In this episode, I am having a conversation with Katie Kuperman,  a captivating author who writes with intent and purpose to make her readers feel, learn, and do. Situated in Toronto, Canada, she lives with her family and is the owner and principal copywriter of Striking Content, a content writing, and strategizing business. Her life is rich with a breadth of experiences ranging from competitive sport and travel to academics and entrepreneurship, to motherhood and the pursuit of dreams.

Passionate, driven, and skilled, with an inquisitive attitude and a lifelong commitment to
learning, Katie seeks to craft stories that connect and resonate deeply with their
audiences. It is Katie’s hope and vision that, through her writing, she may be the ink that
dots the lives of others in a positive, meaningful, and memorable way. A passionate author and entrepreneur from Toronto, dedicated to crafting stories that resonate deeply with audiences. She has written a gripping novel about bullying and mental health in high school, inspired by the tragic story of Amanda Todd.

"The Only Way Out" is a compelling narrative that delves into the harsh realities of bullying and mental health issues among high school students. This poignant tale, inspired by the tragic story of Amanda Todd, follows the lives of two best friends, Kaitlyn and Rebecca, as they navigate the treacherous waters of high school. Their journey takes a dark turn when Rebecca becomes the target of a relentless bully, leading to a series of devastating events that remain hidden from those closest to her. The aftermath of a tragic incident forces Kaitlyn into a battle with post-traumatic stress syndrome and depression, pushing her into a world of isolation.

However, a transformative experience propels her towards a path of healing and advocacy, revealing that speaking up is indeed, the only way out. This book serves as a valuable resource for educators aiming to foster crucial conversations about bullying and mental health in the classroom. A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the Amanda Todd Legacy Society, furthering the cause of education and support for those grappling with bullying and mental health issues.
