Raff's Brain #244: Hot Yoga Problems - The Fallen Angel / Fallen Triangle Push-Up Must Be Stopped!!

Rob is back in the hot yoga studio—and back behind the microphone—with an acknowledgment, not an excuse, for the recent slowdown in Hot Yoga Problems episodes.
In this sweaty return to action, Rob examines the difference between explanations and excuses, makes the case for August as an underrated month for productivity, and previews several upcoming creative adventures. Those adventures include an AI filmmaking workshop in Los Angeles, a family visit to West Virginia, potential flood recovery work in his hometown, and a series of AI-generated promotional videos inspired by Bruce Friedrich’s book, Meat.
Then comes the actual hot yoga problem.
During class, a substitute instructor introduces push-ups from fallen triangle—a pose Rob immediately renames “fallen angel” and loosely connects to Bret Michaels, Poison, and the fitness habits of 1980s touring rock stars.
After completing four extremely questionable repetitions, Rob reaches his verdict: fallen triangle push-ups are unnecessary, unreasonable, and should be deleted from every yoga manual across the land.
The episode closes with a reflection on creative transformation, the discomfort that accompanies growth, and Rob’s belief that he may just be getting started.
