Unlock your training modules and more.Welcome to this audio recording on autogenic training, a relaxation technique that can help address stress, fear, and anxiety. Autogenic training is a method that involves using self-suggestion to create a feeling of relaxation in the body and mind.
To begin, find a quiet and comfortable place to relax without distractions. Sit or lie down and take a deep breath, filling your lungs with air and then exhaling slowly. As you exhale, let go of any tension you may be feeling.
Now, close your eyes and imagine yourself in a peaceful place like a beach or forest. Then focus on my voice.
As you continue the exercise, you may feel a sense of warmth or heaviness in your body. This is a sign that you are becoming deeply relaxed. Allow yourself to sink further into this state of relaxation, letting go of any tension or anxiety that may be present.
Finally, when you are ready to end the exercise, take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to observe how you feel and notice any changes in your body or mind.
Remember, the more you practice this exercise, the easier it will become to achieve a state of deep relaxation. Autogenic training can be a powerful tool for managing stress, fear, and anxiety and can help you feel more centred and balanced in your daily life.
