Opened in 1885, the notorious Squirrel Cage Jail ran its operation up until 1969. The jail was known to house everyone from petty perpetrators to violent criminals. Designed as a rotating jail, inmates were confined to their cells and could only be let out from the entire jail spinning to a single opening where a guard was stationed. This had its faults as inmates arms and legs would be severed, with one inmate having his head crushed. Now a museum, this infamous jail is home to many of the artifacts and spirits that still roam its cylindrical corridors. We sit down to discuss our most recent investigation at the Squirrel Cage Jail.
