summit, podcast host and patent holder with a surprising twist. I love this. He's not just a visionary scientist, but also a master of comedy improv. Oh, we are gonna have so much fun today. Chris Burress is the founder and chief scientist at My Vital C. Okay, I have a question already for you in your bio. Where he manufactures a Nobel Prize-winning molecule responsible for the single longest longevity experiment result in history, a full 90% extension of life. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Before I keep going with your bio, can you please explain what that means?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. A full 90% extension of life. Kind of crazy. I'm gonna try and jump around here. We'll start. There is a study that was published in mid-2012. It was supposed to be a toxicity study. And we can talk about that when we start talking about the molecule ESS 60. Instead of being a toxicity study, it ended up being the single longest longevity experimental result on mammals in history. In this case, it was Wistar Rats, lived 90% longer than the control group. Whoa. Yes. So you can imagine that changed my trajectory from being what I like to call a happy-go-lucky carbon nanomaterial scientist. I don't know if you've ever met one before. I'm one. Uh into into getting into the health and wellness business and the supplement industry, which my business partner and I never wanted to be in. Like we were actually for about four years almost desperately, but tried really hard not to get into the industry. But that's kind of more to share as this story unfolds.
SPEAKER_00Okay, this is fascinating. And it kind of points to another question about lab rats or testing on animals. And can we get the same result in humans? Because it sounds like that was a piece of what came up in this experiment.
SPEAKER_01There is a reason. So if you go again, remember this was supposed to be a toxicity study. If you kind of look at what the FDA requires in order to have anything on the market, it is toxicity studies on rats. And it can be whistar rats or other rats. There's a very particular reason for that because we're very similar genetically to rats. Now I'm going to blow your mind here in a second, because if you're like me, you would go, a mouse is a lot closer to a rat than either one of them is to us. But that's actually not true genetically. Rats are closer to us than they are to mice in terms of the amount of genes that we share, right? Like our little brain goes, oh, rat smaller version of rat called a mouse. No, genetically, we're closer to rats than we are to mice. That's why the FDA requires these kinds of studies to be done in rats. You can do them in mice, and there's some advantages there from an experimental perspective, but the reality is they need to be done in rats in order to kind of tick the boxes that the FDA has. And I've been looking for a long time. There is a number, right? There's a percentage of stuff that happens in rats that is not going to happen in humans or doesn't happen in rats and then does happen in humans. There's a number. Like we may never know the number, right? Because it's so complicated and whatever, but there is a number. And so I, for the first kind of five years in my new role as a chief scientist of a supplement company, I was trying to figure out what this looked like. And I finally one day, my business partner, who's actually on the other side of a wall from my office, and our, you know, I could hear him. He's having a conversation with a Dr. Paul Kudebek with Drexler, I think it's Drexler University. And I could hear them talking about tests. So this Dr. Paul Kudebek takes studies from rats into humans all the time. And so I like took the opportunity, I went over there, hey, Dr. Kudebek, what is the number? Like what happens in a rat? What percentage of those things will now happen in humans? And he goes, listen, it's a lot more than people kind of tend to think. And in fact, when scientists want to prove that what happens in a rat doesn't happen in humans, they use one particular study. And so he dove into that study. He said they were looking at a morning sickness medication. They gave it to these rats. There was no problem with the rats. They started giving it to some pregnant women who were having morning sickness. And it turned out, unfortunately, that the fetuses were slightly deformed. Now he's like, see, look what happens in a rat. But if they had looked at the fetuses of the rats, they would have realized, right? So this is the example people will share as hey, this proves what happens in a rat doesn't happen in a human. So basically it's a lot more than we think.
SPEAKER_00This is fascinating. You did blow my mind, my semi-rat mind now, I would say, right?
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yeah, my rat mind. It wasn't mine, right? Like once you have the data point, it becomes kind of less interesting. But when you're going into it, you're like, yeah, honestly, I have a hundred percent confidence that a rat is closer to a mouse than either is to a human. And then you like, you learn the data and you're like, okay, well, our intuition about genetics is not the best.
SPEAKER_00This is very interesting. I was actually interviewing the premier horse brain scientist yesterday. That's cool. It's very cool. Yeah, very cool. She has a new book coming out, but it was really interesting, the story about anthropomorphizing, which we do all the time, right? We have all these ideas, especially horse owners. Like we do this all the time. But to really hear from the expert how different our brains are, and then to talk to you today about how similar our brains are actually to a rat, right? It's like my mind is blown. Yeah. This is very interesting. Okay, let's keep going here with your bio for a moment. He is the intersection where science meets laughter, and his life's mission is to help people live longer, healthier, happier, pain-free lives with science. Love your mission, Chris. I love your mission. Sounds like you came into it, not kicking and screaming, but somewhat accidentally, and you've got some maybe not so warm feelings about the supplement interest tree. Like, I like where shall we begin?
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry. I try to hide that. I guess it came right on through. Yeah. Well, let's talk. What is this molecule, right? It's ESS 60. I'm holding up a model of the molecule. If you're listening, just imagine a soccer ball where the lines on the soccer ball represent the bonds between the carbon atoms. So you have a spherical molecule of 60 carbon atoms. We call this ESS60. Elemental safe spheres. They're spheres, they're safe. 60 carbon atoms. Discovered in 1985 here at Rice University in Houston, where we're based. The three scientists who discovered it won the Nobel Prize in 1996 for that discovery. So it's a molecules can't win Nobel Prizes, but it's a Nobel Prize-winning molecule, right? Like the scientists who discovered it. Our lab started manufacturing this in 1991, a full five years before they were awarded the Nobel Prize. This study comes out. They thought it would be toxic. They put it in this toxicity study. Instead of being toxic, the Wistar rats live 90% longer. And now we start getting these phone calls from this crazy wacky group of people called biohackers. And I can say that affectionately now, because I am a biohacker, right? And they were saying, hey, how much of this stuff should we be taking? And in our mind, my business partner Robert and I were like, actually, this stuff we sell to research institutions around the world to put into inks, batteries, tires, and photo cells. None of that screams health product. So we thought you should probably take zero. We actually added not for human consumption to our labeling in mid-2013. So think about that. From 1991, when we start manufacturing, all the way to mid-2013, when people start, these crazy wacky group of people called biohackers start calling us, we don't have to have not for human consumption on our labeling. We add that in mid-2013. And that actually turned into a weird kind of conversation because somebody would call and they're like, hey, Chris, I got to share with you my knee pain is gone. And I would be like, Joe, you mean the knee pain of your rat, right? Because it literally says not for human consumption on the labeling. And then Joe would go, hey, yeah, hey, if my rat weighs 275 pounds and does HIT training on Wednesdays and Fridays, should I take, I mean, should my rat take extra on Wednesdays and Fridays, right? So we knew what was going on. And let's be clear, we added not for human consumption to the labeling, but in the literature, it was clear it was safe. So that's why we kind of allowed this to continue. In this time frame, we've got every quarter, my business partner Robert and I are getting together. Do we want to get into the supplement market? And right, like I've shared my disdain for the supplement market. Every quarter, we're like, no, we don't want to get into it. And in fact, in this kind of time frame, we didn't change our opinion until the latter part of 2017. In this time frame, I found a peer-reviewed published research paper that showed that the 50% of the supplements this research group had purchased off the market didn't have in them what they said they had in them. So this is the industry I don't want to get into, nor does my business partner, Robert. And think about this. We're happy, go lucky carbon nanomaterial scientists. We're selling this material to the most stringent market possible. Like we're selling to research institutions around the world. When they get our lovely black crystalline powder, they can give it to a grad student or a research associate who has the equipment, has the know-how, and they can test it. The opposite of the supplement industry. And then finally, at the latter part of 2017, a guy with a big YouTube following, that's how everything changes these days, right? He starts talking about all the benefits he's getting, taking it on a daily basis. And our phone went from two to three phone calls from Joe in his knee pain, two to three phone calls per week, to 10 phone calls a day. And at that quarterly meeting, my business partner Robert and I were like, okay, well, I mean, maybe we could have been smarter. This is clearly a bigger opportunity than we realized. And we also looked back at that paper where 50% of the supplements on the market don't have in them what they say they have in them. We know that's going to happen in this space. We're the oldest and longest manufacturer of this molecule on the planet. We're in the best position to bring the highest quality product to market. And so we decided to do that. And then we asked ourselves two questions. The first is a moral question: Are we comfortable selling this? I take it, my wife takes it, everybody on our team here takes it. By the way, it's not a requirement to work here. You don't clock in and take your shot of my vital C. So, yeah, so we're comfortable selling it. And then there's the legal, right? You got to cross the T's with the FDA and the FTC. You got to cross the T's, you got to dot the I's. And so it was the beginning of 2018 that we really started bringing this product to market.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's back up a little bit to that piece of paper with the 50% thing because this is a conversation I'm familiar with. I'm a registered dietitian, you know, it says natural, it says healthy, it says look at the ingredients. What I don't know very much about is what kind of hoops do you jump through to get approved by the FDA? And where do those two things meet? How is it still possible that 50% are saying they have something in them that they don't?
SPEAKER_01Are you ready? So we already blew your mind, right? Rats and mice. And now you're asking a question about the FDA and their stance on supplements. I'm gonna blow your mind. The FDA does not require you to prove that a supplement is safe before you bring it to the market.

SPEAKER_01By the way, when I read this on the website, I took a screenshot. I was like, this is clearly a mistake. That is gonna come down, right? And this is as I'm transitioning from chief scientist of a carbon nanomaterial manufacturing business, which I still am, to the chief scientist of a health and wellness company. And it took me a while to process it, but here's the reality. So let's say Cat comes up with a supplement and it's 10% vitamin D, 90% vitamin E, and I come out with the reverse, right? 10% vitamin E, 90% vitamin D. These are different supplements, right? So there's basically an infinite number of supplements, and there is no way for the FDA, at least as it's organized and funded today, to do that. Our requirement, and this is the requirement of every supplement company, is to report adverse, serious adverse effects to the FDA. That is our literal. Now we have uh GMP certification that stands for good manufacturing practice, but there is no one really oversight saying, do we have in our product what we say we have in our product? That is the supplement landscape. And you can imagine, I don't know if you've ever become aware of an unethical person on the planet. There are some in the supplement. I would say that I'm very altruistic. I think most people, and I would go in the 90 to 95%, would be my guess, and that's how optimistic I am, are doing the right thing, right? They're at least trying to put out the quality product that's on their label. But there is room for that to not be true. So, one, we've never had to report a serious adverse side effect, and that's our responsibility. By the way, you may think, oh, there'd be an incentive to not do it. Well, one, it's against the law, so that's an incentive to do it. And two, just because you have somebody who has an adverse side effect doesn't mean the FDA shuts you down, right? Like they just want the data so that they can assess, hey, at the end of the year, you sold, I don't know, this product to 20,000 people, and 2,000 of them are reporting problems. Now we need to visit it, or in our case, zero are reporting problems. So that's the kind of the stance of the FDA.
SPEAKER_00This is so fascinating. And again, I'd kind of heard a little bit about this, but to actually hear it from you with all of the specifics, my mind is blown. Thank you for blowing my mind twice.
SPEAKER_01I took a screenshot. I was like, there's no way this could be true. I'm like, I'm gonna take a screenshot. So at some other point, but yeah, that is the stance, and it's not what anybody thinks is happening.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean we live in such a strange world, right? And we're trying to keep people safe, and we have these ideas that the government will do it at FDA. And then you know what it's making me think about? It's making me think about weight loss supplements. And specifically when I was a teenager, they were kind of starting to get rolled out. And I remember somehow getting this pill, and my heart was racing. It was scary. Very shortly thereafter, it was pulled. And I know you're not in the weight loss industry space, but that was sort of my first clue that whoa, just because you can buy it legally doesn't mean it's safe or a good idea, you know?
SPEAKER_01Now, and there is, it's so interesting. FDA doesn't have requirements, but the FTC is the organization that comes in when you start making illegitimate claims. And the FTC's stance is they will find you almost out of existence if you're lying to the public. So even those companies where 50% of them didn't have in them what they said they had in them, the FTC, if it gets wind of that, will actually almost shut them down. So there are protections. The goal is that what you read on the label is in fact what's in it. I can tell you in our space, we tested 22 products in the space, only one, and ours, of course, had the concentrations that they claimed on the label. And I can tell you there's two in our space that don't have any of the molecule in it at all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. This is so fascinating. Okay, I need to hear more about this molecule and specifically about your product, My Vital C. You talked about taking a shot of it. I can kind of see in the picture behind you. I don't know if that's like a little shot bottle or if it's literally a shot that goes in your arm. Okay, tell us more about the product.
SPEAKER_01It's always good when I'm on a show. I'll show you. I'm pouring into a medicine cup five mils. Is there any where's my shot?
SPEAKER_00I can't take a shot with you. You didn't send me a shot. Come on.
SPEAKER_01And I have an empty bottle. I will send you a shot. I have two. I would love that. Okay. Well, I'm not taking. Let's pretend. Empty bottle. Oh no. Yeah, that's crazy. I usually have some here. Anyway, yeah. What it is, what we sell the most, is this bottle, but it does have oil in it. I'll share that. It has a high quality extra virgin olive oil with as much of the ESS 60 molecule as we can get to dissolve in it. Olive oil is already amazing. So, in that original study where the rats lived 90% longer than the control group, there are actually three groups. The control group was given water, a semi-control group was given olive oil, and then, of course, the group that lived 90% longer was given olive oil with the ESS 60 molecule. The group given olive oil lived 18% longer. So, Brian Johnson, Dr. Stephen Gundry, they're out there promoting olive oil. They are 100% accurate. A high-quality extravergent olive oil is absolutely good for you. Whatever you're taking, you should probably take more. In fact, I love what Dr. Gundry says. He says the purpose of food is to get more olive oil into your mouth. That's its purpose. Love it. Because that's how valuable olive oil is.
SPEAKER_00Well, and you're making me think about the blue zones, which we're getting a little bit off a tangent here and we'll go there. But tell us more about this product. So it's in olive oil. You take it daily.
SPEAKER_01Like what's it's one teaspoon. Our recommended serving is one teaspoon in the morning. Our most consistent testimonials, people take it in the morning. They report mental focus and energy during the day, and then better sleep that night. Now, I'm going to point out a couple things going on here. First, just better sleep is good for your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Like if that's all we did was improve sleep, then it's actually a home run. We're already at a home run. The other thing to point out is what can you take? Are you aware of anything that you can take in the morning and positively impact sleep at night? You can certainly get exercise in the morning. That'll help you sleep that night. You can get some exposure to the sun, get your circadian rhythm in line with the rising and falling of the sun. That'll help you sleep at night. But to take something in the morning and impact sleep, that speaks to what we think this is profoundly doing at the level of the mitochondria. Can I get geeky and then I have a fun analogy at the end of the geekiness? Please. Let's go. Did I paint the right picture? All right. I love it. Here's this is called the BOSS theory, buffering oxidative stress system. So what gives credence to this theory is we know from peer-reviewed published research that this ESS60 molecule gets into the mitochondria. We also know from way back in the 90s when it was discovered it can hold up to six negatively charged particles on the exterior of this cage. So this is what that looks like. Quick refresher: the mitochondria is the powerhouse of every cell. There's between 50 and 5,000 mitochondria in every cell in your body, except for blood cells, which have zero, and brain and neurons, which have two million. It is amazing how much energy our nervous system uses relative to our other systems. And it is the power source of every cell. It provides power in the form of ATP. And like every power source, there is a negative byproduct. You think about your car going down the road, there's exhaust. You think about a power plant, there's a smokestack with smoke coming out. In the case of mitochondria, it's reactive oxygen species. Now, I like to picture these, and I do have a fun analogy, so don't worry, at the end of this, I like to picture these like little bumper cars. I guess that's pretty good analogy, like little bumper cars, right? If they're left to their own devices, they'll run around your body and everything they smack into, they cause rust, they cause oxidative stress, oxidative damage, ultimately inflammation. And this sounds horrible, and it is, and like so many biological systems in our body, there's a way to manage those reactive oxygen species, and that is with the internal to the mitochondria, antioxidants, glutathione and melatonin. Glutathione, you may have heard of, is one of the master antioxidants. Melatonin, I like to point out, is the sleep hormone. And our most consistent testimonial involves sleep. So there's some nice parallels here. So a healthy mitochondria, you've got the production of reactive oxygen species, and you've got the glutathione and melatonin to manage them so they don't run around like bumper cars. But what happens if you stress a mitochondria? First off, how do you stress a mitochondria? I like to point out if you're alive in modern society, you have stressed mitochondria. I mean, it can be as simple as the EMF radiation coming off of your cell phone, smoking, drinking, smog, stressful driving, stressful. Anyway, modern society, you have stressed mitochondria. And when you do, they start producing more reactive oxygen species than can be managed by the glutathione and melatonin. And that's when, if they're left to their own devices, they run around the body and cause that rust, that oxidative stress, oxidative damage. And that's where the ESS60 molecule comes in. Remember, from peer-reviewed published research, it's in the mitochondria. From way back in the 90s, it can hold up to six of these negatively charged reactive oxygen species. So they can't run around and do a bunch of damage. And then when that particular mitochondria can replenish the glutathione and replenish the melatonin, then it can manage those reactive oxygen species properly. And that's why we say that this ESS60 molecule is the boss, a buffering oxidative stress system. And I'm going to summarize it this way saying we believe we reduce the negative impact of stressed mitochondria. And if you reduce the negative impact of stressed mitochondria, given that you have 50 to 50. thousand in every cell in your body, two million in your brain cells, you should have systemic benefits. You should have exactly what we have, which are head-to-toe testimonials. Are you ready for the fun analogy?
SPEAKER_00Bring it.
SPEAKER_01All right. So I don't know about you. I feel like all biological analogies should start with Mardi Gras. A lot of biology happens at Mardi Gras, so why not? So it's the end of Mardi Gras. And you have these drunk reactive auction species on Bourbon Street, right? Running around causing oxidative stress, smashing windows, spray painting cars. And you have the New Orleans Police Department, the glutathione and the melatonin coming onto Bourbon Street, handcuffing themselves to those reactive oxyes and getting them off of Bourbon Street. But what does the New Orleans police department do when they're overwhelmed? They take those reactive auction species and they stick them in a paddy wagon. They attach them to the exterior of the ESS 60 molecule so they can't run around like little bumper cars and do damage. And then when the New Orleans Police Department can replenish the glutathione, can replenish the melatonin, they then handcuff themselves to those reactive auction species and get them off of Bourbon Street. That is the end of the humor portion of this episode.
SPEAKER_00Mic drop oh my gosh I love that I love that I'm right there on Mardi Gras. I am seeing the glutathione and the melatonin coming in that was such a beautiful beautiful metaphor. Thank you so much for that I'm I'm really loving it. Let's hear a little bit more about the business itself like are you still selling to research facilities? How are you marketing your product? Do you have affiliates like how are you getting it into people's hands? Because this is an amazing product.
SPEAKER_01Great question. I am still the chief scientist of a carbon nanomaterial manufacturing business. Yes, we still manufacture it and sell it to research institutions around the world. Part of the reason just to share the three scientists who discovered it won the Nobel Prize is because the molecule is amazing. It performs as well or better than the current best materials in almost every application. So it makes better inks, better batteries, better tires, better photo cells, as I mentioned so that is still going on its current kind of big outside of the health and wellness space is in organic solar cells. So it makes solar you can make solar cells with it kind of solar cells that you could roll up, right? You're used to solar cells on houses that you can't roll up. This can actually make them that you can roll up. So there's a lot of pun intended flexibility there. So that's one piece that's still going we still sell to research institutions around the world nobody has heard of this molecule. When you were probably doing research before you're like I've never heard of this. I'm kind of in the space and I still haven't ever heard of this. And that is my job, right? That's why thank you very much for having me on your show so that I can share this with more and more people. So we have a challenge. If you just think about our most consistent testimonial if I just came on in a 20 second commercial and was like hey I have this oil and if you take it in the morning it improves your focus and energy during the day and then you're going to get better sleep that night most people were like I've heard of that oil. It's called snake oil, right? It takes time to explain it. We're not used to molecules or whatever supplements having such systemic benefits. We're just not used to that. We're like uh vitamin C helps with the cold or you know something here or something there. And so it does take the explanation. So it is long term. We're working on the right marketing strategies so that we can have a 30 or 60 or even 90 second commercial. We're not there yet. There's a lot that needs to go into that. We also have to be careful because we are a nutritional supplement and so what can we say? The FDA has strict guidelines on what we can say which is why we're doing four clinical trials. We're starting four clinical trials before the end of the year. One of them is already started it's on headaches so it's called frequent and painful headaches because we can't say migraine so we can say frequent and I don't understand why, but that's how that works. I was advised that's already started and that's partly because of my own story, partly because of my wife's story partly because I think I mentioned to you I was on one podcast two hours like twice and it was the same person. The second time I went on her show the first 30 minutes was her thanking me because she had a product for her husband who was suffering from severe headaches. So if I come on your show and I say we address inflammation, what the FDA hears is me claiming I cure cancer, I cure cardiovascular disease, which we are definitely not doing. There is so much research that needs to go into that and frankly very expensive research the FDA will allow us to say that we address inflammation at least as it relates to exercise induced inflammation. So that is something that we can say so we're doing this study on HSCRP, which is an inflammatory marker usually associated with cardiovascular diseases, also associated with cancer. So we're doing that we're doing one on sleep we already did an informal small cohort study on sleep because it's our most consistent testimonial 100% of the participants reported improvements in sleep when they were on the product. So we want a more clinical trial quality data on that. And then finally we do have a cosmetic product it's called skin reduo which is pretty amazing but the testimonials are so amazing that we're doing a wrinkle and age spot study on this cosmetic. One thing I'm thinking about and this was a question I had but you sort of answered it is how long do the clinical studies last? You know so you sort of you let us know three months is what you'd suggest for your own personal clinical study audience I know we're listening. But the other thing I was thinking about as you were talking is what about that seven year study? Because isn't it every seven years that every cell in our body is regenerated and we're basically like a brand new human. And I'm curious about really long studies, if you will and any folks who have been done doing this or taking this since the 90s even or like that guy who was like hey hypothetically my rat at 275 pounds right do you have any longer ones and what are your thoughts about how this could truly change people's lives for the long haul yeah I think well first other companies beat us to the punch in this sense remember we're conservative carbon nanomaterial scientists we didn't really want to get into the supplement space.
SPEAKER_01So there are companies that have been selling this on the market probably since 2014. So there have been people who've been taking it since 2014. So if you want some long-term studies it's very informal but there are people who have been taking it for long times. And then I've certainly been taking it since the beginning of 2018. And so long-term studies is something that we do want to get into at some point. One of the things I am not claiming is that this is going to extend your life by 90% because the reality is you have these are rats and they're a particular type of rat. And they're actually so I'll share this typical WISTA rat lives about 32 months and has a known amount of tumor mass in its body. The longer it lives the more tumor mass it has in its body. Even though the ESS60 rats lived out to 62 months 90% longer none of them had any tumors. Now I've shared this story and people were like oh cure for cancer and I'm like no and then I add another no not a cure for cancer. There's a big difference between dealing with a cancer that has metastasized and potentially being a cancer preventative. So this suggests that it could be a cancer preventative. And we know things as simple as good nutrition, good exercise, good sleep are cancer preventatives. That just throws this into that arena and it is probably because it undid the genetic mutation of these wist our rats that causes those tumors and it's 100% you're a Wistar rat, you're getting a tumor.
SPEAKER_00Ours didn't get tumors that's probably why they lived longer this is so fascinating and I do not envy you the things that you have to navigate not to say you're curing cancer and all the different things. Yes I do okay closing question because you kind of came in the backdoor this experience and I was at a very interesting event last night called Silicon Couloir here in the Jackson Hole area which is a lot of investors meeting with people pitching and this particular event had four founders talking about their experience. So anyways just very interesting but the question that I asked that I'm gonna ask you to is about what we call the quadruple bottom line. So you may be familiar with the bottom line does it pencil well doesn't make funny second bottom line people refer to as the green line is it good for the environment the third one is it good for the community like in your region are you taking away jobs or is it ethical basically and then the fourth one is this idea is it spiritual on some level like all those three things aside is it good for humanity as a whole so I'd love to hear your thoughts on that with your company and your vision.
SPEAKER_01Yeah well I think if you go is it good for humanity on a whole if we take away the extension of life of these rats like what drove that extension of life was really valuable but it's unreasonable to think that you're gonna have this extension of life and no other health benefits, right? Like if we just kind of break that down. And then you get into the boss theory you get into mitochondria and the impact that mitochondria have on every cell in your body right between 50 and 5000 cells in your body two million in your brain and neurons. If you take all of like a lot of that is going to give this value this health and wellness value. Now when you get into spiritual it's kind of interesting because if you look at this molecule right there's like sacred geometries are certainly something that comes into people's minds when they think about spirituality. This is a pretty sacred geometry there's actually a book called The Most Beautiful Molecule. And I didn't know that people wrote books about molecules like chemistry, yes, physics, yes, an entire book on a molecule there is one about this molecule. And so I think a lot of people gland kind of being connection with God, the gland that's in our body. Well it's actually rich in mitochondria right just like every brain cell. And so yeah I think that there is some value here and really if you're allowing your body to do what it does best by providing this buffer to your mitochondria then everything's gonna be better. I'll share this right so this is a great testimonial I got some product to a lady in the UK she sent in her video and as I was first watching the video she's like I'm in the middle of quitting smoking.
