Welcome back to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and today is day 23 of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today we are taking a mindful water break together. So before we go into meditation, hit pause and grab yourself a glass of water. And let's go in. Take a deep inhale and exhale and set an intention to mindfully take a sip of your refreshing water. Sound interesting? Well, in 1994, Japanese doctor Masaru Imoto conducted a famous water experiment. Dr. Imoto had many jars of water. Some he put into a room where he spoke beautiful and kind words to. He labeled them with love and happiness and even played beautiful music. And the other jars he placed in a different room where he did the opposite. He spoke and labeled them with unkind, hateful words. After some time, he froze all of the jars of water and looked at them under a microscope. What he found is profound. The water that had kindness infused into them formed beautiful crystals. The others with the hateful words, either no crystals or rough fragments of them were found. In summary, and how this applies to you, you are made of water. Your words and intentions, the surroundings you put yourself in, affect you either positively or negatively. So let's take a minute together to infuse ourselves with a moment of uplifting kindness, care, and love. As you hold your glass of water in your hands, take a moment to say some kind words to it. Fill it with love, with healing, with light, with anything that you need today. And now take a sip and slowly feel it nurturing your body as it moves from your mouth through your throat and all the way into your belly. Slowly take another and another. Feel free to close your eyes as you feel this water move within you. Remember, you are composed of water. So let this be a soft reminder to talk to yourself and to others with love, care, compassion, and kindness. Thank you for taking this mindful water break with me. I will be thinking about you as I drink water throughout the day, and I hope you continue this practice as it calls to you. Sending you so much love and see you tomorrow.
