Uploading Problems

We want to make sure you can upload your episodes! If you're running into any issues, try these steps. Our Podcaster Success team is also reachable at support@buzzsprout.com to help you troubleshoot! Just email us any steps you've already taken, and we can help.

Check your WiFi connection.

If your internet connection is slow or unsteady, it may affect your episode upload. So, checking your WiFi speed or trying a different network can help if the upload fails. You can test your WiFi speed with an online speed test, like Fast.com. Ideally, your WiFi speed is over 100 Mbps.

Try uploading from a different web browser.

The browser you're using might have an extension that's blocking the upload, and the easiest way to test this is to try a different browser. If you want to stick with your default browser, disable all extensions and slowly turn them back on, one by one, until you identify the offending extension.

Are you running any antivirus software?

Some antivirus software blocks uploads. To run a quick test, temporarily disable your antivirus software and try the upload again. If that works, you'll want to add Buzzsprout as a "trusted URL" to the antivirus settings. The URL to add is https://buzzsprout-production.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/.

The Kaspersky Antivirus software has been known to block Buzzsprout uploads. If you are using Kaspersky and having trouble uploading, you can create an exclusion or disable it completely and then restart your computer. After the restart, you should be able to upload to Buzzsprout.

If all else fails...

Send us your file! We want to help you upload your episode as quickly as possible, so if you need to publish right away, send us your episode through WeTransfer, and we'll load it into your account for you. Send the file to support@buzzsprout.com, and email us at support@buzzsprout.com to let us know the file is on its way.
