Welcome back to Ask Velvet. Good Wednesday morning, good Wednesday morning, good Wednesda morning. I'm sitting right here on my front porch again, lemon tea in my hand, watching the world wake up one car at a time. The traffic is already rolling through the neighborhood, car after car after car moving through the four way stop that folks around here still haven't quite figured out yet. One day they'll get it right, but today is not that day. I see people walking their dogs, some pulling their jackets a little tighter around them as the morning air still carries that cool touch. Birds are ch already up, chirping like they've got somewhere important to be. And behind the houses the sun is rising, that soft orange, that yellow glow peeking through the backs of the homes, stretching across the sky like a quiet promise. The mornings are changing now. It's getting lighter earlier, and as I sit here watching the cars roll by, I notice something. Every single one of them is going somewhere. Some blasting music, some riding in silence, some rushing, some drifting slow. But every one of them is headed somewhere. And it makes me think about life. Life is a lot like this morning traffic rolling through the neighborhood. Everybody is moving. Everybody is on a journey. Some people know exactly where they're going. Some people are still figuring it out. And some folks are just driving and hoping the road eventually makes sense. Some people are loud about their journey, music blasting, letting the whole world know they're coming, and others move quietly, riding in silence, carrying thoughts nobody else can hear. But no matter how loud or how quiet we're all moving, sometimes we rush through the stops, sometimes we hesitate too long, and sometimes we sit there at life's four way intersection wondering Is it my turn yet? But here's the thing about mornings. Every sunrise is a reminder that God woke us up for a reason. Another day to move, another day to try again, another day to figure out the road. Just like those cars rolling through that intersection, we may not always know exactly where the journey will take us, but the blessing is we're still on the road, still breathing, still waking up, still given another sunrise to see. And that alone is something worth thanking God for. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for this beautiful Wednesday morning. Thank you for the rising sun, for the chirping birds, for the quiet peace that comes with a new day beginning. Thank you for waking us up this morning and giving us another chance to walk the roads you've placed before us. Lord, as we travel through this day, guide our steps the same way you guide the sun across the sky. When we come to life's intersections, give us wisdom to know when to move, patience to know when to wait, and faith to trust that you are directing our path. Protect everyone traveling today, those walking, those driving, those working, and those searching for their purpose. Calm anxious hearts. Strengthen tired spirits. Remind us that even when we don't know exactly where we're going, you already know the destination. Let today be filled with peace, kindness, and grace. And may we move this day, remembering that every sunrise is proof that your mercy is new again. In your name we pray. Amen. So as the cars keep rolling through this neighborhood and the sun keeps climbing higher into the sky, I'll be right here on this porch, sipping my lemon tea, watching another day unfold. And wherever you're going this morning, drive safe on the road and move with purpose on the journey. This is Velvet, and you've been listening to Ask Velvet. I'll see you next time right here on the porch.
