love love love ❤️ your podcast. I too can talk dental billing, and coding all day long. One thing I would add for the medical billing is to make sure that your maximizing your patient’s benefit so if you’re doing a lot of oral surgery, bill the surgery to medical and then build the prosthesis to Dental because we know that medical is not going cover a prosthesis most times. Also, I'm not sure if many providers know that if you're in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are in network both dental and medical. They are the only insurance that does reciprocal coverage as far as I know. Also CBCT to medical!!
what’s the link to your ins commissions complaint episode? I’m in Texas
Hey Ericka! It’s Kelly Murphy, I’ve talked to you about a year ago, about dental insurance and some other things about the periodontal practice i work for outside Philadelphia, PA. I’m sure you’ve talked to so many people- I will not be offended if you don’t recall- anyways I am still a huge fan of your podcast and love listening to you! I’ve even got Dr. Hardan to listen to a few very helpful episodes! so thank you for what you do, you are truly a huge help for me! I was hoping you might have some time to meet with Dr Hardan and I to see if you have any ideas for a consulting program, or to help me take some of your billing classes. i also was curious if you happen to have any specialty billing programs out like for periodontics or Earl Oral surgery or endodontics… I'm thinking that might be something. I'm very interested in is having like a focus on periodontal or implant coating. Anyways, sorry for the long message. I hope all is well and I look that I could just text you through my Spotify app.
Hey Ericka, This is Nicole I was listening to your amazing Dental Podcast I am currently re-listening to episode #87 "Stop Verifying Insurance Like It's 1995" Priceless information thank you. You stated that there was a verification form that we could download, I just wanted to know if the form was still available for download, because I don't see it there. I would love to have a copy of this to use for proper insurance verification if you still offer it. Thank you in advance and hope to hear from you soon. ~Nicole And once again thank you for all that you do for the dental community.
Hey Ericka, thank you for the recent podcast with verification of insurance and the added questions we need to ask. My question is when you talked about the example of Blue Cross Blue Shield and that we’re not in network with them, but we may be In network with connection dental, you mentioned opting out. When we’re talking about opting out, you mean, calling connection dental, and opting out with them, correct? In other words, we can’t just opt out of connection dental through Blue Cross Blue Shield. It has to be all or none. and if we are contracted with multiple insurance companies and they are all leased through another insurance provider, they're going to choose the contract that is the lowest fee schedule to reimburse?
