EP 30: HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS & OUR EATING DISORDERS
Show Notes

I'm sharing my personal insight into a disordered relationship with food and lots and lots of research to illustrate that we are not alone in this regard. I delve into the research surrounding Dietitians, Doctors & Nurses but I think it's relevant no matter what discipline you work in. If you're not a HCP, you probably know someone who is so today's episode is still worth a listen.

You might assume that dietitians always eat healthy. I assumed this too, and felt pressured to do so, so I tried (a million times) to give up sweet things, and I binged every. single. time. Healthcare professionals struggle with our relationship with food too. Unfortunately, it's a massive taboo, afterall, we are the ones who are supposed to be helping others. If you are a HCP and you binge eat, I'm with you - I understand the shame and guilt that surrounds the big mess that is binge eating.
