In our recent episode, we discussed the demise of the parental choice in education legislation, known as Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), during the fourth special session on November 17th. It seems Governor Abbott is now shifting his focus towards advancing educational opportunities for Texas families through the upcoming elections, as the battle for pro-parental rights legislation continues against strong opposition from teacher unions and the public school lobby. The debate ultimately hinges on the ability to elect or defeat candidates in the Republican primary next March.
