So we started this project fairly recently and have some content recorded that we've been editing before we officially launched. That features AH, wide variety of entrepreneurs discussing their lives, their businesses, the successes and failures and the struggles that everyday entrepreneurs experience. And we've got some good editing done on those other episodes with music and some effects and even a couple of advertisers. But in a lot of this worldwide corona virus pandemic and its effect on entrepreneurs and small businesses around the world, and the fact that we're basically locked in our homes, as we all should be for the foreseeable future, we thought it best to record some short episodes as often as we can from the perspective of us, the host of the podcast and some other entrepreneurs that we know as we deal with trying to run our small businesses in a time of crisis. So we'll call this the acoustic version, and it's always gotten so I apologize for the quality of recording right now, but quality will get better when I can get my podcasting equipment set up here at home. Um, and until then, the old iPhone will have to suffice My name is Corey Lewis, and I'm sitting on the tailgate in my truck in my driveway in Asheville, North Carolina. Right now it's Tuesday, March 17 2020. I've been an entrepreneur since about 2005 but I also grew up as a child or extremely hardworking entrepreneurs that are also feeling the effects of this pandemic. I'm now involved in a few different industries, and through a ton of failures, I have found some success. My partner in crime that's come on board for this podcast is Jamie Dove. He's an entrepreneur and an award winning restaurant tour. Um, you can read more about both of us on the website E a dash podcast dot com. We don't really have any expectations for this, and our hope is that you can hear something that's helpful. You makes you want to support small businesses. Or at the very least, maybe you can send some small businesses in your area some con wards for what they provided you in your community. And hopefully this will be therapeutic for us because they're gonna be some that won't survive this. Some people and some businesses and your words of encouragement would probably go a long way. They certainly would. For us, listener discretion is advised on this podcast. I tend to have a party mouth. Any listeners were probably adults anyway, So please describe follow along. As we find our way through this mess, I'm going in this little preview episode how I'd planned on starting the first episode of the original podcasts because it probably rings more true now in a much different way than it did before. And goddamn it. I'm not gonna let the Corona virus ruin this for me too. So here goes. Mmm. It's not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is more about dust and sweat and blood. Who strives valiantly, Who Ares, who comes up short again and again. But there is no effort without error and shortcomings, but who does actually strive to do the deeds knows great enthusiasms. The great devotions who spends himself in a worthy calls who had the best knows in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and it was the worst if he fails, at least fails, while daring greatly so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither new victory nor defeat now imagine inspiring music that starts as the Roosevelt quote ends, and we announce the name of the podcast in the first episode. That sounded good, right? So we're posting our first Corona virus War Room episode soon.
