Good Morning! I wanted to reach out to express my gratitude for both of you awesome ladies. It occurred to me as I was listening to yet another awesome episode that you guys have become my true crime comfort food (how about that phrasing!). It has been an extremely rough few years for me. I very frequently have found comfort and solace when settling in for an hour or so of peace and reprieve with you. I appreciate that so much and wanted to express that you have made an impact. One never knows how we might touch another person's life, or even IF we have made a difference. You ladies have and in a world so full of negativity these days, I am sending you some love and light. Thank you for being there and for unwittingly becoming a positive coping mechanism as I continue to claw my way out of this stubborn sh*t-storm that has it's claws in me (I have weathered many a storm, but this one? I have no words. So, I apologize for my diatribe. I wanted you to know that what you do is above and beyond true crime. That it has meant more than true crime, for me somehow. And some of us out here know and understand that you put so much into this. I'll end with this...in my 25 years of working in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment, I learned to sense, to feel, s heartfelt "thank you, you changed my life." There were three. I chuckle now; I just realized that two of the three came in the forms letters and conversations with the mothers of two different male clients. And after all of these years, I still have those letters. I made a difference.
I love your podcast. I enjoyed the conversation between the both of you and I appreciate that it's limited and that it includes our Lord. Bless both of you & your families.
