Can't make it to the beach today? We got you.

Life gets LOUD! Emails. Traffic. Notifications. Responsibilities. Adulting. Before you know it, your nervous system has been on red all day.

This meditation is your invitation to step away from the noise and spend a few peaceful minutes at the beach.

Let your imagination do the traveling. So, settle your toes in the warm sand, breathe with the rhythm of the waves and leave the stress of your day a little further up the shoreline.

Because sometimes all you need is a few quiet minutes and an imaginary beach. No sunscreen required.

When you need a peaceful escape, press play.

Hi, this is Adrian. Welcome back to another episode of In Case of Emergency Press Play. The beach has a way of reminding us to slow down. Whether it's the steady rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, the feeling of the soft sand under your feet, it invites your body to relax and your mind to become still. So whether you're sitting by the ocean or you're miles away from the near shoreline, your imagination can still take you right there. In this meditation today, you'll use the sights, sounds, and rhythm of the beach to calm your nervous system and reconnect with your breath. So when you need a peaceful escape, press play. Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position. Allow the ground beneath you to support the weight of your body. There is nowhere else to be right now. Nothing to fix, nothing to figure out. Just this breath. Just this moment. Slowly breathe in through your nose. And allow yourself a long exhale through your mouth. Again, breathe in slowly through your nose. And a long exhale through your mouth. Watch your breath settle into a smooth and natural rhythm. As your body softens, allow your attention to arrive fully here in this moment. Let's go to the beach. Imagine yourself on the beach, lying on your back. The warm sand beneath your body. The warm sand allows your body to relax. Feel your head and face and neck relax. Soften all the muscles in your face and jaw. Relax your shoulders, your chest. Allow your arms to be loose. Soften through your fingers and your hands. Release any tension in your hips, your legs. Soften through your feet and your toes. Imagine your body fully relaxed in the soft sand. Your whole body is soft and relaxed on the beach. As your body is supported by the warm sand, turn your awareness to the sounds around you. Notice the sounds of the water lapping against the shoreline. Children splashing nearby in the water. There's a soft breeze blowing over your body. And as you look down the shoreline, you see all the colorful umbrellas, beach chairs, and towels peppered across the sand. There are birds soaring above you. There are sailboats off the beach drifting by. Reconnect your breath. Send little movements into little places. Gradually guide that movement up your arms and your legs. Ease yourself back to the present moment, knowing that you have love in your heart, kindness in your words and thoughts, and peace within. From my heart to yours, wherever you are right now, take a breath. Loosen your grip a little. Be bold. Listen and be impeccable with your words. Do meaningful work and leave things better than you found them. We didn't plan for this, but we're here. And for now, that's enough.
