CIO's Top of Mind Today: Cyber, Automation, Innovation, People - sourcing and finding the right people.
Enterprise Architecture: what does a CIO look for EAs to do? A good EA will build a robust architecture, an architecture that is flexible enough to manage opportunities and also secure and liable enough.
How doe we achieve a flexible yet robust architecture?
How the grocery store chain used and execute on the EA's architecture example.
What does Enterprise Architecture departments doing wrong, not doing so well? People who not try to fit in, create their own bureaucracy. Be part of the business, the project early! Instead creating their own architecture board committee.
Do EAs struggle to express the importance of enterprise architecture?
CIO and the EA need to understand how the business make money, how they run the processes? Be able to have conversations from the how side that business people do care about. Then they don't need to prove their values.
How standards can compromise the business?
How do EAs make sure their work is aligned with the CIOs' agenda and mission? An EA should be able to articulate what is broken, what the wholes are in the systems, what needs to be cleaned up and make it robust.
How to be successfull as an enterprise architect?
