Choosing Courage Over Comfort
Show Notes

In this episode I share why it's important to choose courage over comfort and how you can do that.

The root of the word courage is cor – the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage meant “To speak one's mind by telling all one's heart.” Over time, this definition has changed, and today, we typically associate courage with heroic and brave deeds.

Equally as epic as physical courage is moral courage - the ability to act on your ethics at the risk of being trolled, humiliated and embarrassed.

New York Times bestselling author  Dr. Brené Brown in her Netflix special Brené Brown: The Call To Courage,  discusses how to choose courage over comfort in a time and culture of fear and uncertainty.

She starts every day by putting her feet on the floor and saying, “Today I will choose courage over comfort. I can’t make any promises for tomorrow, but today I will choose to be brave.”

I share five ways you can become more courageous:

1. Join a cause bigger than you
2. Lean into your identity
3. 20 Seconds of insane courage
4. Do something scary once a week
5. Courage is contagious

If you’re ready to learn how to live a bold, epic life, you have to decide that your dreams are more important than your fears. Our Inspire Club reopens in March! List is open  here.
