Should You Still Use ManyChat for Ads in 2026? My Honest Take.

Kwadwo [QUĀY.jo] Sampany-Kessie

I get this question a lot, especially with all the changes coming into 2026: should you still be running ads to ManyChat, or is it time to move on?

I share when ads to a ManyChat-connected Instagram Reel still make sense, and when you’re better off sending traffic to a website opt-in or an instant form instead. I also talk through how tracking, testing, and having the right follow-up in place matter way more than the tool itself.

The big takeaway is simple: use what’s already working organically, then test your options so you’re not guessing with your ad spend.

As an online course creator, should you still be in 2026 running Facebook and Instagram ads to a mini chat connected Instagram Reels post? Is there a better way to get leads and or sales? And what objective should you choose inside of Meta Ad Manager so that your ads work the best? We're gonna cover that right now. So, yes, you should be running Facebook and Instagram ads to your post that's connected to mini chat if that post is already converting for you organically. So this is not the thing to try first if you haven't started already posting reels connected to mini chat. And of course, you do want, I was having this talk with a client that I was coaching because I do one-on-one Facebook and Instagram ads coaching. And if you don't have the Facebook Pixel conversion or conversion API connected to your mini chat, please do that so that you can track. And you're probably wondering, Quajo, I've heard that you can also run instant forms. Some people still call them lead forms. Those are ads that capture somebody's information on the meta platform without them having to leave to the a website. And you obviously know that you can still run ads where somebody clicks on a link and goes to your website, but then should we run one of those ads versus an ad to a mini chat connected Instagram reel? This comes down to testing. For some businesses, it makes sense to run those ads straight to their previously or currently high performing Instagram reel posts that are connected to mini chat. For other businesses, it's still much better to run an ad to a website. And I'm talking about a lead magnet, right? So that you can build your email list and sell more of your online course. Here's a scenario where it makes sense to run that ad to an opt-in that's on your website if you have a tripwire offer set up on that thank you page. Something for sale, like 27 to$37. Then yeah, definitely run the ad to your website opt-in page. Let somebody opt in for your free lead magnet, and then on that thank you page that they are redirected to, they have a chance to buy your low-ticket offer. Do that. Keep in mind that about 1%, 2% of people who opt in for a free thing will convert into the low-ticket offer that you're trying to sell. But you can also do something similar with mini chat. If you are good at mini chat, then you can set up a follow-up automation inside of mini chat where it waits a number of days and then sends a DM and says, Hey, how did it go with the free lead magnet? And depending on how somebody responds, it can also send another follow-up message again on a delay. Hey, are you interested in this thing that I sell? I don't see enough people doing that. I'm not a specialist in this, by the way, but there are folks who you can hire to set up a mini chat automation. All I know is mini chat is an official partner of like Meta, and it's probably not going anywhere anytime soon. Now, instant form as an on-meta platform, opt into your lead magnet versus sending traffic to a mini chat post, an Instagram post that's connected to mini chat, just test. If one is working only moderately well for your business, and you've already done the other things, switched up the lead magnet that's on the offer and also switched up the copy, and that hasn't brought down the cost per lead or cost per sell if you're trying to sell something down to where it makes sense for your business, then yeah, try moving those ads away from a mini chat connected post to your website, or just run a proper ad that's an ad that's set up inside a meta ad manager, or try to run ads to the instant form opt-in. You just have to test. It seems like it's complicated, but it does not take super long, especially if you have a VA who is literate in running ads, then you can have them run the test for you. You might find out that the cost per lead is significantly lower if you change up your strategy. And if you're curious about how to step by step lower your cost per lead, you should go down to the show notes below. And I have linked up there an episode that shows you on my YouTube channel how to lower your cost per lead step by step, how to read the signs, how to interpret correctly what needs to change so that your lead magnet cost per lead can get low. Until the next time you see me or hear from me, be blessed and take care. Bye.
