Hello loves, welcome back to another episode of the Veronica Ramos podcast. It's Veronica, your host. I have my little matcha. I love me a banana matcha. I like to sip on my matas. I don't like the straw situation with matchas. I actually had some left over from earlier. I had one and I had some left, and I'm like, okay, let me add some ice and finish it. How are you guys? How's your guys' week going? I hope it's going good. I hope that your week is going amazing. I know sometimes we'll be having a good week, and then the next week is like, what happened? Are we all feeling the what is it called? The retrograde, the universe situation that's happening. What is it called? The renew retrograde? Something like that. But I have been exhausted, you guys. Like, I'm like, what is going on? I don't know if it's because like we were traveling and it was so hot. It was like 100 degrees outside, and I'm just like exhausted. I do think I got a little bit of sick, a little bit sick after my Mexico trip. Talking about my Mexico trip, it was so fun. I had such a good time. It was so hot. I went to Mitrokan. That's where my dad is from. That's where he lives. My mom too. She's from over there, but she lives here. Um, but it was such a good time. I have little brothers over there, like around my kids' age, and my kids just love going out there. So we've been kind of going every year. Everything was good. It's just that it was 100 degrees outside, humid, so just really, really hot. And it there is this thing called uh fondo de mar, I think it's what it's called. I think that's the word. And that means that the ocean is like more out than normal. So that was really scary because we stayed at a resort where at a hotel where it's the the hotel, the pool, and then there was a small little sand area that's just literally built from a little four wall situation, and the ocean was hitting that. So there was usually there's sand, and then it's a little bit of you know the edge of the ocean, and then it goes deeper. Well, no, this time it was like you can there's some little steps from there, and you would jump into the ocean there, like to your probably like your waist or something. So at night I was freaking out because I just thought that the ocean was gonna come out, like it was a literal scariness that I could not sleep all night until the sunrise would come up because there was a lot of thunder. Ahorita is like a lot of times of like UVI and thunder. So imagine like the ocean hearing the waves splash and then thunder all night. I would not sleep, I would get up and look out the window and see if the ocean came out and then lay down, and I was just kind of scared. And then I had another situation like really scary at the hotel, too. We were just like getting ready to leave, and then my son's like, ouch. I think it was yeah, my son was like, ouch, look, mom, what I found. And he found a needle on the bed, like an actual little tiny needle. And so that scared me. And I like was like, what the heck? Like, there's no way that like someone accidentally like they're using needles to like like the cleaning people of the sheets that they send them to to get washed or whatever. I'm like, it doesn't make sense that this would happen in an accident. So I was kind of like freaked out by that, and then I went to the front desk and I told them, like, you know, what we no, the thing is we ended up finding another one the next day. My daughter ended up getting um like luck, you know, she hurt herself with the needle, which is literally terrifying because you can get like different things from a needle, so it I was just really, really scared. I had so much anxiety that like for two days I was like, oh my gosh, like also in Mexico, it's more like it's giving brujeria vibes, and I just got a really bad vibe from that hotel, and I just I didn't have anywhere else to go because I don't have like every time we go, we go to that hotel, but I am done done with that hotel, like I'm never going back there. Um, but other than that, the trip was really good, it was just so scary, like the situation with the needle. Also, what else? I have like it's been crazy because I'll have like such a good week, and then I had such a bad week, and then now I'm back to having a good week. That's why I didn't upload, I was going through it with just like so much different situations um with work, and you know, it work is work, you guys. Like, there is so much like I am dealing with a lot of clients at the same time. That sounds mean, not dealing. I love my clients, but every situation is different, every single house that you that my clients purchase is a whole different experience, and so yeah, it's just it was a lot. Um, but I don't know, also what I learned was I had like a bad week where something happened, and then I was like, why did this happen to me? Like, why you know, and then I had because of then what happened was because I that situation happened, something even better came to me, and I was like, wow, like God just knows what he's doing, and yeah, this is just a reminder that um when bad things happen to you, things that you're like, why like why am I dealing with this right now? Like, you know why soon there's always a reason, so yeah. Let's get into today's topic. It's just a fun little episode. I am back to vlogging as well. I just got a little spurst of like I want to keep vlogging, so I'm gonna keep doing it. Let's get into today's topic. Today we are just doing answering your questions. I always leave down below a link, it's anonymous. You can ask for any advice, questions you have for me, and I will try to answer them. I'm actually answering most of them. I have no specific order, like usually I would do business or you know, beauty and stuff, but this time I'm just doing like random ones. So the first one is my partner doesn't post me. I feel like I'm being hidden. Okay, I feel like this one's a good, good question. I think that it just depends. Like, are they never ever posting you ever? Are they into social media? Like, are they posting everything else and like completely ignoring you know, not posting you at all? I feel like if they are posting like all of their life and then they're just not posting you, like I would be worried. For me personally, like my husband, he doesn't really post me, but he does have a few posts that I collaborated with him, and like literally, like real life, like we're so close, and like he doesn't post me on social media like that, and I love that. Like, I feel like it's something like sacred and like something that I don't really want to be sharing so much, like I feel like that's the only thing that we don't share, like our relationships so much on like social media, but also he does show me here and there, and like there's some pictures of me on his feed. Like, I think if he's absolutely like posting nothing of if he's not posting nothing at all on his social media, then you shouldn't worry about it. If he's posting like stuff about his life and like constantly posting, but it's never about you. I would tell him straight up, why aren't you posting me like what's going on that's weird? Um, and just confront him about it. I am direct to the point, yeah. I think it just depends if they're posting a lot and they're just not posting you, um, or like for example, with my husband, he doesn't post me often at all, and it's literally only if I collaborate with him, but it's just not his thing, like he's not posting other stuff constantly, right? But I think everybody's different too, so that's kind of hard. But that is my advice. I would just ask him, like, why aren't you posting me? Uh, why are you hiding me? That is weird first. I feel like it's a red flag. Like, what is going on, especially if you guys like what is he hiding? Why doesn't he want to post you, you know? So, yeah. Next one is my sister and me are fighting consistently. How do you handle being in fights with your sister? So, I'm assuming fights just means like arguments, like you're not physically fighting. I think it is so so normal with your sister to be getting in fights. It is crazy how much opposite of your sisters you are. Like my sister, like we are black and white, like a whole different like personality, our thoughts are different, our views are everything are so different, but like we still love each other, like she's my forever best friend, and like that's totally possible. The thing that has worked for my sister and me, because I feel like we're so different, is we respect each other's like like we know each other, and we know what she knows what makes me mad, I know what would make her mad, and we try our hardest to not do those things around each other so that then we can get along good, right? Also, I feel like me and my sister, it's funny because me and her can talk on the phone for hours and hours and be on FaceTime, but when it comes to being in person, like we could only be with each other for like a few hours and then we're like, okay, we're leaving. Um, but yeah, I think just knowing what makes them mad and respecting that, and then telling her, like, there is times where my sister, like there has been times where we're like, okay, we're just gonna like respect that, and that's the way she sees things. And I think if there's a mutual respect with each other, you guys can definitely like stop the fighting, and I feel like I'm a perfect example of that because my sister and me are completely different, but we still have such a beautiful bond, and I think that that's even better because I see different uh points of views on different situations, which is amazing because I have a different personality and now see things a certain way, and like you know, she'll be like, No, this and that. She thinks about it in a different way, and so it also helps me. Um, also, yeah, just not hanging as much in person, like we do hang out a lot, but just not for like a very long time, because then we will start fighting, but yeah, hope that helps. So the next one is what are your five worth purchases? Oh my gosh, I want to do a TikTok on this. Um, I don't even know. I'm answering these in the moment, so don't cancel me. Okay, so first purchase that I thought of thought is really, really worth it. Personal training. Oh my gosh, it is expensive everywhere, but you guys were gonna spend that money on dumb shit. Like, if you could afford it or like invest in it, it's going to change your life. I will never ever work out as hard as I work out with a personal trainer. I tried everything, and doing it on your own is like imp not to say impossible, but it's was so so hard for me. Like, you just do not push yourself as much as a personal trainer. I think it's worth every single penny. The next one I would say facials and medical skin grade skincare. I think the facials are important, but especially more the face stuff that you put on, like the lotions. I used to spend so much money on like random stuff that I didn't even know that worked. So having a professional like tell you what you need and use like really strong and good skin care for your face, especially like now I'm 20 28 now, and so I feel like if I really want like preventative stuff and my skin to look the best, I have to do that, and also my skin has never ever looked better than now since I started doing medical skin grade skincare, I think that's how you say it. The third one I would say comes to mind like random thing is like the shark, not the shark, the Dyson vacuum, but for like the laminate floor for hardwood floors. I have not touched a broom in like probably three years since I moved into my house. Uh green light that vacuums your floor, your laminate floor, you guys, worth it. You will never need a broom again. I love it so much, it's it's definitely worth the purchase, and it's lasted me like three years so far. The next thing would be a coach, like a life coach, like whatever you're into, it could be a business coach or a life coach. You will grow so much with investing in self and in your growth and in your life. As soon as you make a little bit of money, extra money where you could afford such things, you will duplicate more in your brain that will allow you to make more money, that will allow you to just open your head for so much more. So I think that is definitely worth the money. Okay, the last thing I think is worth the money, and maybe TMI for you guys, but I got rid of like all my crusty, dusty underwears, and I bought all skims, brawls, and underwear and all the undergarment stuff through there, and I just feel like my whole self feels good with like just elevated and nice, like having like cute underwear and just matching ones, nice ones, and I think it's worth it. I've seen people doing these TikToks, and now I know like what to buy. I saw people getting saying that the I don't have the Amex card, I need to get it, it looks really good. I also saw a lot of people's favorite thing is laser hair removal. I also I scheduled an appointment for that because I'm like, I feel like I need to get that already, but yeah, that is my five things that are worth the money, and those are a few things that I really want to get. Um, I'll probably get the Amex card here soon. The next one is what advice do you have for me? I'm going into college. How fun. I feel like that is like a dream of mine that I never accomplished. Of like, I think that's just such a I think that's just such a beautiful experience for you to have in life, I'm sure. I feel like that's such a beautiful experience that you're about to go through, and I'm really, really excited for you. I feel like what I would want to tell my daughter going into college would be to focus on her goals and be super, you know, locked in on them. But don't forget to have a little bit of fun. I feel like you're only going to be this young once. And yes, absolutely take your college very serious, but also remember to just have a lot of fun because it's a one-in-a-lifetime experience, and life is serious, but it's not that serious. Have fun. That is the best advice I can give you. Don't take things too too serious. Maybe it's not the best advice, but I just feel like now that I'm a little bit older, I feel like you should enjoy life a little bit more. And also, while and you can do that when you're locked in, it doesn't mean you're going to do anything that's going to sabotage your grades or anything like that. But just remember, have a little bit of fun. That's the only thing that I say. One is I'm starting a business with my husband. What advice do you have? Oh, congratulations! How exciting! I love love working with my husband. Obviously, nothing is perfect at all, but I love the flexibility of like we trade off the kids and like we're just like managing everything, and you know, it's it's a beautiful mess, and I love it. I think with something that has worked for my husband and I on that is we have our own thing going on, and we focus on different things and like on your own stuff. For my husband and I, we're in the same business, but he does his own and I do my own. Sometimes, if it's the same business, I would say to pick a role and talk about the role that you're handling and let him know that I'm handling all of this, and so you and him won't lie, like won't be arguing about certain things that he's doing that you're supposed to be doing, like you know, like clashing. Um, I think that would really, really help. But yeah, with my husband, we are not constantly with each other and we do our own thing, and then we come together with schedule and stuff, so that has helped. But yeah, if I think if you guys are doing a business together, that would be my advice to talk about what role each of you are taking, and do not jump into his lane, and you don't jump on his lane, and everything will then work out because you guys are not you know interfering with that. I think that's the best advice I can give you on that. But I wish you all the success and I hope everything goes good. So the next one is I feel so intimidated by the gym. Oh my gosh, I feel like I can relate to this. When I first started, I was so intimidated by the gym. Like, that's why I got a trainer because I feel like every time that I went to the gym, like I would just kind of not work out because I was so self-conscious and I felt like I wasn't doing anything right. I think what really, really helps, helped me was not because I didn't start working out with a trainer, like I had been doing it for a long time. What really helped me was getting into orange theory or like a place for me, it was orange theory. Now they have like a lot of different amazing gyms, but I would go to a class. I feel like a class is going to make you feel a thousand times better because there everybody's doing it, you see so many different sizes and different people that you don't feel weird. It also helps you keep going because then everybody's doing it with you. I remember how intimidated even then I would feel going into those classes because there would be girls doing it that had been there already for years and they would do it like nothing, but it was the best thing because I got a little bit more comfortable, and then I started doing like other classes. There's cycling classes. There's I know there was there's a new Pilates spa where we live that just opened up and it has like it has weight training and it has hot Pilates, which I'm so so excited about. But yeah, I would say get into a group class and you're gonna start to slowly feel more comfortable and confident in working out, but it's so normal to feel that way. I think we all go through that, and it kind of never goes away, but you get more comfortable for sure. The next one is how do I break the cycle of going back to someone who keeps hurting me? That's such a good question. Oh my gosh, I feel like we all go through that at some point in our life. I feel like we don't know what we don't know, and sometimes, especially when you're young, you don't know, you haven't experienced someone good, and so you just don't know that that exists, and you start thinking or believing that what you're going through is normal and that people can just hurt you, and that people can just do certain things or make you feel a certain way, but no, there is men out there that are good men that don't treat you bad. I think my biggest advice is love yourself enough, be so confident with yourself and know that you're worth a lot and that you're valuable and that you have so much to offer and that you don't deserve to be treated bad and believe it's so hard. Okay, you guys, that is it for today. I hope you guys enjoyed today's episode. If you did, make sure to give it a thumbs up, subscribe, share on your Instagram stories. I really want to build like a little community. If you stay to the end, leave in the comments what is your favorite part about your summer.
