Hi, and welcome to this episode of Sassin's Sips. Today we're talking about Good Girl Season 3, Episode 11, Synergy. I'm Lisa, and today I am sipping on Sangria.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna turn into a jar of sangria, and I will show you that. I sure hope so. I turned from alcoholic to dirty in 1.2 seconds. I mean duh. Hello, it's us. If it's not inappropriate, then what are we doing? What are we doing? Right. The fuck? That's our live. Hi guys, I'm Agnes, and I am drinking. I made my own brown sugar shake and espresso. Because I had the stuff here. Because I had the stuff in the house, and I didn't want to. I went out for breakfast. Then I went to meet, then I went to go hang out with the kids, the grandkids, and then I came home. I'm like, shit, I didn't go to Starbucks. And the shake and espresso, when I get it, the brown sugar shaking espresso with all my customizations like almost ten dollars. I'm like, slow your row, Agnes. You spent like$50 this week. Um, so slow your row. So I just made my own. No Bailey's. Oh, I have to adult. I have to adult later on today. Yeah, sucks ass.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm having company later, and I'm I'm gonna be tipsy before we start. So in that case, chuck a little bit. Lucky them.
SPEAKER_02As she's doing little chashay and shaking the boobies, shaking the boobies. Uh no bra right now. So you're gonna go. Well, let's see. Wait, let me get my little there you go. Angle. Oh you're gonna knock the computer across the room. They're not smaller. They got it's my chest are getting smaller. I mean, relatively to my size, I guess. I I guess I love my eyes.
SPEAKER_00You know what's getting smaller? My ass. And it and this is because of stress and losing weight, but my my pants, I notice it in my pants, and I'm like, wait, they're they're like falling because I don't have enough ass to hold them up anymore.
SPEAKER_02If we're gonna lose weight because of stress, which is yay stress, because you know, I I'm okay with that. Squats. I'm not doing squats, squats, yeah, I know. Give them a tone back.
SPEAKER_00So I've heard, but like, who's gonna turn into that?
SPEAKER_02You're listening busy trying to. I don't know which one, like I don't, I don't know which half of your genesse is gonna is it gonna come up until we get to the old age. You might be the Puerto Rican side, it might be the white side. You don't know.
SPEAKER_00So it's always it's always tended to be my dad's side.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so you have hope.
SPEAKER_00I'm done.
SPEAKER_02I'm not worried about it. I love that for us. I'm not worried about it.
SPEAKER_00During COVID, I went a little bit to the mom's side, but I think that also might have been like the party-sized bags of potato chips and sour cream every night of the week because I was homeschooling three children.
SPEAKER_02And the fact that when we recorded, we went through a bottle and a half each.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we were drinking a lot, a lot. And and not going anywhere, not doing anything. Going anywhere.
SPEAKER_02I mean, that was my life anyway. You know, I didn't that well COVID didn't change much for me. I was just like, oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00No, but COVID changed for me because I know it did. I was, I mean, I was working in a school, I was on my feet all day. I was uh in a school with four floors plus a basement, and my office was in the basement, so I was up and down stairs every day, you know, checking on the classes, checking on the kids and stuff, always on my feet. I I sat down only for about the first two or two and a half hours of my day, which was like the office stuff, and then the rest of my day was all like practical application. I was on my feet. I was checking on my staff, checking on the kids, in the gym playing with them. I was whatever. So it was very physical, and I don't want to be like, oh my god, I was in such good shape, but then to go from active, active, active to sit on S and stuff food in face was why I put on about 50 pounds that year, and I actually weighed more than during any of my pregnancies.
SPEAKER_02I did not know that.
SPEAKER_00I yes, in when I was pregnant, the most I weighed was like maybe 160. And during COVID, I hit the 170s.
SPEAKER_02And your pregnancy looks like a victim. Remember?
SPEAKER_00It did.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I so disclaimer. Remember earlier in the episode when I said if we're not inappropriate, then what are we doing? Just remember that. Okay. So doing COVID. Okay, so doing COVID, I want every listener to know every homebound disabled person, we felt we really everyone who was at home healthy. Let's start off with that. Those are at home healthy, and you know, us disabled people, we have no, we had no, we didn't care. We didn't have no mercy for the rest of you people. We're like, ha ha, how's the how you doing? Not good? Okay. So fucking what? Okay, I'm sorry. I just we did. We didn't care. We're like, oh, that must that that must suck for you.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm not gonna lie. Aside from the whole like disease outside that could kill you part of it, and having to homeschool, yeah, in a in a you know, we lived in New York City. You can guess my apartment was very big, so you know, we looked at the biggest. And it was bigger than most at that point, like it was, that's true, right? You know, it's it's five of us in a two-bedroom uh townhouse, which was not very big. That we didn't have like a yard or anything like that or a basement, but I don't mind being at home. I actually was okay with the being at home part, it was just the adjustment products of yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, some people lost their fucking minds because they couldn't get that fucking haircut.
SPEAKER_00Oh no. Last time I saw uh a beauty salon or a nail salon, I don't even remember. So, like for me, I didn't need any of that. Now, mind you, it was once it was open, I was good.
SPEAKER_02Now, mind you, I'm gonna put my little soapbox up. I'm gonna say this sentence and leave it alone. It was okay for those people to protest not getting a fucking haircut, but people protesting protesting civil rights is un-American. I am now walking away now.
SPEAKER_00Obviously, obvious. Come on, haircuts and exposing yourself and others to a potentially deadly disease is nothing. Okay, obviously, they're gonna protest because people need their haircut and uh pretty for their house, right? Come on, what's wrong with you? But um civil rights, civil rights, come on, we don't need those. That's what's the process.
SPEAKER_02Come on, Agnes, you need to get with it. I know, silly mean. People of color want civil rights, and people I know. I must have been out of my life.
SPEAKER_00I'm so sick and tired of hearing about people who just want their civil rights. My god, so sick and sick.
SPEAKER_02If you're just coming into listening, that was pure sarcasm on Lisa's part.
SPEAKER_00Just in case you haven't heard us before. Punch a fucking wall. Um right. Oh, so we are talking about I was told today that when I get on my soap stage, that it's a three-hour ordeal, and I'm not allowed to do that.
SPEAKER_02So I didn't say that. What I said was if the situation was different, you would have been on your soap stage. I didn't say you weren't. All I said was if things were differently, you would have been and then you said, and it would have taken three hours, and it would have been a three-hour request.
SPEAKER_00It would have been was I lying, probably not. Okay then, but that's irrelevant. The fact that I was a haircut during COVID. Listen, I can't afford a haircut not during COVID. You don't want to fuck the ladies of London too, okay? While we're on the topic of fucking things, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know why, but I'm mad now. Can we talk about good girls? Okay, so good girls. And my hot take is my godstand. Why do you have to give me a fucking heart attack in every goddamn episode? I can't take this kind of stress.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know. I was like so scared. I thought about you while as I was watching the episode. Now, I know you know I've seen it before, but it was like a hundred years ago, so it's like watching it new again for me. Okay. So I'm like, oh, Lisa's gonna, oh, I want to.
SPEAKER_00I know, I was like, I'm more upset than if my own husband walked out on me. You are definitely more upset. I tell him every day, you choose me. You wake up and you choose me. You deserve what you get.
SPEAKER_01You knew who I was when we first got together. I have not changed.
SPEAKER_00Still the crazy worse and crazier. Oh, you don't deserve this because you choose me every day. You stay. This is your punishment to get rid of you. People to keep me. Okay, I really do love my husband, I swear.
SPEAKER_01She really does.
SPEAKER_02And everyone who knows, I think people who really love one another, couples who are listening, who like, yeah, that's my husband. I love him with all my heart. That's my wife, I love her with all my heart. But they understand exactly where you're coming from. Wow. So that was your hat take. Did you give the name of this episode?
SPEAKER_00Oh, the episode is called Synergy. I think I did because, and then you were introducing yourself, and then we got off on this whole tangent about shaking espresso.
SPEAKER_02Tangent is nowhere near what we went on. We went on roller coaster.
SPEAKER_00Welcome to the theme park. We went on all the rides.
SPEAKER_01All the rides.
SPEAKER_00So before we start, worse than drinking decaf coffee. Go ahead. Uh-huh.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Thank you for two middle fingers. You're welcome. You're number one. I think that's number two because there's two of them. No, you're double number one.
SPEAKER_02Oh, double number one. Number one, number one. Yes. This is yes, this is the season finale. This is season three, season finale. And those who watched with us know this episode was kind of wonky for a season finale. It was. It didn't feel like a season finale. It wasn't the planned season finale. They cut off five episodes because of COVID. They had to stop recording. That is not production. So this was the so it was supposed to be 16 episodes in this season. That makes a lot of sense. We missed five episodes. But don't fear. That just means season four is gonna have some like okay, it's gonna start off with where it should have continued. So we're gonna start off running with season four.
SPEAKER_00Woo-hoo! Okay. All right, well, then that's it for this episode, and let's go. Just kidding.
SPEAKER_02That's my line. Sorry. Sorry. I'm always the one that I want to end early. I know. We've been on our recording for like 10 years this morning, and we've gone two minutes into the episode.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We've been here for 46 minutes. So those who have been if you're still listening to us, thank you.
SPEAKER_02All right, good girls. Come on. Good girls, synergy. Agent Hot Mess. What's her name? Who knows?
SPEAKER_00So Laura Laura Lapkiss, or whatever the fuck her name is.
SPEAKER_02Donegan. Agent Donnegan. She goes to get her nails did. And guess who? I don't does anyone want to guess who it might have been?
SPEAKER_00I mean, obviously, the whole episode starts off. Yeah. The whole episode starts off on like Ruby arriving at work and preparing, and then you see hands, and you're like, okay, well, obviously we know who these hands are gonna be.
SPEAKER_02We obviously know, yeah. Like anyone who's a professional TV watcher, like we are, we know where this is going.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think even my kids could have seen that. My my dog, Stella, was like, I know who that is.
SPEAKER_02Stella's a smart girl, though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, she is.
SPEAKER_02Um, she takes after her mama. This makes this is so if it wasn't the FBI agent looking for them, this would have been completely comical. Because the character, Agent Donnegan isn't like the girl to hang out and talk and build rapport with some people, and to have her try to build rapport with Ruby, who's just not feeling it to begin with. Like listen, it was one of us, we would have been like, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. We would have been friends with her. If it was you, yeah. If it was me, maybe after a few minutes. People who I need to make sure that people who are giving me services like me, okay? The fuck. We know, but I also I read vibes.
SPEAKER_00I read vibes, and and then people here like to be talking to talk to every little old lady in the supermarket. That's okay.
SPEAKER_02That's okay. So when I so, but you know what? When Ice wants to come and grab me because I'm the wrong color, I know the ladies at Owen H bakery, like uh uh no, no, no, those little old ladies like oh, that I hope so. They got my back. Okay, we switch. Oh, we take oh, we do like tips and different like nail tips. And like, okay, you do your nails like this. It's like, oh, and the next day, okay. She got went on vacation, did my nails look like you told me to. Yes, these little old ladies and I have buddies. So when ice comes for me, I'm gonna make sure no matter where I'm at, I'm gonna have friends. I'm like, oh no, this bitch is white, white, she's black, white, she's the right kind of black.
SPEAKER_01And I never thought I would want to hear that, but but in the in today's world, I'm okay with that.
SPEAKER_02FYI, the right kind of black, is racist as fuck. In case you guys did not know that. But in today's world, it might save my life. Listen, it might save my life. I know I'd rather be dead. You know, I'd rather not be picked up by ice. I mean, well, then there's that.
SPEAKER_00You know, but again, again, why are we talking about civil rights? Come on, silly me. Silly you, they they're stupid.
SPEAKER_02Who needs them? So then Agent Donegan, she pays for her nails. She's like, What did what's the name of the color, the red? Go red to go home. Uh yeah, some shit like that. She's like, Okay, she knows that's the name of the color. She's like, Oh, oh, okay. She pays, did she pay the whole thing for$10 bill? That's that part of the payment. Because I'm like, where can I get a manicure for$10?
SPEAKER_00Um, I'm thinking that was probably like for a tip, because you know that they make you pay before they put the polish on. When you go wash your hands, that's when they make you pay. Not my because they're not stupid.
SPEAKER_02Oh no. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Well, was that not how they do or is that only how they do it in New York?
SPEAKER_02Maybe, maybe, because actually by time I think by my third trip, I was I haven't the guy, Chris and I both had our own kits. So they knew we were they once they give you your kit, they know you're gonna pay.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, but it's not that, it's it's that your nails are gonna be wet. So how or or painted, so how are you gonna dig in your purse?
SPEAKER_02Oh, we always got acrylics. So the red with it the the the the and gel polish. So gel you're never getting wet. The gel light. I don't know. And after you pay, they're like, they know they're gonna they know they're getting their money. They're like, this bitch. No, I know you're getting that money.
SPEAKER_00But but they always but they you always pay before they polish.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. Interesting. Maybe it's been a long time since I had regular nail polish, so I can't remember that far back. Back in my day.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I've I've done gel a couple of times. You still pay before you they polish.
SPEAKER_02I've never had a pay before I I got finished.
SPEAKER_00That's because you live in fucking Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_02Wisconsin. No, but even no, even I when I lived in Jersey, I never paid before. I paid afterwards. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Maybe I look troublesome.
SPEAKER_02You look true. I was gonna say that you look suspect.
SPEAKER_00Like this bitch.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know. Like, she's probably gonna say, you look like a Karen in training. So they're like they were so with the$10 bill, Ruby holds it up in the light and she's checking it. And the agent was like, Oh, you've been checking$10 bills. You're like, you'll be surprised. She's like, Well, how can you tell? She's like, Well, this is the usual stuff, like the strip and the hologram. But you see, this right like she was getting too detailed, yeah. Really, I mean, to be fair, but honestly, people who work and were dealing with money, you're not actually that detailed. We we know so I don't think there's anything she's looking for her to be suspicious, so she's gonna find things.
SPEAKER_00You, me, we dealt with like I remember-I mean, I know how to check money by feel, and for the most part, I'm pretty good at it. Like, I don't need to pen. I know, like, there are certain things that you can touch on the bill where you know if it's right or wrong, right or wrong. And if somebody were to be like, oh, what are you looking for? I would tell them because I'm not thinking much of it, right? I'm just gonna tell so I I in in that respect, it's not just necessarily odd that she's like crazy. No, it's not, but but the fact that she went in deep on a ten dollar bill is a little bit more fishy than if it was a 20 or 50 hundred.
SPEAKER_0220 or 50, yeah, right. And it's also fishy that Adrian Donovan is awkward as fuck. Yeah, I don't think I would have even I probably would have had a conversation with her to be quite frankly. To be to be quite frank. Wow. Ernest and Frank. Those are two names I use. Let me stop. You ever seen Law Kids Good Night? No. Regina Davis?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02And Samuel L. Jackson? No. Okay, never mind. Those who watched it know what I'm talking about. Ruby goes to get change from the$10 bill, and she leaves her purse open. You and I both know what happened before we even got to the f the subsequent scenes. We're like, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Which, first of all, why is your uh in a in a drawer or like in a lock? Out on the table open. Right. Thank you. Where anybody can grab it. Also, come on, Ruby. Fucking rookie mistake. Side note, side note.
SPEAKER_02If my phone was missing that long, let's say more than like a half hour, I would have been called and turned that shit off. So she wouldn't have been able to go through my phone. Like, I'm like, oh, my phone's stolen, turn it off and just get a new one.
SPEAKER_00And even after she got a new one, they can still yeah, you can't you all your stuff is still in there. You just can't access like the service, but everything that's in there is still in there.
SPEAKER_02No, turn the phone off. Turn the phone off, shut it off remotely. No, but you need to do that.
SPEAKER_00Shut my shit down in TV world, maybe. No, but honestly, I have a first of all. I would notice as soon as I got in my car that I didn't have my phone.
SPEAKER_02Because my phone, my my radio had turned on. I have a question for you.
SPEAKER_00Wait, well, not when I download my car is not that advanced, but well question I would know because I check.
SPEAKER_02When I get a new phone, I always say, like, it takes it from my old phone and brings it to my new phone. And my old phone's usually uh is it is it? No, I have to do a m I have to do a master reset, I had to do a manufactured reset. That's right. Okay, yes, okay, good night. I'm done. My brain is shut down. This is what happens when I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the data is still stored in in the phone. But if they need to turn it off, you just can't use like so you can't call out. You can't, you know, you can't.
SPEAKER_02And the question why wasn't there a lock on it? Why does she have a lock on it?
SPEAKER_00She did.
SPEAKER_02She had a lock on it.
SPEAKER_00She did. And remember, and the other agent said it only took me 22 hours and a case of people.
SPEAKER_02That's right, she did. Break in. Shit, my phone would have been dead by then. My phone, my battery would have been gone. That's true.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but then charged it. Um, so the next thing we have phone charges in every gas station. I'm just no, it's funny that I'm like, good luck and try like just when I get the password, the battery dies.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, my phone's like six years old. Dean and Beth may Make Gail an offer she can't refuse.
unknownI'm angry.
SPEAKER_02I didn't have to say that. And yet, to they made her offer to buy the pool and spa, the pool and spa store. Say that three times fast, because I can't. So she's a little like confused and like bewildered and perplexed and perturbed. But Dean did Dean did his homework. Dean is pretty good with his homework. When he wants to focus on what he has to do, he's pretty good at what he has to do. And Beth, low-key, kind of like low-key, high key, lets Gail know that she knows. And then she gives her two options. Either Gail can bow out discreetly, or she can still bow out, but everyone else would know. And your whole family's gonna know. The outcome would still be the same, but want to be a little bit more messy. Ruby stressed the fuck out because she can't find her phone. Annie goes, you check your pocket. She goes, You think I didn't check my pocket? And she goes, uh, I thought I thought Ruby was going to kill Annie when she said that. They act more like sisters.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02With the bands being back and forth. Beth does the the delivery with Rio. And he asks her, um, so how's her system going? She said, her tubs are like mattresses. Brands aren't apple to apple, so prices can vary, which means her boss can say anything. So Rio then tells her the good news. I say that jokingly. So Rio goes, you're gonna wash everything on your end. She goes, but my system is just for me. And he goes, Synergy. So he's gonna get the cut, he's gonna get all the profit, and she's gonna just get her little tiny cut and still do the making of the bills and the washing of the bills, and she still gets her little 5%, 10%, whatever percentage that she's getting. And question, where is Andrew McCartney at? Like, where is I don't know, but he's definitely still submitting his bills. Right. Oh, oh yeah. I actually like the the Rastapasta from Rainbow Forest. It's actually pretty damn good. That's what he got. That's what he that was on his report. You never had it?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02It's pretty damn good. Stan is pissed, and this is when Lisa was going to have a heart attack. Um, Stan is pissed that Ruby used their shady side money, hustle money to do good, and she used it to buy the donor family a new car. He goes, It's not that you did it, it's not that you did it. You didn't even talk to me about it. And she goes, I knew you were gonna say no. And the fact that she said that was kind of funny.
SPEAKER_00Like, huh? Yeah, I don't listen, I I don't really blame her because she was afraid that he was gonna say no and she didn't want to give him a chance, but then that's exactly what he was mad at. And I'll be honest, I am partial to both sides of that coin because there are things where I'm like, yeah, I'm just gonna do it and I'm not gonna because I don't want somebody to say no to me. But then if the situation was reversed, I'd be like, shit, I'd be mad if that was and I don't think what makes it even each of them, right?
SPEAKER_02No, I think what makes it even sadder if there was a conversation and she would have been like, yo, homegirl black mostly blackmailing us for a car. Like, what do we do? I think he would have like, fuck. I guess we he might not have been happy with it, but he's like, fuck it. Yeah, he would have done the same thing, but it's just the idea, don't give me, just give me a chance. I don't know. As my worst thing, I wouldn't do this. Is what I do. I don't do something and ask for permission later. I do the by the way, hun, this is what happened, and this is what I'm doing as I'm taking the money. I'm telling you, I'm doing it. I'm not asking you for like in this situation, like if it's one of those things that has to get done and it's not up for discussion. I told you I didn't hide it from you, but this is what's happening. Kind of like my whole yes, Sons of Anarchy conversation. I just Lisa, I just also reminds me of I like that song. Thank you. Next, I'm so fucking grateful for my ex. Okay. Ruby's pissed because he wants his money and he wants it, he wants the money returned like replaced now. And the funny thing is, I how do you think she's gonna how's that gonna happen?
SPEAKER_00But anyway, so Ruby, so they're trying to figure out fucked up because he he was like, pay me back. It wasn't like pay us back, it was pay me back.
SPEAKER_02Yes, that's how pissed he was because that's not like that's not stan-ish at all. So, with the new information that Beth shared with the ladies about Rio's synergy. I'm sorry, I don't know why I find that so funny. They're trying to figure out like, so what are we gonna do? How are we gonna get the money? How are we gonna wash it? What are we gonna do? We need the money, we need the money now, we don't have time to do with the like jibs and drabs. We're pissed as fuck uh while Stan spoke with her, spoke to her, so she suggests robbing Stan's job. Beth is like, couples therapy might be a better option than Grand Larceny, uh, because they're stealing from an armor truck. Of course, they have no other options, and they're gonna move forward with it. Now, mind you, the girls are getting good at this criminal shit. They do their recon. They look at that who she's switching with, all that other good stuff, what tie. And Ruby does what a woman does, she uses her cooking as a rub as a weapon. I feel that. That's right.
SPEAKER_00We've got a lot of either a sex or food collective sleeves.
SPEAKER_02Yep. And they don't, and guys don't even know. They think it's food and sex, but baby, that's just the very tip of the very, very big iceberg. So she distracts him by eating. Beth distracts the armor car driver.
SPEAKER_01Like, have you had the chicken Caesar salad here? Like, what? That's what my husband said. He's here to eat. He's here at this place for a source salad.
SPEAKER_02Like, so out comes um, what's her name? Annie, with the bags of money to switch off. And it's not really the real money, it's the fake money. The armor car guy gives her the other money. They put that money in the trunk. Good times I had by it all. But before this, I forgot to mention Beth is actually doing a science experiment experiment with the kids. One of the sons, I don't remember son, because yeah, I don't remember any of the kids' names.
SPEAKER_00Unnamed.
SPEAKER_02They're just one big kid. Yeah, they're one big group of four kids. Like they sit in a trench coat.
SPEAKER_00I can picture it. I'm so glad she got that. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Like Alvin and the chipmunk style.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_02Um, so because of science, Beth has this wonderful idea, and this is why they did the armor car switch this way. They're not robbing the armor car, they do a little switcheroo and put a little something special in the bag of counterfeit money. Eventually, Stan, like, I gotta go. I'll eat the Brussels bots when I get back. Kyle is waiting, and she goes, You can't go. And the look on his face was like, Yeah, you have to do shit again.
SPEAKER_00But I was so confused, I have to tell you. And I don't know if it's because like I missed something leading up to this, but I was very confused because the guy hunks, and Stan is supposed to bring out the money for the armored car and then take the new money, or the like the change or whatever. The change, like whatever they they request.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, the money they requested from the bank, yes. Right.
SPEAKER_00So I I was like, okay, but Ruby's keeping him back there while Annie is making the switch because Annie pretends like she comes out the door, she's like, Stan is sick, I'm from corporate. Yeah, Annie, they sent you, sure. But anyway, and so in my head, I'm like, but then when Annie walks in with those bags, or like Stan's gonna be like, Where did you get the bags from? And how did like they didn't take the old bags, right? Or Stan's gonna go out to bring the car, and then the car is gonna have left. Like, I was so confused because I was like, obviously, Stan is gonna know something happened. So why didn't Ruby just but it then, but then like as I went through it in my head, I was like, okay, this is I guess why she's trying to delay him so that when she does tell him it's already too late. I don't know. I was just I was very confused about how this was all gonna work, and then it wasn't until when he goes out because he's like, Oh, I I just need to check something, like the deposit slips, and then he opens the bag and you see like the foil, and you're like, Oh now, I so I don't know if it was just me, but I was so confused.
SPEAKER_02So you really weren't supposed to get it in dribs and drafts until you saw that. So you're not really wrong, you're supposed to like slowly get it, like uh-huh, uh-huh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So it wasn't because I so because I thought I thought the original plan was that they were sending the fake money to the bank and then gonna keep the real money, and they did keep the real money, yes, and they did kind of send the fake money to the bank, but yeah.
SPEAKER_02But right, it never made it.
SPEAKER_00But in my head, I was like, but then how are they gonna right, but how are they gonna explain that? And now, and then afterwards I was like, oh, they took it up, they elevated, you know, like they elevated Ramsey, they elevated. He doesn't know he's my friend, just just FYI. Like, if you see him, okay, just don't be like, okay, how's Lisa?
SPEAKER_02Because he's gonna be like, who Beth now goes back to Gail and she try to get she tries to get Gail to sign the agreement, but um Gail is alluding to the fact that Dean did tell her the whole story, and then she's like, Oh, this isn't the first time. I'm not the first, am I? That's what she says. She goes, Well, should I just hold on to this? Talking about the check, and Beth is like, I'll take that, and she snatches it back. Stan gets home, we'll go back to Ruby and Stan. Stan gets home, and he asks Ruby what she did with the money, and boom, Stan is paid back. And he's like, You stole from me to pay me back.
SPEAKER_03And that's it.
SPEAKER_02She's like, right, he's like, I stole from your job, it's a difference. This wasn't coming out of your page, you know. But she's like, What else am I gonna do? So they're at each other's throat again, and this and this is the second time Lisa has a little heart paltations because she's like, Oh my god, my happy family's breaking up, like my parents can't divorce. This is she's like, I can't go through this.
SPEAKER_00I know, but his stand was so mad, like he was just so not talking to her, and then I don't know, can I skip ahead? And then, like, at one point, when when actually maybe it's the same part, right? When she was like, I paid it back, and blah blah blah. And and then he puts oh no, it's not the same part.
SPEAKER_02No, no, but that that happens later. That happens later when things are yeah, when things when Lisa doesn't have a heart attack, when she feels better, right?
SPEAKER_00Because the whole episode, he is just being so cold to her, and I'm just like, oh my god, dude, you can't leave her.
SPEAKER_02The next thing, this episode has a lot, it wasn't a lot of drama, but it was a lot of interpersonal, like people, a lot of relationships on this episode. And I like and I enjoyed that for this episode. Beth is back at home, and she asked him, Did you ever sleep with Gail? He looked, would you have would you have slept with him? And he was brutally honest. Would you have, yeah. And he was trying to avoid the question.
SPEAKER_00She has this perfume. Which is already he was, but yeah, which was already in.
SPEAKER_02He was really honest. He was he goes, Well, she has this perfume, and she's talking about her breast and her butt, and he's like, I would have. And the fact that he was so honest, she and I think that was the moment I was like, that's what she wanted to hear. That's what she needed to hear to because yeah, he didn't have to be that honest. And that fact that he didn't have to be, and he was, that's why she's like, Okay, fuck this bitch. I got something for her.
SPEAKER_00Right. Because basically, it was like, yeah, when we weren't doing good, I would have. But even in this situation, he was the one who had the situation, stopped the situation, and came home and told her. And I think that Beth can't be like, And told her.
SPEAKER_02And the fact that she even yeah, because she this was just proof that the bitch was lying, Gail was just trying to be a was lying about he didn't tell you everything that happened between right. Like she was making it seem like they actually did everything. Yeah, because she was like, Oh, well, if he was honest about what happened, and and I like the fact that she didn't ask him, Did she sleep with them? She asked him, would you have? And that and him being so honest about it when he didn't have to be was proof that Gail was a lying cunt and she's gonna make her pay for it. Why is she looking at me like I'm crazy? What?
SPEAKER_01I see, no, I see it.
SPEAKER_00I've heard the same face you did, like, huh? I don't like Gail. Gail's a fucking bitch, and she deserves everything that she's gonna get. She is.
SPEAKER_02I felt everything she gets. Rio's right-hand man comes for the pickup, and Beth asks him, like, um, I need a favor. He goes, Aren't you like you still haven't? She's like, No. She said, When you stole my furniture, we need someone, we need some, we need to take your furniture. And she's like, the fuck. She said, How did you get it? Hypothetically, allegedly. Allegedly. She's like, How did you do it? And the next day you see Gail on the phone with the police and the insurance. The police are behind and insurance. And gee, we honestly we already know how that was gonna happen. It's the spa, the place is completely cleared the fuck out. Yep. And she goes, Oh, I was going to have you sign these papers, but uh okay, and she writes a check. She's like, What about she's like, this is not the what we agreed upon? She's like, Well, I don't think it'd be fair to buy a spa place without any spas. That wouldn't be fair now, would it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because the amount that she was asking before they they never say the amount, but obviously it was a lot. And it was just about merchandise and everything. Right. And so now Beth figured it out how to screw over Gail and get the store at a discount.
SPEAKER_02Um, now to the best part of the show for Lisa's benefit. Ruby's getting away from the stuff for for it was amazing. That was brilliant. Like Beth is getting it. She's getting the logistics of being a criminal, not the the dirty work of being a criminal. She's I don't think that's ever gonna be her.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I know, and and I know what your favorite scene was. Well, we're not there yet. Are you frozen?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm trying to think. I don't know. I don't know if it was a favorite scene. Um, it was kind of there's one line that was like, yeah, good line. Ruby tells the kids to get ready for church. She's like, Oh, we're not going to church. She says who? Jesus? She's like, Dad, which you know, same difference, you know. Same difference, same difference. And he's going. He is. He what did he say they're going? Rumper card? Wait, go-karting. Where are they going? Go-karting. I want to take the kids. I can't wait until the kids get older and I'm taking them out of school to go go-karting. That's my plan. Like, I'm doing all that shit. Um, yeah, I said it. Okay. Um, and he's in a good mood, and he takes money out of the jaw. She goes, What are you doing with that? He goes, give it out to people who need it. Like, and he's all happy and jovial and yeah, them. Well, well, yeah. And then he takes the ring and put it in front of her. He goes, he goes, I'm giving you one more time, one more chance to take this motherfucking ring. That ring was gorgeous. It was a pretty ring.
SPEAKER_00It was it was my style, and I'm not, you know, I'm not a big flashy jewelry person, but that ring, like I don't even wear my ring, but that ring was beautiful.
SPEAKER_02You should get tattoo rings since you don't wear rings.
SPEAKER_00I would um then what happens when he finally does leave me?
SPEAKER_02You could just make uh, you know what? You could make roses, they make it into like roses. Uh I don't even like roses, but Agnes and put Agnes and Lisa around the way. Um she takes the ring and she's looking at the ring. She's like, Okay, kids, get dressed. We're going, we're gonna card. Like, and I I I love this for you, Lisa, because hope is not lost. There's still love in the world. Makes me happy. Beth is next scene. Beth is doing a walkthrough with Rio. She goes, I know it doesn't look like much now, but you know, we'll get it back together. Uh I mean we'll get it the merchandise back in. She asks him, she asks him, when does it get to be mine? Like, this is my like when is it mine? When am I fucking done with your ass? He goes, Next time empty the clip. I was just like, I like that line. And the season ends out. We close the season with the ladies in the park bench celebrating, still waiting for Hitman guy to come through. Right. And then you have awkward agent jumping in place, saying, Hey, what are they? Ruby's like, who the fuck are you? Like, I don't know who the fuck you are. She's like, go ready, go home. She's like, Oh yeah. She's like, So what are you guys celebrating?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because they were pouring a little booze in their cups. And they're just look, what's her name? Beth just looks at Ruby like, what the fuck is this? Like, uh-huh. And she's still jogging in place, being all awkward and shit. In case you can't tell listening, I am faux jogging in place.
SPEAKER_00Did you talk about your favorite line? Enter the clip. No. Oh, I thought that was no that was my favorite line. Oh, because when when they're when Beth and Rio are walking through the hot tub store, oh about and he's like, okay, he goes, Yeah, um, uh something about I'm gonna come in and uh and and try one out or whatever. And he she was like, Okay, you know, like we can get you a good deal, or blah blah blah blah. Like, and he's like, You want to join me? And she completely ignores it. And then he's like, I don't want one of these, they're breeding grounds for diseases. This episode He was just trying to test if she still likes just to see like can he can he still get it? And she completely just thwarted his ignorance.
SPEAKER_02I forgot about that. Yeah, I thought that that's what uh no the whole point where he said next time you do the clip. I'm like, next time I will. Honestly, I probably would have. But anyway, this episode, as I was saying earlier, has a lot to do with relationships. Ruby and Stan being the obvious. But their love for one another and their commitment is genuine. They talk it out, they fight. I don't know though how without it completely breaking, but I have hope that it's gonna be okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, we didn't get anything about Annie and anyone on her Beth No.
SPEAKER_02Because that's what we there's enough of Annie. Beth Dean, you once again see, like, are they madly in love with one another? No, who might be still in love with her. They're trying, they're being honest, and they didn't have that before. Honesty wasn't part of the relationship, season one, episode one. And it's like the hard, it is kind of like the more they're getting into this life of crime in the odd way, it's strengthening their relationships. It's really testing them. This is testing Stan and Ruby's, and it really calls for Dean and Beck to be honest with one another, which in effect is straightening their partnership, may not the relationship romantically as a man, but as a partnership, they're working together. And um that's it, that's all I have to say. See you guys next week. Bye.
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah, I don't have anything else. Um, I'm glad that you explained about the whole season finale thing and the and the losing the episodes because I really didn't realize I was watching a season finale until after I watched, and then they're like, season four, and I'm like, wait, what did I miss something? Because it really did not feel like a finale. And no one was handing Beth a gun or or pointing a gun in Beth's. So, like, how could it really be a season finale?
SPEAKER_02Hopefully, by episode five of next season, because that would have been 16. Hopefully, that they give her a gun in that episode. So we're gonna look for, I don't know if that happens or not. Honestly, I don't know. But Mitsu Note, Lisa, Agnes, Agnes, Lisa, episode five, season four. Let's hope that someone's handing her a gun.
unknownWe'll see.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, I don't have anything else on this. Neither me. And um, visit sassinsips.com for all the ways. Don't drink and drive, drink responsibly. And until next time, I'm Lisa. And I'm Agnes, and we're out of here. See you later. Bye.
