John Rollins is the Associate Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs at Lamar University (LU). He is a Southeast Texas native, and a proud alumnus of LU with a B.S. in Corporate Communication. In his career thus far, he has served as the public relations spokesperson for United Way of Beaumont and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. With 12 years of solid community and media relations, event planning, marketing and journalism background in the local nonprofit sector, John has now found himself embarking on a new journey in the world of higher education here at LU. His heart for community relationships is a perfect match for the LU Moment, and he is excited to bring his love for people and storytelling to The Nest to highlight all of the great things happening with Lamar University faculty, staff, students and alumni.
