Finding Your Place on the Ranch with Kristin Harms of The Basic Ranch Mom
In this episode of Sustain the Range, I’m joined by Kristin Harms, a third-generation rancher and full-time mom who plays a key role in her family’s ranch, Bieber Red Angus Ranch. Kristin shares how she manages ranch life with raising her children, managing the marketing, advertising, social media, and data management for their registered Red Angus operation, which focuses on breeding and selling bulls and females.
We explore what life is like on the ranch, from managing day-to-day challenges to the joy of involving her kids in the work. Kristin also discusses her Instagram page, Basic Ranch Mom, where she’s built a following by sharing her journey of finding her place on the ranch, embracing her unique role, and not fitting the typical cowgirl persona. Tune in as Kristin talks about growing her online presence and offers advice for women navigating rural life, business and family.
