Engineering Change is the podcast designed to help REDEFINE engineering as we know it by: RE-imaging who we see as engineers and what we see as engineering, DE-siloing academic programs and problem solving, and FINE-tuning culture and climate using best practices for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) so people from all backgrounds and identities can succeed. It's about being just as intentional with JEDI as we are with solving any other problems in engineering; applying a carefully planned, iterative process that includes the stakeholders from problematization through ideation, evaluation and ultimately, selecting the best solutions. Each episode leaves the audience with strategies you can put into practice wherever you are in the process of ENGINEERING CHANGE.

Can you believe it? We are celebrating one year of Engineering Change! Our first episode launched on May 20, 2020, and our first guest interview with Dr. Sossena Wood released on June 4. It's amazing how time flies. In the past year, we have released 19 episodes, our audience has expanded globally to over 50 countries, and we have you to thank for it. So I pause now to say THANK YOU and to applaud all of our guests, our audience members, and our team members who have made this possible.

We will be launching Season three on Wednesday, June 16 with a look back over the past year, capturing some of our most memorable moments from Seasons 1 and 2. Upcoming episodes will feature conversations with leaders from the Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and American Indian Science and Engineering Society about their efforts through the 50K Coalition. We'll speak with the President of the Association for Environmental Engineering and Science Professors about their efforts toward change, and with author Dr. Terri Whitley Jackson about her new book, Chocolate Covered Nut, and her journey navigating STEM Education and the workforce while managing mental health difficulties. We'll continue with our special features, "You Ask, We Answer" and "The Soapbox," where we address issues you've inquired about and those that are hot buttons.
