I'd love to welcome everyone back to Ask Velvet. Pull up a chair, grab your favorite cup of coffee or tea, and spend a few quiet moments with me. Good morning, my beautiful listeners, and welcome back to Ask Velvet. This morning is a little different. I'm sitting on my front porch while a gentle rain falls from the sky. The neighborhood is still asleep. There are no cars rushing by, no loud conversations, just the sound of raindrops dancing on the pavement, birds greeting the new day and a peaceful stillness that reminds me just how precious life really is. As I sit here, I'm reminded that every new day is a gift from God. Every sunrise, every raindrop, every breath we take is another opportunity to thank Him for His grace and mercy. Sometimes we get so caught up in the busyness of life that we forget to stop and simply appreciate the quiet moments. I have to laugh because my fur baby Boo Boo always knows when I'm out here. He comes over, settles down right beside me, and together we just enjoy the morning. He doesn't need words. He simply enjoys being present. And maybe that's a lesson for all of us to slow down, breathe, and appreciate where we are. There is something about a rainy morning that washes away the noise. It gives me time to reflect, to pray, and to remember how far God has brought me. No matter what challenges yesterday held or what today may bring, I know that His grace has carried me through every single one of them. Life will get busy before long. The phones will ring, errands will need to be done, responsibilities will call our names, and the world will move at its usual fast pace. But these few quiet moments on the front porch are a blessing I never take for granted. Today I simply want to say thank you. Thank you, Lord, for waking me up this morning. Thank you for another opportunity to live, to love, to laugh, and to grow. Thank you for every lesson, every blessing, and even every challenge that has made me stronger. And thank you to each and every one of you listening. I never take your support for granted. The fact that you choose to spend part of your day with me means more than words can express. Whether you've been here from the beginning or you're listening for the very first time, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your day. Before we close, let's pray together. Heavenly Father thank you for this beautiful day. Thank you for the gentle rain that reminds us you continue to nourish the earth just as you nourish our souls. Thank you for your grace, for your mercy, your protection, and your unfailing love. Lord, bless every person listening today. Bring peace to troubled hearts, comfort to those who are grieving, strength to those who are tired, healing to those who are hurting, and hope to those who feel discouraged. Guide our steps throughout this day and help us remember that no matter what we face, you are always with us. Help us to be grateful for the little things, the quiet mornings, the songs of the birds, the laughter of loved ones, and the simple gift of another day. We thank you for every blessing you have already given us and every blessing that is still on the way. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. As I sit here listening to the rain and enjoying this peaceful morning with Boo Boo by my side, I'm reminded that happiness isn't always found in big moments.
