Send us a text

In this 2-minute guided meditation, you’ll gently shift out of stress and into emotional alignment by asking one simple, powerful question: How do you want to feel?

This short practice helps you quickly regulate your nervous system, recenter your mind, and reconnect with the emotional state you want to cultivate.

Designed for busy moments, overwhelmed days, holiday stress, or anytime you need a fast reset, this meditation uses mindful intention-setting to bring you back into your body and back into choice.

In this episode, you will:

  • Release tension with a soothing breath pattern
  • Tune into your emotional landscape
  • Choose the feeling you want to anchor into
  • Restore calm and inner alignment in just two minutes

Perfect for mornings, mid-day stress, or winding down after an emotionally heavy day.

Thank you for meditating with me,

Julie

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie Sconn, and I have a very exciting special announcement today before we get into our meditation because I have just officially decided that I am going to create a 30-day one-minute meditation challenge that will be available right here for free, kicking off on the first day of the year, January 1st. So each day will be a one-minute kind of micro meditation. Every day will be different. It will be unique. It will be short enough to fit into your busy day, but long enough to really make that positive impact and create that shift in your mind and body. I would love for you to join the challenge if you are up for it. Don't forget to follow the show from your favorite podcast hosting site. And you will also be able to find it if you subscribe to my YouTube. Also, if you are someone who wants a bigger challenge or you already enjoy longer meditations, I will be creating extended versions of the challenge, as well as releasing new weekly meditations and mindfulness and rituals for your mind, your body, your heart, and home. These are all available on my Substack. So please subscribe today so you don't miss out on anything. You can find the link for that and much more at juliesgone.com. Okay, that's that. And now let's get ready for today's meditation. Today is a two-minute meditation practice that will help you align with however you want to feel. So start to take some deep breaths and ease deeper into your comfort, whether you are walking, sitting, standing, or lying down. This meditation can be done anytime, anywhere, and it's actually a practice that I turn to all of the time. Let's just pause for a moment and take a nice sweet deep breath together. Just reminding you that this time, right now, this space is all for you. As you continue to calm your breathing rhythm and relax your body, and to share a quick story. Starting right now and moving through the holidays to the end of this year, how do you want to feel? As the answers come to your mind about how you want to feel, starting now, moving through the end of this year, allow yourself to embody the feelings your answers bring to you right now. I will be back in two minutes. And check in with yourself. As you answered the question, as you thought about how you want to feel right now, did you notice a shift within you? We have a choice on how we want to feel. And I know sometimes that feels more difficult than at other times, but it's the truth. When we are triggered by an emotion, it lasts in our body for 90 seconds. And after that, it is just our choice if we want to continue having that feeling, if we want to let it go and choose another one. I invite you to practice this all of the time, especially in moments where maybe you're carrying something that you don't have the energy for, or you're ruminating on something that you want to shift. Thank you for joining me on Meditation Joke today. If you are able to and can comment, please, I would love to hear how you felt about this practice today and also like what feeling or feelings you are aligning with today and for the rest of the year. Sending you so much love, and I will see you here next time.
