Hello and welcome to the meditation dread. My name is Julie Shan, and each episode is a mini meditation created for you to have a mindful break in your day. Today's mini meditation is called Zen in Ten. I love this meditation anytime I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed or stressed or there's too much going on because it reminds me to embody the feelings of words that are more peaceful and relaxing. So whether you are at home and in a quiet place or on the go, let's start to get comfortable for meditation and let's go in. Start to connect to the feeling, the sensations, and the sound of your inhales and exhales. Notice if you've been holding your breath with tension. And if so, see if you can take long, slow, deep inhales and exhales. I'm going to read a series of ten words to you. After each one, repeat it in your mind or say it out loud and try and embody the feelings that each word brings to you. Together, let's take a nice deep breath. And here we go. Release, reset calm, quiet, soft, peaceful, tranquil, harmony, compassion, love. And really try and allow the meaning of each of these words to sink in to your mind and to your body. Release, reset calm, quiet, soft, peaceful, tranquil, harmony, compassion, love. Take a few more rounds of deep inhales and exhales. Beginning to welcome back the present moment. Lily Tomlin, the amazing actress, said for fast acting relief, try slowing down. As you go about your day, remember that these feelings of calmness and peace, quiet and compassion are always available to you. Thank you for meditating today, and I will see you next time.
