Phil Unicomb began flying in 1976 while still at school and has since become one of Australia’s most respected aviation professionals. His career has included corporate flying, aerobatic competition, and advanced pilot training. In 1991 he co-founded Action Aerobatics Pty Ltd with Squadron Leader Dave Freedman, serving as Chief Flying Instructor and Chief Pilot for 20 years and training many of Australia’s leading aerobatic pilots, including Paul Bennet.

Phil has also operated warbirds such as the T-6 Harvard, T-28 Trojan and L-39 Albatross, and performed extensively in air displays, including with the Skyaces formation aerobatics team across Australia and Southeast Asia. Following recovery from a serious airshow accident in 2011, he later served eight years as Chief Pilot and Chief Flying Instructor at the Royal Newcastle Aero Club. Today he continues to train and test pilots across Australia through Phil Unicomb Aviation Pty Ltd and as a CASA flight examiner.

Storm is passionate about providing pilots the skills to perform at their best. He provides coaching on the non-technical skills of aviation which will significantly enhance a pilots ability to fly more effectively and perform under pressure.
