Social work is sacred work
Today, we’re going to talk about what it means to be a spiritual social worker and practitioner and how we can cultivate a spiritual framework that centers the decolonization of Western practices. This episode discusses the path of becoming a spiritual practitioner/social worker/therapist/ who is committed to the process of unlearning, learning and relearning to cultivate a spiritual framework that is rooted in challenging all the ways we have learned that does not serve our communities. We believe that integrating spirituality into your work requires that you are in constant relationship with the process of decolonization. We strongly encourage our listeners and those in practice to seriously consider that this is a lifelong journey of learning and unlearning. We are never not in this process of decolonizing spiritual healing work.
We invite you to remain open and receptive to what you are going to listen to today. And if you can feel free to listen to this episode more than once as there may be something that you may need to listen to more than once to understand.
