But yes, I'm so truly thankful for your donation. And don't forget, please subscribe to my podcast. Please, please subscribe to this podcast. Hey, hey, hey, welcome back. Welcome back. You are in tune, locked in, and tap into your favorite place for real talk and real moments. This is your girl, and if this is your first time here, you already know you're in the right place. So tonight, well, tonight is Cap's game night. I actually started watching the game on my way home from on the train from work, catching a good majority of it before I even made it through my front door. And as soon as I got home, I rushed straight into my bedroom, turned on the TV, and picked right back up where I left off. So I could watch the rest of the game while I ate my dinner. And listen, tonight's dinner, nothing fancy at all, just a sandwich and some chips. Because sometimes you just don't feel like eating a full meal, you know, not the chicken, rice and veggies, not the mashed potatoes and gravy, pork chops or meatloaf, just a simple sandwich kind of night. Now, don't get me wrong, I usually have to have rice with my with any of my meals. I have a thing about rice. It doesn't matter what I'm eating, chicken, turkey, hot dogs, meatloaf, I have to have rice on the side. And not just plain rice either. It's gotta have butter and lemon pepper. That's right. No extra seasoning, just butter and lemon pepper. I love lemon pepper. It just does something every time. But anyway, back to the game. The caps were playing the flyers and it was a game for real. Back and forth, high energy, and you could feel the tension building. At one point it was tied. Then the caps pulled ahead and the whole vibe just shifted. And let's talk about what really had me locked in. The fights. Because this right here is why I love hockey. When they fight, they don't just argue, they throw down gloves hitting the ice, jerseys getting pulled, helmets halfway off, punches being thrown, I mean really going at it. And yeah, the referees step in before it gets too out of hand. But for that moment, it's raw. It's real and it's exciting. The kind of energy you just can't ignore. If you've never been to a hockey game, I'm telling you right now, you need to go at least once. Because once you experience that kind of atmosphere, the crowd reaction, that intensity, you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about. And the caps, oh, they handled business tonight. Final score six four. A solid win against the Flyers. The kind of win that reminds you why you love watching in the first place. And honestly, I felt really good to sit down and enjoy the game again. Life has been busy just dealing with all the little details that come with it. And sometimes you don't realize how much you miss the simple things until you go back to them. Tonight was one of those moments. It also made me think about how much I miss being at the arena, being in that crowd, cheering with everybody, feeling that energy live. Yeah, I'm definitely going to make my way back to a game. I have to. But until then, I already know I'm tuned in for the next one. And let me not forget today's weather. It was actually really nice outside. Warm, almost like summertime. I saw people out in shorts, tank tops, short sets, just outside enjoying it. But me, I'm not falling for it just yet, because I already know how Mother Nature likes to play. One minute it's warm, next minute it's cold again, like it's got an attitude. And speaking of weather, who decided Punxatani Phil was going to predict anything? I had to look that up and come to find out it goes all the way back to German traditions like Candlema's day, where they used animals to predict the weather. They used badgers back then, but here in the US, they went with a groundhog. And now every year people gather to see if he sees his shadow or not. And the funny part is he's only right about 40% of the time. So yeah, I think I'll trust my own judgment on the weather. Now, before I get out of here, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Like truly, from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate each and every one of you who tunes into my podcast, who takes the time to listen, who downloads each episode. Because of you, I've reached my goal of one thousand downloads in one day. And that means everything to me. And now we're aiming even higher. The next goal is two thousand downloads in one day. The energy was right, the fights were wild, and I'm ending the night feeling good. I'll catch you in the next episode.
