Pastoral counselor and minister, Reverend Dr. Freddye James, joins the podcast today.
Rev. Dr. James discusses her personal lived experiences as she served as a caregiver for her mother in the last few recent years until her mother’s death. She shares how difficult and isolating being a caregiver can be even with some support.
She advises churches on how they can be of and provide vast support to caregivers. She also discusses the painful personal experience of when a church neglects to provide care and support to one of its own elderly members.
