Elizabeth mom, wife, runner, and avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Fighting Irish. We met on the local moms Facebook page for our town, and had a lively conversation about the Olympics, running, golf, Netflix shows, Riley Leonard, and so much more.
Note: if anyone has an extra ticket to the Masters Golf tournament, Elizabeth's husband, Chris, would appreciate the invitation, and would happily supply the beverages.

Links to all the fun stuff:
Riley Leonard's fantastic "suck" story
Netflix's Full Swing
Happy Gilmore

Notes from the Sidelines:

  1. Riley Leonard's mother kept his ego in check by telling him, "You suck," before each game. It was important to him that he not get consumed by the constant praise coming from outside sources and that he be driven by internal motivation.
  2. Elizabeth's family believes in supporting each other's athletic endeavors, so they show up and cheer for one another, whether it's races, gymnastics meets, or basketball games. Their philosophy is, "I watch you and cheer for you, so you do the same for me."
  3. It is important to choose a college with the right sports vibe, because each school is different and you want to make sure it's the proper fit for you.
