Feeling unproductive and exhausted in your business? Are you heading to burnout? This episode is for you
Nov 14, 2023 Season 1 Episode 29
Michaela Fong - Small Business Marketing Strategist

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by your to-do list? You know that feeling like you are working more but not getting as much done as you’d like? Some days you lack motivation and productivity and perhaps overreact to little things. Maybe you even find yourself giving too much power to self-doubt, comparison and other destructive thoughts in your head.

If that sounds familiar to you, you might be running yourself to burnout. I’ve been there in the past, and this year I almost got myself there again. Luckily I could recognize the signs and knew exactly what was going on.

Working on our business can be rewarding and exciting, but it can also be emotionally, mentally and physically draining. A lot of times, we sacrifice every second of free time we have to work on our business and keep adding more which can be a really slippery slope.

In today’s podcast episode, I dive into the topic of burnout in business, how to spot signs of burnout, and what you can do to get yourself out of it (or even better, how to prevent it!).

In this episode, we’ll cover:

  • How to get back on track when you feel exhausted, unproductive and demotivated in your business
  • My burnout story and how to recognize signs of burnout
  • Importance of self-compassionate reflection in your business
  • 5 actionable things you can do to overcome/prevent burnout in your business

Resources:

Books mentioned in this episode:

  • Mountain is you
  • This is how you heal
  • Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less
