So yeah, I mean, that's kind of why we decided to do it together, because it's two episodes, but it's just one encompassing story, so we thought might as well just go ahead and. Get one story out and knock it out.

All right. So, We're jumping right in with episode 11, everything but the rain.

I'm torn by this because the rain is a motif and I think the rain sadness or some type of emotion. Just like in a lot of anime we see the rain and I think it was in like a full metal alchemist death note. We see. Rain is kind of like an omen. So you can look at it saying that everything but the rain, but emotion, which doesn't make any sense. Or you can say that rain happened and there was a lot of rain in this episode, like this entire episode it rained, but the rain was not the story. It was everything else that happened besides the rain. That's just my thoughts.

Okay. Well, that's a good point. I mean, I, I could see it, The about the rain being sadness and then I guess if you wanna interpret it, literally everything, but sadness.'cause it seemed quite sad. Yeah.

no, he said that, Ichigo, he never had a ucci. He was never going to win, I guess win the fight with Asa Uchis and he was talking to Regie, like Regie. You knew this. Everyone has a zpa toe. Everyone has their eyes. Asci except. Ichigo, even kimchi Zaki, who I guess he lifted as an ucci off a dead soul. Reaper had an Auchi except Ichigo,

Yeah. he said he knows the location of every assi and. The fact that Ichigo managed to have ATO without having an ucci speaks to the fact that

So him, Kumi has this, they have this really strange relationship where she's his boss and she's like a mother, a boss, a friend. So much so that he's showering at her apartment.

And then his father captain Sheba appears to him and kind of disappears as kind of like a signal that, Hey, we need to talk.

If he's in, when he's in Shinigami robes, he's invisible to human eyes. Right. That's what I believe. It's like when Ichigo uses his soul past and his soul leaves his body, they can't see his soul unless they have some type of spiritual awareness. So he talks with his father and how do you think that conversation goes?

he just basically told us each ago that he understands why they kicked him out and just like what they said, Ichigo doesn't really have a clear understanding of where he came from

it makes sense because IGOs, he's out there with all these things. He's finding out different things about himself, about evidently. Now he has a relationship with Yuha, and we know that he is a substitute soul, reaper and a human. So he needs some clarity. And it's about time someone fills him in. Where does this soul come from?

Yeah, but he just kind of tells them that, okay, yeah, you are not a sole reaper, but you're not an ordinary human either. just lays out that, that he needs to know more about who his mother is. And so then we get into the story of Ichi Go's mother Masaki Kiyosaki,

And again, the flashback happens and it's raining. It was raining in the present, and it's raining in this flashback. The flashback, it takes place where Masaki is. It's kneeling over a hurt Sheba. And she's announcing herself as a Quincy. Is that how you remember it? No.

And and I guess if we keep in with the linear aspect of how it was presented, then we have like Eisen talking about his qualification experiments and that he was looking for visors.

Right. Okay. So, and it's starting to come back to me now. They were talking about incidents in this new town, and this town is right beside Caro Town. It's called Nor Raki. Roki Nara. Raku Raki, one of them. And it's the adjacent town beside Caro Town. And once that was reported to, Sheila reported it. Sheba just leapt to leapt to check things out. He pretty much told his subordinates to stay and we never got a clear understanding why he went by himself or do you think,

yeah. why did, he leave by himself with no help?

yeah, we, we didn't, we didn't understand, we didn't get a clear understanding, like you said. I just maybe assumed that he thought that he could handle it the report was that sole reapers were being killed. So no need for to put his subordinates in unnecessary danger

Okay, that makes sense.'cause the Eisen gin and toon were talking about the hollow they created and that they're still trying to locate key skating. So key skate's really good at hiding.

Yeah. So we get back to Masaki and so we know she's a Quincy and she's living with the Ishida family that we know is a family of Quincy's, and we find out that she is Obligated to marry Uriah's. Father and so Sheba is on the scene and a Black hollow appears

and. He's fighting the hollow and Masaki being where she is on the isda compound feels the spiritual pressure from them fighting the the hollow and Sheba and feels like as a Quincy, that with the powers to help, that she should go out and help despite objections from everyone

Giovani 10:11

right. And this is because I guess there's like a the queens have this line, I want to call it a caste system, but it's not really a caste system. It's more like true bloods versus mixed bloods. And if you're true blood, you are sacred. Right. What I did notice though is that hollow, the, what we know now know is white. He looks familiar, right? He.

We've seen them before.

He looks like Ichigo

Right,

Giovani 10:44

looks like Ichigo when he's in his his amped up hollow form, which is starting to, I mean, the picture is starting to unravel now, that's pretty exciting.

And so, we get some narration from Sheba, and he thinks that Since the Hollow is using Eros and fighting like a meows, he feels like it's, he's, I mean, obviously he's not just a regular hollow and that was engineered and someone sent him there.

and as he's talking, he feels a slash from the back, he gets a nice cut, nice deep cut from, I guess there was three figures just looming up in the air. One of them, Eisen, I think Eisen was the one who slashed him to try to weaken him and hopefully that white's able to eat him or consume him,

and I think it's at that time, masaki far or arrow and saves him.

Danielle 11:45

Well distract the hollow from Sheba. And so he attacks her and she allows him to her

That was strange. That was suspicious.

Danielle 11:57

he bit her and in the process she basically gave him a, a Reishi Arrow headshot, which finished him off. So,

He exploded. you could see because white had, you know, most, most, hollows have a hole in their chest, but his hole was filled in with some material we don't know of. So when Masaki shot him in the head, that that hole, that part of the fence hole started to explode and they were ruptured. Think Sheba had to come in to take the blunt of the blunt of the blow from Masaki, and that's when he was laid on the ground and she was huffling over him, checking them out. And you could tell right then that they had chemistry and that he felt something for her.

well, I mean, I guess there's chemistry in terms of just being interested in the fact that she introduced herself as a Quincy, But um, it's To be determined kind of moment. But in the meantime UR Yu's father Reka, observes all of this from hiding. I guess he came out anyway, despite his objections to make sure that, could survive this interaction with the hollow.

And category. I think that's her name. That's was the maid's name, the ESH category.

Yeah.

They both went and they witnessed the entire thing. That did not help. And yeah, I mean, what do you think about that? What do you think about the, the Quincy in general? Just the way they behave? It's kind of I don't know.-Like we've this is almost like a, a Japanese trope we see where someone gets mistreated over and over again. Kind of like a, a Cinderella story almost.

cause Masaki, I feel like it's mistreated.

that's the impression that they, that they gave us, that she's there. She is essentially an orphan from what we gather from what was said and. She's being fostered by them for one purpose and one purpose only,

keep the bloodline alive.

to, to keep the bloodline alive and to marry reka. So,

Do you think he has true feelings for her? Because I think, I I think he does.

it, it came off that way. she was breaking and bending all the rules and he was still trying to cover for her and keep her out of trouble with the powers that be. So, yeah, I mean, it, it kind of came off that way. I don't think the feelings were mutual, but

I don't think their feelings were mutual, but when he was talking to Ka gear about Ma Masaki, he made it seem like, okay, this is only for the bloodline. But you can tell outside of when Kada gear's around, you can see that he likes her. And there's something about Masaki Kawasaki

Yeah. So we get um, towards the end of episode 11, we get a scene with Eisen and his a few of his subordinates. And he

is, yeah, so he, we now see that he was the one that was responsible for that hollow and that he created that hollow from a dead soul reaper. And the whole thing was essentially like a big experiment for him.

And it seemed like they were trying to achieve a goal with, with that hollow that got interrupted when it bit masaki. from how they talked, it's like hollow, reached this metastasizing phase, and then when he bit her, he passed that along to her. And so they were very upset that they lost that. It is like they put all that work into him and then they lost it. So,

Masaki has that now.

right. So I guess that's a little bit more insight and foreshadowing into what exactly is going on with Ichigo in terms of what he is,

And that's why I was, that's exactly where I was going to Also, because this process, if you remember Ki K had Ichigo go through this hollow training. He did it twice. The first one when Ichigo had the hole and chain in his chest and it was trying to get him to, to gain control of his hollow. And the second time was to make him a visor. You know, it was always fighting this hollow that's inside you. And now we know that the hollow that was inside him the whole time was white Right? So it is coming full circle. That's storytelling. That's good storytelling.

know. so we move on and we get into episode 12, which is everything but the rain June

Wait, wait, Before, Before, before, we, I guess we want to talk about this, and I just noticed this, and I think we might've talked about it before that, before that episode ended, they flashed forward, they went into the present and you see it's raining and is standing outside and he's met by you Graham Alt. And this is the first meeting between these two Quincy and I mean, you just don't know what's gonna happen. It's gonna be a fight, a talk, who knows more to come.

All right, so we're at episode 12 and we're doing more flashbacks and we have Yamamoto meeting with the head captains to discuss Shibas

right? With dealing with that hollow white

and Yamamoto forgives him for going rogue. Mauri wanted him to keep the hollow alive so he can experiment on him. That's so right.

And Yamamoto is wondering about this. Quincy, like, is that all? Do you think he knows, you think Yamamoto knows that there's more to this story,

Danielle 18:32

Well, the Quincy was left out of the report, so I mean, he might suspect that there's more to it, I don't think he knows in particular that Masaki was involved.

But he knows something else is going on.

Danielle 18:45

Right.

Giovani 18:46

Just the way he looked at Sheba, it's like, okay, do you want to tell me what really happened? so I thought that was interesting,

so we um, continue on with the flashback. We have Kiske bumping into Masaki.

While they was walking.

Danielle 19:04

Right. I guess that was just kind of like a I guess a nod to where Kiki came in and that whole ichigo lifespan kind of scenario. Like he was there from way, way, way in the beginning of things.

Giovani 19:19

Well, what I also remember is Masaki and Sheba, they were thinking about each other and, and kind of daydreaming, kind of admiring her from a distance. And she was wondering about the Soul Reaper. And they also let it be known that Masaki and I can, u's father, I cannot think of his name, Udi's father, the cousins.

The cousins. who are, who may be married. Did you catch that also?

Yeah, I caught that. But

So Ichigo and OU are cousins as well then, right? Everybody's family not bad. not bad at all.

so we jump into the in intro and then after we get we open with Masaki getting read the Riot Act from Roku's and she's being blamed for helping the Soul Reaper and endangering the Quincy bloodline.

Giovani 20:22

Right, because Quincy can only come out. How is this? I'm trying to remember. They pr, they still protect Caram from Hollows, but they can't risk exposure. So they have to do everything they need to do before shinigami comes. So I think that's what was the big deal.

Danielle 20:49

And while all this is going on, she falls ill and a hollow hole of pairs on her chest, which is like, whoa,

Giovani 21:01

Right, right in front of the sheeters. They are not happy about that.

Danielle 21:05

No. And so KU Takes her away to find Sheba.

Giovani 21:11

They bump in the sheeter. Yeah.

Danielle 21:13

And so he appears and he is kind of stunned by her condition. He wasn't expecting her to be suffering in that way. And Kiki also appears and says that he might have a solution that would be able to help her.

Right. At the time they were talking about Quincy Healing, healing Methods, which I don't know what that is, but in the same way Keke helps to me, him helping is similar to Mare helping Do you really want it? You know, do you really want Keke to help you?

Danielle 21:50

Well, I mean, his helping is also like Mary's is kind of last resort kind of helping. Like you know, he might get you an answer, but it's not gonna be. easy by any means.

Giovani 22:04

Well, you know, the whole thing with rookie here, and we found out that Kik put the hokey Q into Lucia and he used this modified gee guide to stripper from a powers. So he did all this for For selfish means. For no reason besides that, so you can't really trust Keith Kay.

So you, are you saying Kike is not necessarily a, a good guy?

He's out for self. I think he's out for his self,

whatever he wants to do or whatever. He, he's just like Mauri, I tell you. Like

Okay. So he um, introduces himself and just he says that she's going through a ification episode and that. In the current state that she, that she's in, he might be able to help her, but she won't return wholly to who she was

So he, can save her with kind of like a Quincy vaccine of sorts it would keep her in this suspended state.

Well, I was wondering like, how do you have this and the Quincy don't have it? Like, what do you, what is this?

Yeah. I don't know.

So he said, he said that it would keep her in the suspended state and that along with She needs a counteractive force right in, in, in the shape of a soul. Reaper slash human soul tie. So like a soul tie using rei

a REI bond. And I think what's happening is as of now, Masaki is Quincy and Hollow, they need to counterbalance it with a human and soul reaper, because

let's see, a hollow and a soul reaper or natural opposites. And that's what's keeping them back. Or maybe it's a, Yeah. something like that. I think that's the balance they're trying to make here. It, it puts in my mind kind of a marriage, you know, in some ceremonies they're tie, like a wrap around both arms. Do you know what I'm talking about? In some marriage ceremonies, it's kinda like that. It's not like they are.

So it is like they're married without going. They went through some ceremony, but they're not married. But they're married.

Well, I mean, all this information he presents to Sheba as the one who would have to be the counteractive force,

right. I, I think the bloodline aspect of the, of the situation takes second place to his feelings about her, you know? But either way he's losing both

Well, she was losing a lot too.'cause if I can remember, he's no longer, if he goes along with this, he would no longer have a soul of power. He can't

Because he has to be in a

right. He's can't feel hollows. And he's solely responsible for this woman's love line because evidently it can be passed from generation to generation and he has to outlive them all.

category meets him in the rain He reads her the riot act one for telling on them about you know, what happened with the hollow, with Masaki. And then in the process she also makes her plea to fill Masaki spot. She's like, you know, forget about her. her heart wasn't in it

And he was he was like, you had one job to do. It's just keep your mouth closed and you couldn't even do

keep your mouth closed. Right? But she was like, forget that, forget her anyway. like, I'm a true believer. I'm here for the Quincy

But she is not a true blood though, according, she's not

like maybe she her heart's in it and that can make up for whatever she's lacking

Like there is two love stories happening and I, I really believe that, and I know some people don't believe in arranged marriages, but for the most part, they work, you know, because it's two families marrying each other. It's not just one, two people, it is two families. So even in the enemy world, I think Ishida and Kaur lived a good life. And so the Masaki and

That's how it was pre, that's how it was presented. So, we'll, we'll see. But if they, if they delve into'cause we, I mean we see from the beginning of bleach till now, we've seen the outcome of all of this, but we've never seen the lead up. So I don't know if we're gonna get more of how the relationship develops from, from that point on. I'm sure the everybody in the manga knows but you know we're just coming from a point of like, you know, where

right? So then we get Masaki and she is looking the picture of health. I, I am assuming the procedure worked and she leaves, she's leaving. The is Sheda family. And we also see Sheba who is set settling into his human state and he's opening a clinic and we just get, see that they're like intertwining their lives and it seems like they, they start dating and they fall in love and

I was thinking, but this is the amazing thing with what, what just happened is I didn't know Masaki was that young because she was just like a junior in high school when she was with Sheba. So there was some

time passed and they said she graduated high school. I was like, what?

so I, I didn't I guess I should've thought of it, but. You know, she's very young, so I'm glad she decided to go to college, finish high school, go to college while still keeping in contact with this older, older gentleman. And I guess it was a spark there from the beginning. It was a spark.

They also mentioned that, She kept on asking him, why aren't you a soul reaper? What happened to your powers? And he would come up with some Excuse like, I got into trouble and Yamamoto did something to me. I don't know. And she let him pretend.

right, that she didn't suspect that he did something other than what was told to her.
