Pastor Tim serves as the 15th Lead Pastor of First Pres. He serves this ministry as the primary preaching voice, spiritual leader and visionary shepherd. His true love is sharing the Word of God with a congregation of believers and seekers to see the Spirit move hearts to glorify God. Tim has degrees from Northwestern, Princeton, Oxford and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He is the author of two books: Illumination in Basil of Caesarea’s Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (Fortress Press) and Happy Church: Pursuing Radical Joy as the People of God (IVP). He is married to Abigail, a Pennsylvania native, who partners with him in ministry at First Pres and in town. They have four children, two still at home. A Colorado boy at heart, it is fun to be back in his hometown with his family who all now love skiing, fishing, hiking, biking and all that Colorado stuff Tim loves.
