Ruut DeMeo is a multidisciplinary artist and creative leader with over 20 years of experience in the arts and education. She has released nine independent albums, with her music featured in award-winning films and television. Born in Finland and shaped by early travels through Eastern Europe, Ruut began composing at a young age and developed a distinct, self-taught voice. She holds an MFA from Antioch University and is currently writing a novel inspired by Finland’s mythic epic, The Kalevala. Through her nonprofit, Making Her Mark, she empowers women artists nationwide with fellowships, workshops, and creative gatherings.
