Nancy & Sarah

Today we will talk with Shannon Farar-Griefer about “Who Are You When Things Get Hard.” Shannon is an ultra runner, coach, business owner, philanthropist, equestrian, gourmet chef, mother and a fierce Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Warrior who battles every day to maintain her balance and continue ultra running.

Shannon has finished over twenty 100-mile ultra races including finishing seven official Badwater 135 Ultra Marathons. Shannon was the first female to run the official Badwater 135 double, that includes 292 miles from Death Valley to the summit of Mt. Whitney and back to Death Valley where she started. In 2015, Shannon successfully  finished the official Badwater 135 while in the midst of a big MS flare. In 2015, Shannon was inducted into the Badwater 135 Hall of Fame.
