Welcome to Ask Velvet. So listen, there's just something about that ride home after a long day. You're tired, your feet might be hurting a little bit, your mind is already halfway in relaxation mode. But let me tell you what really gets you through that ride. Knowing you about to eat something good. And today, oh I already had it planned in my head. I'm thinking about what I'm about to order, how fast I can get home, and how I'm about to sit down, get comfortable, and enjoy my evening. But not just any evening, because tonight we've got the NFL draft. Now you already know the draft brings a whole different kind of excitement. Because it's not just football, it's anticipation. It's people's lives changing in real time. It's teams making moves that could either have fans celebrating or sitting there like now what was that? And me I'm locked in. Especially when it comes to the Washington Commanders. I'm sitting there wondering, are we done? Or do we have another pick coming? Because that's the part that keeps you on edge. You don't always know what your team is about to do. And sometimes they surprise you. So now I'm juggling two very serious priorities. What am I about to eat? And what is my team about to do? Because let's be real, food tastes even better when your team makes a good pick. But if they don't now you just sitting there side eyeing your plate like this ain't hitting the same. And that's the beauty of nights like this. It's the mix of comfort and excitement. Your space, your food, your team, and just being in the moment. So as I'm pulling up, keys in hand, already thinking about getting settled, I realize it's the simple things that really make the day. A good meal, a good game, and something to look forward to. And tonight we've got all three. All right, y'all. I'm about to go ahead and get in this house, get comfortable, and see what happens with this draft.
