Blown for Good: Scientology Exposed
Marc Headley worked at Scientology’s secret desert compound, which houses all Scientology management, for 15 years. The 500-acre property is located deep in the California desert. The local townspeople were told lectures and films were made there. But is that all that was happening? It is the location of a multi-million dollar home for L. Ron Hubbard, built two decades after his death. It is the home of Scientology’s current leader, David Miscavige. So what really happens at the Int Base? Are the stories on the internet true? How does Scientology conduct management of its day-to-day operations? Could stories of armed guards, weapons, staff beatings, and razor wire fences be true? If so, how could a facility like this exist in modern-day America? Hundreds of staff tried to escape over the years. Some succeeded but were never seen or heard of again, and most failed. Why were people kept here? What really went on at the headquarters of Scientology? This is the story of what happened behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology.

Hello everybody, welcome back to the channel, welcome to another episode of Scientology Stories. Let's bring in my lovely wife Claire here. Hey everybody, let's bring in my lovely wife Claire here.
Speaker 2:Hey everybody.
Speaker 1:We have not done a live video in a while, guys, so this is a very fun day for us here that we get to do this again. As we normally do when we first fire up, we like to say hi to everybody in the chat for a few seconds here, while people get a chance to get their notifications and show up. Um, if you, um, if you want to let us know where you're uh, watching from, you can go ahead. Put that down and bloop, bloop that in the comments and, um, we'll go through a few of those real quick before we get going and, uh, let's just say once we've got what do you want to say bad? Once we've got 100 people, 200 people?
Speaker 1:Sure yeah, there's a good amount of people in here. We'll pair it up. We got Catherine here.
Speaker 2:Thanks for joining us, catherine. And while we do that, also shout out to Apostate Alex and everyone who has been protesting at the I IS event at St Hill. I've been watching a bunch of that, including the SP chef, apostate Alex. Anyway, great work over there, much, much appreciated. Oh, maria is here from Portugal, hooray.
Speaker 1:I'm just putting up all the all the different ones here. You can read them or not, it doesn't matter. There's a lot of people here. Claire's still got her phone turned on.
Speaker 2:I can hear it in the background just another day in Colorado, I put it on mute. I had everything else on mute.
Speaker 1:Catherine's even telling us where she's from.
Speaker 2:Yep, I can never pronounce that properly, so I'm not even going to try Oregon Yay.
Speaker 1:I think it's Willamette.
Speaker 2:Okay, canada, nice, kansas City, missouri, nice, yep.
Speaker 1:You got one from Oklahoma there.
Speaker 2:Nice Thanks for joining us, Jolene.
Speaker 1:Cooking with da grandma.
Speaker 2:All right From Chile. New Hampshire, nice. Yeah, it's got a little cooler here in Colorado, but it's still a beautiful day in the 70s, so we're lucky.
Speaker 1:Yeah, totally Okay, perfect. We've got about 100 people in here, so I'd say we'll get going.
Speaker 2:Yep sounds good.
Speaker 1:We have a ton of new, exciting stuff for you guys today. We have some of you may or may not know this, but we have a small shop called the sp shop and the sp shop sells mike rinder bobble heads and sp bracelets and uh, fake navy davy dolls, all kinds of little things. These are actually our, our best-selling item ever the Dammit Davey or the Fake Navy or the Captain Whack from TGAC, whatever you want to call them. We sell hundreds and hundreds of these on the SP Shop and all of the proceeds from what we sell on the SP Shop, the proceeds from that, go to the Aftermath Foundation. And if you guys are not aware of what the Aftermath Foundation is, it's a foundation that we have that helps people that are trying to get out of Scientology or they're trying to start over after a life in Scientology. And most of the people that we help are C organization members and these people often in some cases, haven't had a proper education, they don't have a driver's license, they never had a bank account, and the Aftermath Foundation sort of helps them get those things in place to start a new life outside of the C organization, the C organization, or if they, or if they just were a Scientologist even, and their whole families and Scientologist and their work, where they work for a Scientology company. And even some of those people are trying to start over in a new life without being connected with Scientology because they've spoken out against it or because they've gotten kicked out of Scientology for disagreeing or whatever.
Speaker 1:Anyway, for years we've been selling we've just been selling SP bracelets and then a few years ago we made these Mike Rinder bobbleheads right here and we started selling those and we got a lot of requests from people and they wanted a Leah bobblehead and we I thought that's, that's great. And the company that I made the Mike bobblehead with said just send us a picture and we'll make one. And that's how I did it for Mike. I sent them a picture of Mike when they were shooting the um, when Mike and Leah were shooting the aftermath TV show Leah Remini, uh, scientology in the aftermath, they did some shots. Mike and Leah did a photo shoot and they used some of those photos for the, for the posters and things like that, and so we thought it would be appropriate if we use those photos to create the bobblehead of Mike with and then when we did the Leah bobblehead, we'd use one of those same photos.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and let's not forget, by the way, the idea for the bobblehead came from Scientology's hate videos that they were putting out to try and attack Leah and Mike because of the aftermath show, and they made a bobblehead of Mike in one of those hate videos. That was absolutely awful.
Speaker 1:That's right. They made a bobblehead that had, like this weird sweater on and I think the purpose of their, their joke or whatever their their bit, was that Mike just says yes to whatever Leah says. And so they had this little thing and they had a video. Someone sent that to me and as soon as I saw it I was like, well, that doesn't even look like Mike, but, and he would never wear a sweater like that, but whatever. And then I thought you know what? We should totally make that bobblehead and then we should sell it and then the proceeds would go to the aftermath foundation. And the reason that we did it that way is because it was Scientology's idea and it backfired. And now that has something. There we're now. They're now pushing something that is now helping us. Yep, and we've sold I want to say we've sold several thousand of these Mike Ritter bobbleheads and we kept getting these requests for the Leah ones. We kept getting, and so I sent the picture off to the company that made the Mike one. Now, when we made the Mike bobblehead, I sent them a picture. They sent me a sample. I showed it to Mike. He says it looks great and I said, okay, great, make me 2,000 of those or whatever it was.
Speaker 1:Okay, it did not go that way. First of all, I couldn't get them to send me a sample for the longest, longest time. Them to send me a sample for the longest, longest time. And when they finally did send me a sample here, let me make sure I get my. Here we go. This is what we got.
Speaker 1:Okay, so this was the Mike bobblehead that I had made. It's easier just to show you a picture, because if I hold it up you won't be able to see it. Okay, we thought at first the company somehow I did not ask them for this, but somehow we had sent them a picture with Mike and Leah. So they sent us a bobblehead with Mike and Leah, two bobbleheads on one pedestal, and the Mike bobblehead looks pretty much identical to the other bobblehead we had produced and I'm probably, I'm sure they probably use the same mold or the same casting or whatever and just added Leah to it. Not only does that not look like Leah at all in the picture. They sent me two samples. I don't know if you can see it in this sample, but right below her, her pant cuffs, is her feet, and one of them is cracked. So she basically broke one of her legs on the way over here and then the other sample. They sent me two samples. They both had a broken leg, so I said yes.
Speaker 2:Jessa in the chat said Leah looks like Jennifer Gardner.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know what that might have actually been. What Leah said. I'm not going to quote her or pretend to remember exactly, because we had a bunch of names we were throwing around, but she did look. She looked a lot like a lot of other people than she did like Leah. So I told them, first of all, they can't be on the same thing because there's some sort of leverage problem in the shipping and somehow they're getting wedged apart and Leah's breaking her legs off and she's leaning towards the outside edge, okay. So they said, okay, fine, and I said, listen, you guys, she has makeup on. There's makeup in the picture that she has. And they said, okay, okay, we'll make it, we'll match the makeup, okay, and this each in between each one of these things we're talking about months and months and months between each one of these things that you're seeing I'm going to, I'm not going to. I don't exactly know when, but let's say, six months later, this one shows up, okay.
Speaker 2:Oh God, I don't exactly know when, but let's say six months later, this one shows up, okay.
Speaker 1:So now that it it, it, it's not doesn't have another Mike bobblehead on the bobblehead with her on the pedestal and the legs were not broken, but that still doesn't look like Leah. And there was no way that I could send this to Leah and say, hey, what do you think what this looks like? This looks great, right. So say, hey, what do you think this looks great, right? So yeah, that didn't happen, okay. So we had a little hiatus for a while after that, because I'm the one who pays for all this stuff no one's paying me to do this and then we're then producing it and then donating the funds. I'm the one who's financing this whole dumb toy production. I'm the one who buys them and then we sell them, and then the aftermath gets what? All the profits, all the proceeds go to the aftermath, and then we get paid back and then everybody's good again.
Speaker 2:Yep and historically the SP Shop is the single largest corporate sponsor of the Aftermath Foundation, so it has provided amazing support and funding for the work that the foundation does the foundation does.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and for a long, for a long time. That was. A majority of our budget would come out of the donations that the SP shop had financed, or, you know, donated so, but I, I don't have an endless amounts of money to just keep making bad samples of Leah bobbleheads till the end of time.
Speaker 2:So Right and this started. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we started on this in 2017.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this has been going on for years, folks. This is not a new. This is not like a new development.
Speaker 2:Nope.
Speaker 1:Anyway.
Speaker 1:So there's a fellow by the name of Mike Rowe who I'm a big fan of, and Mike Rowe, he used to have a show called Dirty Jobs, and Mike Rowe would travel to these different locations where people did certain jobs and he profiled the company and then the job that they had. That was really filthy, dirty that somebody has to do, and sometimes people make a lot of money doing this thing. Sometimes it's a very vital element in the community, whatever. He went to a company, a bobblehead company, and I said, hey, didn't Mike Rowe go to some place called bobbleheadscom or Royal Bobble or whatever it was? And so we got ahold of those folks and we said, hey, and so we got a hold of those folks and we said, hey, we'd like you to make a bobblehead for us. And they were like, absolutely okay. Well, now this is like a legit bobblehead.
Speaker 1:The place I was getting was, you know, somebody I found on alibaba and we you know, this is a legitimate bobblehead company, and if you're going to make a bobblehead of a celebrity, then there's paperwork involved, and so I had to get this paperwork from them and I had to get it over to Leah and she had to sign it. Well, I don't know if you guys know how Hollywood and entertainment industry works, but if you have a celebrity and there's paperwork to sign, fine, there's other people that start getting involved managers, agents and lawyers and other folks got to look over the papers and so that added I'm going to say that added months and months of back and forth between getting the photos and getting the papers and getting them signed and then answering questions and then revising document, and this just went on forever. By the time we got all the paperwork, it was past the time that we needed the bobbleheads to be able to release them and do a whole thing, and so it kind of just went on the back burner, but we still needed to get them done. Okay, the this place I'm going to call it bobbleheadscom or Royal Bobble they go by a few different names but they scanned, they got pictures and they did scans and they did the bobblehead model and there was a whole.
Speaker 1:There's a I have a video thing of it, but I don't know how to show it easily here and make it make sense, but it was pretty impressive and they managed to capture Leah's likeness in the 3D model and then they painted the 3D model and then we basically got a go ahead from Leah Okay, that looks great, let's do it. And then it became making an actual product and matching those things. And then that took a few months and I am pleased to announce that after all this time we now have a Leah bobblehead and you can see it.
Speaker 1:I have to show it there. You can see it right here. We have these and some of you eagle-eyed viewers this has been sitting on Claire's shelf behind her desk for probably a month or two and Claire's been doing videos pre-recorded videos and we've been releasing those every week and the bobblehead has been in those pictures. We had it as a little Easter egg for a little while while we've been working on this, but I will say that there's so much hair that she's got an extra little bobble that she'll bobble a little longer just because there's so much weight around the outside of the head that it it'll, it tends to shake a little bit more than the, than the, the clean, the clean cut mic one right here. And so we didn't do, we didn't do a bobble. That was both of them together, okay, but one of the things that we did get we've been people have been requesting these for years and years and years, and so what we did do I'll put this this can I put this back up? I guess I can. There we go, okay, so, so we've got a Leah bobble. We have also a special edition Leah bobble that you can get that has the Leah bobblehead and a signed headshot from Leah and that is the picture, one of the pictures that was used to model the bobblehead. There's another picture that Leah wanted to use for the face and the face is matched to the picture that she gave us and the body is matched to this picture that you see here and so on the SP shop.
Speaker 1:If you go to the SP shop right now there is there's the version with just the bobblehead. You can get that and that's all you get. There's another version where you get the Leah bobble and you get a signed picture of Leah, and this is people have requested this over and over because there was not really a way that was easy for Mike or Leah to sign the bobblehead and people wanted something signed for Mike and Leah. So we figured, if we just got a really nice headshot, these are really really nice photos too. It has like a sort of like a felt finish, a very soft touch, touch Matt felt type of finish, and um, and it comes all wrapped in plastic and in envelopes and it's all protected it. So it'll make it through it through the shipping adventure.
Speaker 1:Okay, then we also have the same old Mike bobblehead that we always have, but we also have a version now of the Mike bobblehead that you can also get with a signed photo if you want to get that of Mike, and then on top of that you can get a package that has both the Leah bobblehead and the Mike bobblehead and it's a signed headshot from both of them. So Mike and Leah have signed the picture and they're both in the picture you can see here. This is. I think this was one of the kind of the scenes not exactly the same photo, but one of the scenes that they used for like posters and billboards and stuff like that. So um, so that's cool, and then um, and, as usual, uh, you can also go to the sp um shop and you can get, um, you know, davy dalton, davy dolls, or sp and and we have aftermath merch on there and other things.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I support the aftermath foundation stuff like that. Um, the reason we did it this way people there's a lot of people that already had a Mike bobblehead. They don't need a Mike bobblehead. There's a lot of people who they want to leave a bobblehead, but they'd also like a signed photo or they'd like both of them. They'd like the whole set. So we try to do this in every different way that would match up with the people that had already got stuff or wanted different stuff or whatever. So, and we're also trying to do it before the holidays. So if somebody wants to give an audition, give one of these things as a gift. I don't know why somebody said is this.
Speaker 1:Mark's audition for QVC. I just saw the word audition and it just programmed. Thank you, Love Food Kitchen. No, you know, to tell you the truth, I was trying to get out of the business of making stuff that we would fulfill once we got involved with the merch company that does all the BFG merch and the only things that we would fulfill once we got involved with the merch company that does all the BFG merch and the only things that we fulfill for the BFG store are the books and everything else is just fulfilled by the fulfillment company that makes all the shirts and the hats and the mouse pads and all that good stuff. And so I thought we should do this for everything. But then we still had this bobblehead train that's been rolling down the tracks for four years. So by the time it came to the station I was like, oh, we gots to do this, and it would be good if we could do it before Christmas so people could send them as gifts or whatever like that.
Speaker 2:And, of course, we're incredibly grateful to Leah for her support of the Aftermath Foundation. It means a lot to us.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and let me just see, is there a way? Well, you can go to the, you can go to the SP shop here. I think I have a little. Do I even have it? Oh yeah, here, it is right here. Fake Navy dolls, bobbleheads and SP bracelets can be gotten at the spshopcom, so wwwthespshopcom. So wwwthespshopcom is where all these things are. And if you do want to get blown for good stuff, you can go to blownforgoodcom, and we have all the normal stuff there. Okay, but that's not all. See, this is where the Kiwis say things, but that's not all, and I guess we should. I'm going to pull up you. You maybe pull up some comments or something while I pull up this page here. I'm going to pull up you Maybe pull up some comments or something. While I pull up this page here. I'm going to pull up this website that we're going to talk about right now.
Speaker 2:All right and shout out to PTS for Life Good to see you here and Shannon, good to see you, let's see. Witness says can I get Mike Rose saying Scientology sucks when you push a button? I'd buy that yeah right.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh. Okay, linda, what's up with your book? Can't wait. Yes, oh my gosh, I'm working on it. I'm about 36,000 words in so far. I'd say I'm about halfway there. In so far, I'd say I'm about halfway there. It's been a real journey, let's just say, because, frankly, my childhood was not something I've ever examined and that was. It's been a long road so, but it's coming. I'm trying to have it done by my 20th anniversary of escape, which is January 24th 2025. Oh, here we go. All right, we back now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there we go, okay. So this is a site. This is called. This is the C? Org and the I'll put the this banner up here. I can't rid of this. And the I'll put the um this banner up here. I can't rid of this other banner, I guess.
Speaker 1:Um, it's called the C S E E org, o R Gorg, and what this is is this is a, a site that's created of, uh, by super fans. Um, we did, we did not. Oh, look at this dark mode. I like that. Oh yeah, dark mode. Wow, yes, we did not. Oh, look at this dark mode. I like that. Oh yeah, dark mode, wow. Okay.
Speaker 1:Now this, if you didn't know, this is in the middle here. That's fake Navy Davey, and I think somebody did this with Dolly. You can tell by the stylized way it is that somebody used AI to create this. But these little guys, this little yellow and orange or red and green guy, those are body thetans. Those are body thetans guys, and they are good body thetans because they are going to help us find all the tiny orcs Scientology has.
Speaker 1:And what we want to do is we wanted to create a fun contest that people could do and these guys put this whole site together and basically you can find an org, take a picture of it and then submit it, and then there's going to be different categories of the orgs. There's small and failing orgs, let's see. So, let's see how. Let's just, we'll just read it. How tiny is your org? Um? Uh, enter the quest, find them all. Small and failing orgs. Um, scientology claims to be a rapidly expanding religion with millions of followers, but, but the reality is much smaller. Estimates suggest that they have fewer than 25,000 active members. Rather than growing, the church is shrinking, with many of its local orgs organizations barely operating or completely empty. This contest is a global effort to expose these truths. Submit a photo G, gain three body things, um, so you can submit a photo and they. And then the prize that is a limited edition. Leo, remedy, bobblehead, ramini is it ramini or ramini? I?
Speaker 1:always ramini, ramini I always forget which way to say her name. Bobbleheads and signed photo by Leah. There you go. There's a bobblehead, there's a picture of the photo, a frame not included. Contestants from all over the world can participate by submitting photos of local Scientology works, either taken in person or edited from a publicly available resources like Google Maps. Just fill in the form on the bottom of the page and upload your photo, and then we will be doing Xenu's work. Sure, choose from one of the categories below. Oh, that's also. That's like a little mini Xenu. I've always imagined Xenu was a really big guy, but he's been re-imagined as like a little troll on this site. So here's the categories. So we will be doing CNU's work. Sure, choose from one of the categories below.
Speaker 1:World's tiniest org. Capture the most minuscule Scientology location. World's most run-down org. Capture Scientology's decrepit buildings. They have a lot of buildings that they've purchased to become ideal orgs that they've never even done anything with, and most of those are derelict and they have people squatting in them and they've been vandalized and so forth. And then the last category is the world's emptiest org and you can capture the world's most deserted org. And then it has the rules, the submission process, submission deadline, I think right now. Um, we're going to do it by December 10th. We're going to announce the winner by December 10th. That way the winner can get um, hopefully, depending on where they are and how long it takes to get to them, um, they can get the uh prize before Christmas. We're going to try to pull that off, if we can. And then the eligibility, the judging, the prizes, the announcement when and where the winners will be announced All this will be on here.
Speaker 1:And then it just says can I submit more than one photo? Yes, you can. I'm lazy. Can I use Google Maps? Yes, you can. And then it's got some of Zinu's planes and some more BTs, body thetans. And then it's just got all the form stuff so that you can do it. And then the disclaimer this is just a fun thing that we're doing here. We're not trying to do anything else besides. Have some fun and show off that Scientology is not an expanding organization with millions and millions of members. It's a tiny little fruity club that's got about 25,000 people Best case scenario. And and so, yeah, so that is thecorgorg.
Speaker 2:Yes, and let's give a shout out. Thank you to Maria, dr Paul, dr X for this brilliant idea. It is intended to highlight the idol orgs of Scientology. This you know Scientology has spent millions and millions of dollars on these buildings and they are now not small failing orgs, they're big failing orgs. So we would just like to document that and see what's actually happening compared to what Scientology says is happening, because there's a stark difference in reality stark difference in reality.
Speaker 1:Yeah, one of the things that Scientology does. A lot of people maybe don't know this. They maybe haven't seen all of the different shows of the aftermath or all the different videos that have been out there over the years, but Scientology has a very, very strong propaganda machine that runs within Scientology. So Scientologists are encouraged not to go to the internet because that's where there's suppressives and people that are putting false data about Scientology on it, and so they work these Scientologists over at these events and they show them all these expanding Scientology organizations, which is really just movie magic. A lot of times, these places that we show full of people are people that were brought in by Scientology to be there for the photo shoot, whether they're Scientologists or not Scientologists, and they use them to fill up the organization and then, when the shoot's over, those people are all gone and there's eight people left in the joint. So they oh, somebody says there's five Leah dolls with signed pictures, to be one.
Speaker 2:Yes, and Dr Paul is in the chat. Hello, oh wow, it's like four.
Speaker 1:I think it's like four o'clock in the morning where they are. Yes, thanks for joining us guys. Yes, dr Paul and Dr X, they might be superhuman.
Speaker 1:I'm not exactly sure, I'm blown away by everything that they do they have sent us so many pictures of little Davy dolls just all over the place in their travels and we might have to do something for that too. We might have to. If you do take a shot and you do have a Davy doll or you have a bobble you have already have a bobblehead and you put it in the shot that those might get extra consideration. I'm just saying cause there's, those are fun sometimes.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:What word do we put in for the comp, please?
Speaker 2:Oh yes.
Speaker 1:Are we supposed to do a giveaway?
Speaker 2:Yeah, we can do two Leah bobblehead giveaways today, today, yes.
Speaker 1:Oh, my goodness, Okay, let me get my giveaway tool fired up here. You got to do this, okay, so we're just going to do hashtag BFG, okay. So let me just make sure that's good. Okay. So, hashtag B BFG I'll put it in there so you guys can see what I'm talking about. To enter there you go. Did it do it? Hashtag BFG to enter, there you go, okay.
Speaker 2:So if you guys put that in the comment and we'll do that at the very end, oh, and also we should mention that we will have a panel of judges to judge the photos. Mark and I will be on that panel. We'll figure out other people to participate in judging the photos. Mark and I will be on that panel. We'll figure out other people to participate in judging the photos and the idea is to just, you know, focus on what Scientology is doing in this world, or not, and continue to expose their abusive practices in the process abusive practices in the process.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they sign and we have been seeing great success. You know, a lot of people on YouTube are concerned about the number of subscribers or the number of views or the number of comments, where we don't have that same approach to what we're doing on YouTube. The way we're we're approaching this is we want to create a library of videos of different stories and different anecdotes and different things that have happened in Scientology over the years, so that Scientologists that have questions about Scientology can go and look and find the answers that they need for the questions that they have. So there's not a million Scientologists, so a lot of these videos are not going to get a million views, because these are things that Scientologists would want to know the answers to. So I understand that doesn't really fit the monetization. You know I'm going to make a gazillion dollars on YouTube model, but that's not what we're trying to do. We're just trying to have a place where we can have this information out for these people and if they find it, they find it. Or if somebody, one of their friends or family finds it, then they can say hey, you know, I saw this video and another thing where people who have people who have relatives or friends or colleagues that are in Scientology and then they disappear and then they go to look for that person.
Speaker 1:Sometimes those names show up in our videos and then they write to us and say, hey, you talked about this person, do you know what happened? And in a lot of cases we know exactly where they are, because there's other people that are inside Scientology that are. Maybe when they leave, they tell us oh, these are all the people that I worked with and these are all the people that were there. And then there's familiar names that pop up every once in a while. So in a lot of cases we will have information for these people.
Speaker 1:And we also don't always talk about all of these people on the channel publicly, because sometimes they don't want to share their story or they don't want to risk. They don't want to risk being able to work their way out of Scientology and then lose that because they got outed by us or we told a story and that we gave enough information so they might be able. Scientology is small enough that if you talk about somebody and you give very little details, scientology is going to be able to figure out who you're talking to just based on location and who knows who. They have a very sophisticated database called the data files.
Speaker 2:They can just type someone's name into that and it willected, as they call it with Scientology or disillusioned or has ever questioned or done anything that was, you know, in the eyes of Scientology, nefarious. Ie Google the word Scientology on the internet. But yeah, there's, the word is definitely spreading far and wide and I would absolutely say that, through the work the Aftermath Foundation does, we have made huge strides in the last few years in developing very active connections with law enforcement. And again, we don't mention anything, but yeah, there's definitely. Even now, law enforcement is connecting us with people who need help.
Speaker 1:So that's amazing next six months or so, a lot of those things will become public and you guys will find out about them and they will be amazing and you will um, you will laugh that um, we weren't doing that many videos, but what we were doing was pretty good, so you'll see it'll all work out in time, but um we've had.
Speaker 1:We've had more conversations with people in the last few weeks that I never imagined we would be talking to, so that's awesome yeah, it is pretty wild and, um, we're happy that we're able to have a little contest, have some new merch for you guys. People been complaining we haven't had any new merch for a while and um, so we've got new merch, we've got new contests, we've got new projects coming up. So very exciting times. And also, on top of all that, claire and I have been slaying it in our own businesses. So we have a lot going on besides trying to crank out some videos on YouTube, besides trying to crank out some videos on YouTube. So we're trying to keep it all going and keep it all active, at least not nothing.
Speaker 2:And so, yeah, so we want to do some giveaways.
Speaker 1:We do, yes, okay. So it says, oh, let me share this. I could do this again. Let me get rid of all these bobble picks. We've got to do a little bit of housekeeping here and then, um, you can, uh, you can read out some uh questions if you want oh, yeah, sure do something besides listen to me mary klein says the more people out of the cult of scientology, the better.
Speaker 2:they all deserve their right to privacy, for obvious reasons. Yes, exactly. And oh, we have a new, a new thing coming up. I will say if you have not subscribed to the Aftermath Foundation YouTube channel, please do so, catherine. If you could drop the link to that, that would be amazing. We've started to put out content there. We would like to just have that be the focus of that channel. Have a dedicated place where you can learn about programs the Aftermath Foundation is working on. And yes, what I was going to say something else.
Speaker 1:Okay, go ahead, yep, okay let me see, there we go, perfect, okay, so we're going to do the first draw. Are we ready?
Speaker 2:We're ready.
Speaker 1:Okay, I'm pushing the button here, draw. Ooh, I even got entered, did you see that? Yeah, you better not win like I did that one time, shannon's name. Ooh, I almost won again.
Speaker 2:Oh, PTS for life.
Speaker 1:All right, there you go, jeff, you are the winner. Dang, she's got the Canadian superpowers on that one.
Speaker 2:Just boom, boom, there we go. Congratulations, jeff.
Speaker 1:Okay, let's go back to here for a little bit and we'll read some comments. We'll let some more people enter and then we'll do another one in a few minutes here. Yes, here's Divine Mischief says I'm so happy for you, jeff. Yes, love Kukich. Good to see we are back to matching blue outfits too. It feels like the world isn't completely upside down if the Heavlies aren't matching blue. You know, it's funny that you say that, because we don't really match. This is what I've been wearing all day today. I know just like I know don't really match I.
Speaker 2:This is what. This is what I've been wearing all day today. I know, just, I know I, I. I will admit that I thought about asking you what shirt you were gonna wear this morning, when and I was like oh, whatever it'll be, luck of the draw.
Speaker 1:Well, you can't say that anymore, jeff, because you just done one there you go.
Speaker 2:congratulations, there you go today. Congratulations, there you go.
Speaker 1:the idea for this book, you know, I don't I may or may not have told this story on here before, but there was another person who wrote a book on Scientology at the exact same time I did, and they had. They were working with a publisher, I wasn't. I was working with Blown for Good Books, that's the, or BFG Books, which is coherent.
Speaker 2:Anyway, so I didn't have an actual publisher.
Speaker 1:So she said, hey, I sent my book to this publisher and they, um, they gave me like a critique of what I needed to fix and she sent it to me. She said, hey, if you want to read it, go ahead. Maybe it'll apply to your book too. And basically they said it's a bit of a, it's a bit depressing, it's gotta be. You gotta add some some, some, some kind of levity into it or something. And and so my book I was considered. I was considering that I was being too comedic and joking about things too much in there and people wouldn't find it serious. And turns out that's exactly what they wanted. Was it to be a little bit more light in the face of all the horrible things that are happening in there? Because it is kind of, it is depressing. And also it's one of these things where you're like oh, no, don't go that way, don't go that way. And you're like, ok, I think I'm going to go this way. And everyone's like so that was intended, so thank you OK, you ready for another giveaway.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:Perfect. Ok, good job. Good job, jeff. Ok, congratulations Jeff.
Speaker 2:Oh, and Jeff, send me an email, claire at blownforgoodcom and with your address, and I will get that shipped to you first thing tomorrow morning.
Speaker 1:Here we go, draw again Skadoosh.
Speaker 2:Skadoosh.
Speaker 1:If I win? What if I win?
Speaker 2:That would be pretty funny, because remember the last time we did oh here we go, divine mischief she just oh.
Speaker 1:It hung.
Speaker 2:KP123. Congratulations, KP123. Okay, there you go, and again your instructions are send me an email claire at blownforgoodcom. Thank you.
Speaker 1:Perfect, okay, let's see. You only have to do it once. Colonel Brock. He has 47, enters it picks it basically.
Speaker 1:Oh hey, colonel Brock, way the StreamYard giveaway tool works is it takes each comment that somebody makes per user and then it enters them. So if you put 10 or one, it only enters you once for per username, per hashtag. So as emergency room tech for 10 years, dark humor was like a life lifesaver for sure. Yeah, yes, so that's the other thing. That's a good point. There's already enough nonsense in the world. If you're trying to tell something, a serious story, and there's a little bit of comedy in there, it does make it a little easier to go down. If it was just all horror shows and nightmares, then horror shows and nightmares, then it I don't know, I that doesn't always. I know some people like that stuff. I've never been a big horror fan, so I like, I like we just went to a comedy show last night. We like comedy, we like going and laughing and having fun, so yes.
Speaker 1:OK, we're going to do it again. Here Is this. How many are we doing? Is this the last one?
Speaker 2:Yeah, this will be the last one we said we would do two, but yeah, we still have it up, so we'll do one more time and again just to reiterate thank you to Dr Paul and Dr X for sponsoring this. We just so greatly appreciate your efforts. You are amazing people. So thank you and Maria for all of the work on the site and it'll be very interesting, I think, to see the photos start to come in and you know again, just to focus on exposing what Scientology is doing in this world, because this world will be a better place without it.
Speaker 1:Nice. Okay, here we go. I'm going to draw again here.
Speaker 2:Okay, here we go.
Speaker 1:Uncle Bubba, oh, I almost won Love Food Kitchen.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:Wow, we're getting a lot of frequent flyers here today that got these, I think.
Speaker 2:Yep.
Speaker 1:I don't know about KP123, but I know I've. I mean sorry, kp123,. No disrespect, but Love Food Kitchen is a little more memorable. I've heard this one before many, many times.
Speaker 2:Yes, congratulations.
Speaker 1:One Food Kitchen I'm trying to hide, oh there we go, okay, perfect, okay, good, I think trying to hide. Oh there we go. Okay, perfect, Okay, good. I think we're good, right, love the kitchen. You know what to do.
Speaker 2:Yes, you know what to do.
Speaker 1:You know what to do Anyway that was fun Is there anything else that we want to do, you guys? We could do a little bit of a Q&A for a few minutes, if you want. I don't know. Oh, here's Dr X, I'll read it.
Speaker 2:I'll read it. Thank you for all your hard work to help those in Scientology and afterwards and all your efforts in exposing the cults. The work the Aftermath Foundation does is very important, which everyone appreciates. Thanks to everyone. Well, thank you to you too. We just so greatly appreciate both of you. Thank you for supporting our efforts. And yes, we will be having. We're working on our first newsletter for the Aftermath Foundation too, which will highlight and outline some of the many new programs we have coming. We have a really great program starting in the next month or two, so details will be in that newsletter. You can sign up for the newsletter at the aftermathfoundationorg. Oh, and yes, we also are going to start. We've picked up social media and sharing news. We have decided that, in the interest of protecting the people we help, we've just made the decision to keep our testimonials anonymous. That being said, this coming week we're starting Testimonial Tuesday, where we will be sharing new testimonials every week from people that we've helped.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's fine if people want. Like Catherine is one. She's sharing her testimonials in video and she's going on different things and she's telling people her story.
Speaker 2:But that's their decision to make Exactly. It's not the Aftermath Foundation's decision. It's a huge choice to speak out publicly against Scientology and we've just decided. The help from the foundation has never been linked to a person's any requirement to share their story. It's help to get them back on their feet. If they decide to then share their story amazing, but it's not a requirement.
Speaker 1:Yes, Love Food Kitchen says thanks, Awesome, Also we have. I did ask for questions. So this person, Rosa 13, says Rebecca Minkoff sent on the Real Housewives of New York. That is a Scientologist and Jewish. Surely that is a Church of Scientology PR line. Isn't that called mixing practices?
Speaker 2:That's exactly right, 100%. Yes, in fact, it's a form of PTS-ness, if you're. What's it called? Anyway, it doesn't even matter. Yes, it's absolutely In.
Speaker 1:Scientology. Yeah, if you get up to the higher levels in Scientology, you will not be able to say on this and that within Scientology. Scientology don't mind if you say that to people outside of Scientology, but you can't do that inside Scientology, the Scientology upper levels. As you get into talking about the body, thetans and all that, you find out in there that all religion is implanted into you when the body, thetan, was removed from its own body and then is attaching to other before it attaches to other bodies. They're programmed by Lord Zinu to think that there was a man on the cross and the world religions and all this. That's all programmed. It's not a real thing In Scientology. That's what L Ron Hubbard says.
Speaker 1:Divine Mischief says some people that win have been very generous and have given their prizes to other people. That's true. You know a good point to find mischief. We have a lot of people that win on the channel and then when we do one of these giveaways and I would say about 90% of them do send us an email if they haven't already gotten the thing or if they, or if they have already gotten it or already had it, or they don't even really care. They want give it you know share.
Speaker 1:What do you call it? Share it?
Speaker 2:what are you putting it forward? Paying it, yeah, sorry, I wasn't paying close enough attention to be on the ball with that yeah, see what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:Guys people get all snippy at me, but I mean, let's just take it back. Take a look back. Um, hey, now dr x. Thank you dr x. Yeah, dr x and dr paul, and uh, maria and all these people. Oh, rebecca b got the joke. Thank you, rebecca b. Um, okay. Um, oh, there's kp123. Hey, hey, been here a while, I know. I just I'm sorry I didn't. Kp123 didn't stick in my mind, but it will from now on.
Speaker 2:Yes, Love Food Kitchen, you know, is anyway. Again, I'm not going to judge things. We appreciate everyone here.
Speaker 1:KP says just not super chatty in the chats.
Speaker 2:There you go.
Speaker 1:That's it. That's all. It's all good. Well, we're glad you're here yeah. I miss your shows with Mike and Amy. Oh yeah, we do too, you know it's funny.
Speaker 2:Stay tuned for special guests coming soon. That's what we will say.
Speaker 1:Yeah, shannon Graves, other than donating, how else can we support the Aftermath Foundation? You can share on social media. You can go follow the Aftermath Foundation on Instagram or YouTube or wherever you media your social or social, your media and share the, share, the stuff we put out. That's another good way. Shannon's already gotten stuff, I know for sure, so she has you know.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know. Speaking of which, by the way, we have a new volunteer database that we set up. So we now have 2,000 active or very close to 2,000 active volunteers in, I want to say, more than 30 different countries. We even have it mapped now, so when we have a need that comes up in a specific area, we can target and contact volunteers in that area based on what they've said they're willing to assist with, which is pretty amazing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, fab said just please give anyone an outlet to tell their story. Do as many weird giveaways as you need. Yeah, that's basically what we've been doing. This is a good one. Oh, that's good. And Rachel's was awesome too.
Speaker 1:Yes, we had, in addition to Catherine, rachel Hastings did a bunch of testimonials and we did little shorts and we produced some little videos. So for all of the people that we have helped that want to do it, we're doing it and for the people that are, you know, they just want to remain anonymous and do their thing and get their life going again, power to them. We want to make sure that they do that. That is more of a priority.
Speaker 1:On publicizing their exit, it's more important for them to get their feet on the ground and get stable, and if they need to, you know we call it decompressing after you get out of there, because you're like in this bubble. And if they need to, you know we call it decompressing after you get out of there, because you're like in this bubble and when you get out of the bubble you're like whoa. So we let people decompress as much as they need to. Maria Martin's, dr X and Dr Pearl are serial givers. Besides working on the side, they gave the five Leah dolls as prizes. Yes, this is true, they did, and that is for that contest that is going to happen on thecorgorg.
Speaker 2:Yes, so send in your submissions and in the description to this video, we will share the site and there's social media accounts that have been set up to share the photos there as well, so we're excited to see some momentum getting going. Clara, in the house, my favorite Headleys Well, back at you.
Speaker 1:Yep, okay, I'm just trying to see if there's any other comments we should pull up here before we. Oh, here we go. Maria's outing some other people Pete Jensen, pete, is it Jensen or Jensen? Pete Jensen configured all the domain tech stuff. Other people are also helping run things. Dingsxy is my reviewer. Awesome, maria, nice and.
Speaker 2:DingsXY is in the chat too. Yes, I know, and again, we've always just felt that. Yes, I know, and again, we've always just felt that, you know, keep your eye on the mountain. We need to expose Scientology, and the way we can best do that is by sharing our experiences while also helping people get out, and that is just the best path forward for me personally and for us, and that's the work we've been doing. It has never been about money. In fact, I had somebody a friend, recently told me I should frame the check that I received from Kendrick Moxon for $75. It was back when we were, when our lawsuit was ongoing and it's a legal requirement that they have to pay for us to be deposed. It was minimum wage, based on one day of minimum wage, though we did four days of deposition. Anyway, I still have that check because I was like hell, no, I refuse to accept anything from these people. So a friend was like frame it and put it on your wall.
Speaker 1:Divine Mischief said are there any special projects we can work on, Like purchasing, pay as you go, phones with minutes already purchased to give to the Seawork members? You know, that's not really something that we need a stock of, because if a new Seawork member gets out, usually we need to get that person the phone, wherever they are, and we just buy it and they just go pick it up. That's, you know, we can, that's something we can. It's not a bad idea, it's just we don't need anything like that. I think what we'll do is we'll probably maybe we'll do suggest to the board that maybe we figure out a way if there's certain things that we can make a list or we can, you know, figure out if there's certain things that can be kind of crowd generated, or you know, I don't know how you I don't know exactly know what we could do that with that.
Speaker 1:The main thing was just to have people in different places, that if we did need something picked up or something brought somewhere, we could do that. We kind of are shying away from the fact of. You know, when we first started we were on a shoestring budget. So if somebody could pick somebody up and bring them to the airport or, you know, that was something that was useful at the very very beginning. At this point, if somebody needs to get picked up, we can just order them an Uber and they can get picked up and brought to the airport.
Speaker 1:It's my, and it's much safer that way and there's less liability for somebody that volunteered that we don't really know. Then we have to vet the volunteers. There's a lot of different things that go into, you know, getting somebody out because we could have somebody who volunteered for us that works for Scientology. So we have had a lot of different, you know, testing of our systems by people that we don't want to be doing that. So we've kind of, you know, we figured out over the years to be how to be a little bit more discreet and a little bit more careful with when and how we get these people help.
Speaker 2:So but I think it's a good idea to brainstorm ideas, that totally that of ways people can help, and so, yeah, we'll get on that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we've also did have a thing where sometimes people did have laptops or phones or whatever that they wanted to donate and we were like, yeah, we do. That is one thing that, on a more often basis, a person getting out does need a laptop. It doesn't need to launch the space shuttle, but it does need to do email and word and stuff like that and people have sent in laptops that we have been able to donate to somebody or get to somebody when they get out to help them kind of get back on their feet.
Speaker 2:So there is different stuff we could list. Yeah, divine mischief asked Uber and Lyft gift cards, and yes, actually that would be very, very helpful. Yep, there you go.
Speaker 1:Awesome, okay, colonel Brock, I'll help in any way. There you go. I don't know where the comment went. There it is Okay. Don't know where the comment went there. It is, there you go, okay, good. And then Catherine just posted a good thing to sign up as a volunteer. Go to this link. Perfect, and we'll put all of the links that we shared in today's video. We'll put all those up on the um in the description and um, yeah, we, um, we're going to start. Um, we we may or may not do some more lives um in the future on a more regular basis. It depends on um how some things shake out that we're in the middle of working on, but, um, we do have a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, guys, I assure you we have not just been doing nothing, um.
Speaker 1:Claire has still been doing interviews and we've been getting those out at least once a week and um, and the podcast is going stronger than ever. We're getting, um, we're getting up to, I think we're getting. We're hovering between seven and 9,000 downloads a week on the podcast, which is great. Um for an hour podcast on on the regular Um and um. So yeah, we're still doing stuff and we're still doing all the other stuff and we still have three kids and we still have a whole small zoo at this house and everything else that's going on.
Speaker 2:So, um, we're trying to keep it all going, guys and we appreciate all your support and all your help, we really do.
Speaker 1:Okay, um, is there anything else that we anything else? I think that's it right. We did the giveaways, we did the go and get your bobbleheads. If you don't have a bobblehead, we oh, I forgot to say this there's only a limited amount of the signed ones. I don't think I mentioned that. I want to say that there's no more than 100 of the three different signed ones. I think two or three hundred of the Mike bubble heads left and I don't think we're going to make any more. After we sell out all of these, it will just switch over to merch, mainly merch. We're debating the SP bracelets. Claire really loves the SP bracelets, I not so much.
Speaker 2:But so point was like we have the SP bracelet. What about a PTS bracelet?
Speaker 1:Yeah, she's trying to make a PTS bracelet. Folks Put bleep bloop it in the below. Do we need a PTS bracelet? I don't know. Okay, let's let the people decide on this one. Don't leave it up to me. Don't leave it up to Claire. If you say yes for a PTS bracelet, then bleep bloop it in the comments down there. Mine doesn't work, mine doesn't work, you know what? So bleep bloop that in the comments if you think we should add a bracelet. But if you want to get one of those signed baubles, you're going to have to get on that sooner than later, and I think that'll be it.
Speaker 2:And yes, and go to the SeaOrgorg Check out the contest. We very much look forward to it. It's always best in this space to have a united front and focus on exposing Scientology for the dangerous and abusive cult that it is, and that's what this competition is intended for. And thanks again to everyone behind the scenes assisting with this Nice.
Speaker 1:Until next time, guys. Bye. Thanks for watching. If you'd like to help support the channel, feel free to check out the merch store link in the description. We have Hail Xenu Xenu is my homeboy and BFG branded mouse pads, shirts, mugs, all sorts of other stuff in there that helps us to bring you new content on a regular basis.
