Speaker 1:

Today, we'll be talking about leveling up. So let's first define what does it mean to level up? Simply put, it means to improve your current situation into a way that feels like a powerful shift, and it starts with a change in thought, a shift in mindset, belief in yourself that is followed by brave action, and the fuel and the energy that drives all of it is passion. So today, let's talk about your ability to change your thoughts. You know, when we think about certain situations in our lives and we feel that it's negative, or we look back and we have mixed emotions, what's happening is we are bringing that situation closer to us and into reality. In order for us to change our thinking and shift our mindset, it really takes first the belief that we need to make such a change. And then the reason why. Sometimes people say that if your why doesn't make you cry, it is not big enough. So I'm going to ask you what is your why? Do you really want to level up in your life? Do you want to make some changes that are tangible, that will show that you're making progress? And are you brave enough to start to do it? Well, my friends, I believe that you are brave enough and I believe that you have everything that you need to make the change on the inside of you. Maybe it's dormant right now, but it is there and it exists. What is the fuel that you need, in the energy that is required to get you to a place of passion? How can we get you there so that you can level up?

Speaker 1:

You know, nelson Mandela said there is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one that you are capable of living. So do you believe that? Do you believe that, whatever your circumstances are right now, that it doesn't have to be the end story of your life, it's never too late to make a change? There are so many people who, in their 50s or 60s, started something that went through the roof, so it is never too late. So what are you going to do to level up? That's going to be your homework. Give me at least three things that you are going to do to level up. They need to be three tangible acts that you are going to take in the next seven to fourteen days to level up.

Speaker 1:

And yes, it does say that you need to take brave action, and so when we suffer from a mental illness, it's difficult for us to feel brave. We just don't feel brave. But guess what? Each and every day that you get up and your eyes open and you face the day, knowing that at some point in time during the day you may not feel that your best, but you still get up, you still start putting one foot in front of the other. That is bravery, my friend. So never underestimate how brave you are. You are still here. You have almost made it to the end of 2023 and I'll tell you, some people just didn't make it for a variety of reasons. So you should celebrate. You are a winner and it is not impossible For you to level up your life. So in 2024 let that be a mantra I am going to level up in 2024.

Speaker 1:

I won't look back. I'm going to keep pushing and moving forward. I'm not going to listen to the naysayers. I'm going to bet on myself. I'm going to believe that I can achieve. I'm going to accept whatever blessings come my way. The people that cross my path will not just be coming into my life for Just happenstance. They're going to be coming into my life for a reason and I will receive everything that is going to be set before me.

Speaker 1:

I am going to start 2024 with an entirely different Mindset. I'm no longer going to worry about what has happened in the past. I'm going to focus all of my energy On what is going to be different. I'm not going to worry about the people who let me down. I'm not going to expect people to deliver for me what they are not capable of delivering. I am going to put one foot in front of the other. I'm not going to look back in my rear view mirror and I'm going to move my life forward.

Speaker 1:

I am going to be careful, purposeful and intentional About managing my mental health. I'm going to take it seriously. I'm going to start eating the foods that are good for me, and I know that three of them that will help me manage my depression better are almonds, salmon and avocados. I am going to incorporate those three foods into my diet. I've been told that eating sugar perpetuates depression, and I am going to reduce the amount of sugar that I intake by 50 to 75 percent Because I want to feel better. I deserve to feel better and this year is going to be the year that was designed Just for me. I believe it and receive it.

Speaker 1:

So what are you going to do? I have given you a charge. Are you going to write down the steps that you need to take in order to catapult your life to the next level? We are talking about leveling up. We are talking about moving outside of our comfort zone and into the zone where magic happens. The magic happens when we are outside of our comfort zone. I am going to remember that I cannot be complacent if I want things to be different and better in 2024.

Speaker 1:

I am going to make a concerted effort to visualize what my level up life will look. I'm going to visualize it because I know that nothing is as important as passion and no matter what I do in my life, I need to become passionate. I am going to purge those people who do not bring joy into my life, those people who do not encourage me. I'm going to be more purposeful about the people that I allow into my circle of influence, and I am going to not only make a difference in the life of myself. I'm going to do what I need to do to help other people around me make a difference in their life as well, and I never want to end my podcast without thanking you so very much for listening.

Speaker 1:

As we look forward to 2024, let us realize that it is going to be bright and it is going to be the best year of our lives. Do you believe that? I hope that you do, because I certainly do, and, as always, I believe in you. Remember, giving up is never an option. You can find when Over Depression on Facebook, instagram.
