The path to resurrection runs through suffering. Jesus, the Suffering Servant, shows that life comes through death, like a seed that must fall and be buried to grow.

This reflection calls us to resist comfort and embrace transformation. What in our lives needs to die so something new can grow? Following Jesus means entering into both his suffering and his mission.

Today's Prayer Prompt:

Pray that God would remind you today about the pain of his suffering and sacrifice. Ask that God would remind you of the physical pain that he endured on the cross and through the beatings. Ask that he would remind of the emotional pain of being left alone by so many he loved. Ask that he would remind you of the spiritual pain leading to crying out: "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"

Today's Scripture Reading: Isaiah 52:13-15; John 12:20-50
