Wellness From Within: Nurturing Gut Health
Oct 11, 2023 Season 13 Episode 3
New Home Star, Morgan Glodowski

Do you suffer from brain fog, sluggishness, anxiety, bloating, or constipation? Do you tend to get sick easily? These symptoms might sound wide-ranging and unrelated, but in reality they could all be traced back to poor gut health. As real estate professionals, we may not realize that the stress of our busy jobs might be making some of these symptoms worse. The gut is actually linked to almost all functions in or body, including 80% of our immune function. In this episode, I talk to Morgan Glodowski of Moksha Embodied, who helps simplify gut health and make small but effective changes that can greatly improve our gut balance.

Morgan is not just your ordinary registered nurse and integrative health practitioner. She seamlessly integrates the profound benefits of breath work and intuitive bodywork into her holistic approach. Recognizing that immune and gut health often require addressing emotional aspects, Morgan collaborates with her online health coaching clients to go beyond the physical realm. In addition to employing root-cause lab testing and tailored protocols, Morgan empowers her clients by guiding them through informative breath work and somatic release exercises. By combining these elements, individuals can effectively rewire neural pathways, finally breaking free from stagnant patterns and achieving lasting wellness.

In this conversation we discuss:

  • How the health of our gut affects all parts of our wellness
  • The gut’s connection to our immune system, nervous system, and brain
  • How chronic stress response prevents us from digesting properly, leading to overgrowth in the gut
  • What is leaky gut and how we can strengthen our gut lining through reducing inflammation
  • Seemingly “healthy” foods that might be damaging to our gut
  • The role of probiotics and prebiotics, and the cautions of supplementation
  • How to shift the body into a parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” state

For this week’s practice, I encourage you to curate some mindfulness and sit in gratitude before meals, to ease your body into a resting state while eating.
