Hello, welcome back to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. Today is day 25 of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today, our meditation is based on the five principles of Reiki. So, for those of you who are unfamiliar, Reiki is an ancient healing art that originated in Japan and has since spread around the world. And it uses energy as healing. Now, if you're someone who hears the word Reiki and thinks it's woo-woo, trust me, I used to be that person too. That is, until I was curious and had a Reiki session about eight years ago. And fast forward to today, I am now a certified Reiki master. So to each their own. But if it is something that you're curious about or want to know more about, I highly encourage you to find a Reiki practitioner or grab a book about it and give it a try. So for today's meditation, we are going to be using the five principles of Reiki. Each one starts with just for today, and I find it relieving, and I hope you do too. So let's do this together and let's go into meditation. Take a long, slow, deep breath, and I will be guiding you through the five principles of Reiki. Say these phrases in your mind or out loud after me, and I will be giving you a bit of space between each to feel the effect of each of the phrases. And here we go. Just for today, I will not be angry. Just for today, I will not worry. Just for today, I will be grateful. Just for today, I will do my work honestly. Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing. Take a deep breath and pause for a moment to just notice how this practice feels for you. Thank you for being here.
